I tried playing RS Classic. It has nostalgia value, but everything is a million times more tedious, and honestly I'm glad RS isn't like that anymore.

I'm so torn, RS3 has much more convenience, but a lot of very stupid choices make it annoying still to me. Old School takes a lot of the stuff that pisses me off and says "Won't be needing THESE", which is huge points, but then all the tedium is back, and it gets really boring fast. After you've tasted the wonders of magic notepaper, you start to realise how much you take it for granted when it's gone. I dream of a runescape that is a mixture of both - EoC not even considered, bringing back combat that made the game so iconic (and also made PVP a thing, i've not seen a single PKer forever in RS3, even when i did a warband) but also have the convenience and fresh ideas to make the journey to 99 just that little bit easier on your sanity.

If they want PKing to be popular they should add PK gear of some sort. Make it look like PKers are bandits, add some unique PvP bonuses or just make it cosmetic. There's nothing to gain anymore.

I've never enjoyed PvP. Safe or dangerous, it just doesn't pique my interest. And I really wish they would update chat. I want to uppercase more than 1 letter in a word without having to do T.H.I.S

Spoilers for the latest quest. Apparently [sp]Zaros was birthed sporadically from Mother Mah. she is an elder god who was thought to have been stillborn due to Frenneskae's dwindling Anima Mundi flow, Zaros flew around the lower planes first to Infernus where he learned of language/bureaucracy and recruited the Cthlonians under his banner, eventually he went to Vampyrium and noted that the Vampyres are beastial yet has untapped potential, eventually they were assimilated and aristocracy took its place. eventually as he rose up to the higher realms, by the time he got there, there were other gods and there was a kinship with the Mahjarrat[/sp] Eventually you discover that [sp]The Mahjarrat was also birthed from Mah, they constructed their entire culture around Mah. from such as sacrificing themselves into the volcano as it erupts, to only breeding when earthquakes struck. Fast forward to the desert wars and it turns out that Sliske was the Mahjarrat who caused the split between ones following Itchlarin and the ones who defected to Zaros, after seeing Amascut warped (presumably) Tumeken blew himself up, killing under 500 Mahjarrat. Zaros learned that there was more to the realm and retreated back to build a sustainable empire[/sp] As for [sp]Seren?[/sp], turns out that [sp]She was also birthed from Mah, allthough she was more sympathetic, attempting to take care of her, preventing Mahjarrat from wasting their lives throwing themselves into the volcano by assuming her form, she's different from Zaros that she attempts to nurture the elder gods' creations rather than ambiguously control them for a greater good, she eventually settled on a verdant realm and assumed a form the natives are used to....however she's unsure if they genuinely love her, or if they love her because of a potential mind-bending obedience power that Zaros also has. this indirectly explains why Zaros avoids being public, he values free will...if people lived long enough for the effects to dissipate and they're still loyal, then their fealty is true[/sp] There's also a new [sp]Elder Artifact, it's The Measure....it seems to measure Anima Mundi flow[/sp] though at the moment you just use it at sites where [sp]Elder Gods may be sleeping...[/sp], the plot moved forwards though for the [sp]Elder Chamber[/sp] of Gielinor, though considering who was found inside....makes you wonder if the Under City of Prifddinas is one... Other note. 99 div! [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/Aie3wrV.png[/IMG] Miscellaneous story spoilers from the new quest... it appears that the Abyss [sp]May be some sort of realm that avoids being destroyed, The Dragonkin seems like their race was long since destroyed and they hid inside over the next universe rotation alongside any other remnants of races and worlds that somehow survives (including a native of Infernus, the Cthonians, which were overthrown and banished by Zamorak. in the Averic civil war) Zaros was planning to restore the Dragon Rider's fertility however he has to be an elder god to attempt that. there are outer planes at the lower realms full of elementals, Zaros calls this the elemental plane. apparently the occupants calls themselves gods....though im unsure what that entails exactly.[/sp] Sliske [sp]was excommunicated...he's probably a volatile card right now. he isn't a god though, but he has the Catalyst (SoJ) and the Siphon (Staff of Arma) he even gives you the ability to see into the Shadow Realm without the ring...though that might be so you'll panic in terror if he tries to assassinate you.[/sp] Nex [sp] is a Nihil, originally a beastial race that Zaros gave no heed to, except for one that grew and became exceptional compared to the rest. Zaros uprooted her with a shard from himself. the gods didn't fear her because of her power, but because of her potential. Zaros was an ascendant god by then and he had a follower who the gods themselves feared, she called herself Nex.[/sp]. Went on this game for the first time in like 8-9 months, and man I'm pissed off. I've lost about 14m due to the price of my full bandos and my amulet of fury dropping, and the yews from lumbridge have gone. God damnit.

God damnit.[/QUOTE] Furies dropped because there's a new necklace that's essentially free from a Grandmaster quest; One of a Kind, one of the end rewards is the Dragon Rider Amulet which has slightly less crit bonuses (read as [B]0.2[/B] less) than a Fury but it doubles Dragonbone burying pray xp and sporadically adds a DoT effect to Mage's Dragonbreath attacks, it also has 10 pray vs fury's 3. it only costs 500k to get it back from Mr Maudaut...unbelievably, it was more OP on its original release because it was always protected on death. (even in PvP) Chances are Furies will spring back once they add the Puzzle Skipping clue tokens/clue update, unsure of the rewards but one of the polls mentioned Fury Kits that might actually enhance it, rather than just adding a vanity difference. At least there's Divination fishing bubbles now, which is pretty neat since it's the only gathering skill i don't have at 99. 93 range. :p [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/BUIInqX.png[/IMG]

Who doesn't want to extend your inventory by 30 Slots and add a banking capability... Not to mention familiars such as Unicorn Stallion, Bunyip, Geyser Titan, Iron & Steel Titans, Lava Titan, Granite lobster, War tortoise and Spirit Terrorbird. Summoning is a skill you will need at 99. Which can't be said about many others.

Summoning is annoying to train, though.
