Completing a black dragons task at qbd makes my bank ROCK HARD
just finished monkey madness, christ that quest is a bastard
you think that's bad? so i did monkey madness years ago, right. eventually i started up recipe for disaster, thinking i still had my greegrees in my bank. lol nope, fuckin gone and i can't even remember how, so in order to finish that part of rfd i have to go back and remake greegrees and get an amulet of monkeyspeak and everything it pays to save your shit.
just finished monkey madness, christ that quest is a bastard
Monkey Madness is by far my favorite quest of all time. The music is great, the sneaking is a blast, the setting felt so threatening, and there was a huge amount of tension. Furthermore, you really felt like you were being a sneaky spy and it was fucking awesome. Runescape always does a good job all that kinds of stuff, but MM turns it up to 11. Also, it has the best, most balanced rewards out of any quest, sans maybe RFD and some others.
Just started playing 2007 for the first time since probably 2007 and I've been overcome with nostalgia It looks terrible and the gameplay is lousy but there's something that's really sucking me in and I'm loving it
don't forget to set private to show all so you can hang out with the cool facepunch crew (the cool facepunch crew is a completely made-up group that only consists of salty peanut)

Although I'm F2P as of now, cause I don't know yet whether or not this will hold my interest past the two weeks anyway. Holy shit tho the first time I walked in to Varrock and was overwhelmed by the big city... reliving that was pretty tight!
is there a FP FC/clan where i can talk to fellow nerds about runegame?
If I can do barely in Barrows in the Evolution of Combat beta (also alongside Legacy), can I do Barrows in the live game then?
If I can do barely in Barrows in the Evolution of Combat beta (also alongside Legacy), can I do Barrows in the live game then?
post stats/equip (also barrows is bad money maker now unless you're low level which i assume you are)
post stats/equip (also barrows is bad money maker now unless you're low level which i assume you are)
I've got Attack 62, Strength 65, Defence 68, Ranged 79, Magic 66, and Prayer 64. I'm using Royal D'hide armor (except Coif), Rune boots (I know, but extra lifepoints), and dual rune crossbows. Also Ava's attractor, and uhh Broad-tipped bolts.

Mage is literally one of if not THE most useful skill in the game. Its got passive profitable skilling (alching) as well as teles and ofc its a combat skill. Train it up until you can use a staff of light and proceed to fucking WRECK Side note: do dugneoneering. AT LEAST do sinkholes daily. Dung = free level 80 weapons (@@@@) Also the bone crusher, prayer necklaces and charming imp from dg make slayer ez mode

The fremmenik quest line is another good one, I think all of those are really. Also, my rs name is scrub_down add me lol
I heard that making air orbs are VERY profitable if you but uncharged orbs and charge them with cosmic and air runes. I calculated the profit to be 2,163gp/orb using air staff. I was told it was 1m/h and very AFKable. Is this true?
most of the brothers are melee. if you're going to use only ONE style use magic - it'll be like 100x easier and quicker.
just finished monkey madness, christ that quest is a bastard
jesus i remember when i played this game in middle school and completed that quest. the satisfaction when i equipped that dragon scimitar. i hid behind some giant pillar where the demon couldn't hit me and i let the gnomes take it down to 1 hp and i finished it off with my dragon longswords special attack.

Personally, I feel like I'm not so far back behind everyone that each level feels a lot more satisfying, and that's what I've pinned it on, not to mention my love for the old armor, chathead, and city designs.
I'm pretty far in to the game I gotta say that the high level content like the queen black dragon and kalphite king are really good. I want more of it, and we got that new spider boss coming so we probably will. I love the live game personally. Seeing how places have evolved and changed mostly naturally, and the content in RS3 is just better and higher quality than 07. In general RS3 > RS07 imho The only gripes i have are as follows: Some skills are STILL pointless, little to no reward grinds. After like 10 years of existing. I'm looking at you, agility, thieving and hunter. Also arguably MOST artisan skills (craft, smithing, construction, etc). A smithing rework is planned though, thank fuck. Thieving and agil have always been shitty non skills though - honestly i wouldn't mind if they got removed. The high level RS community fucking sucks. Its a constant circlejerk. Not maxed? Lol get good dont talk to me. Maxed, but no comp? lol gtfo. Trimmed comp? Nice, woah woah no 120 capes? lol gtfo git gud. Its really tiring for someone like me that just wants to hit the monsters till they die and explore the world. There are a few cool people, but the vast majority of cape kids I see are gigantic assholes. Microtransactions. I am fine with the cosmetic or laughably bad (50 runes) or insanely rare that you'll never get it (200m) shit but I am NOT fine with stuff like the silverhawks that essentially equate to buyable xp. Ever since Jagex got bought out a few years back they've become scummier, slimier and less respectful of their players... I really hate it.
I feel like getting back into RuneScape but oh god the grind. RuneScape's grinding just seems to be so much more painful then any other MMO and it requires almost no input. Is there any way to make grinding less painful, like at all? I usually just open up youtube and have them side by side for hours.

I only really divert full attention to RS when bossing or doing something else dangerous (like going to the wilderness) Also meant to put this in to the previous post but forgot :v My most valuables and loadouts for slayer/bosses:

See I'm sure all of the high level content is super cool but problem is that it's the only community Jagex caters to in RS3 so the early-mid game with the most grinding sucks horribly. It's no way to bring new players into the game.
See I'm sure all of the high level content is super cool but problem is that it's the only community Jagex caters to in RS3 so the early-mid game with the most grinding sucks horribly. It's no way to bring new players into the game.
A lot of high level content is accessible by lower levels with no money. You can go kill the kalphite king with gano and SoL - that's like 2m total. If you're poor and just want a crossbow forged QBD is possible with barrows gear and a anti fire shield/anti fire pots. No need for high level herblore or gear (but it helps ofc) and again total your loadout will be about 2m, probably less. And I guess the reason its like that with most content being later on is because of the fact that the majority of the time you play you'll be in the mid to high range. The halfway point between 1 and 99 is 92 after all. Level 80 in a skill will net you most of its benefits while being very obtainable at only round 2m exp (out of 13m). There isn't much point making lower level content when leveling at that point in time is so quick that people skip multiple tiers of armor because its not relevant?
I was thinking about Monkey Madness again and remembered that this is one of my favorite tracks in RS, what a mood setter. It's iconic.
Cool. Should uh. Should I keep this or cash it out? I don't use magic unless I need to.
you'll want to train magic sooner or later early on it seems annoying but later it will really pay off having all of those different spells at your disposal

Runescape grinding is rather mindless, I just zone out for hours without realising.
Cool. Should uh. Got back into this after a few months away, finally hit 80 runecrafting.
Wow I remember this from 2007 but I started playing Oldschool again prices are SUPER inflated from back then. Like 300gp for an iron bar and 200 for cowhides?

That's 6x the amount of time for coins to enter the game, and the game was much more popular too. From what I see in RS07 most people keep their wealth in items.
From what I see in RS07 most people keep their wealth in items.
this was always a thing in runescape though, you showed off your wealth by having fancy shit that served no purpose. why the fuck else do people go crazy over phats?
