Runescape V8 - I don't know, I just wanted a runescape thread that wasn't about the 2007 version

sit closer to the screen
Use the orion client, you can resize it to just about any size.
It's far from perfect but at least you won't have a tiny boxy on your screen to play with.
Tried using it, however none of their versions seem to work. I can register an account, and login with that on their website, however the orion client says "wrong login/password information" or "failed to connect to rsbuddy". Even reinstalled my JRE, still says the same.
However I tried out EoC again and setting it to the retro interface does a lot.
So i got 99 str now, i was thinking of getting fire cape so i can tick off the Karamja+Fremminik diaries, apparently the mages are hard as hell. im just here pumping JoT/Troll/Penguin/Tear xp into HP and Range...

You have my admiration, and my pity.
Is there any active FP clan atm?
Is there any active FP clan atm?
Look at Page 37, seems like there's not an active one.
So basically what I'm doing in EoC is playing with the retro interface and trying to raise my combat skills on karamja, fighting deadly red spiders to train melee, lesser demons for range and fishing for lobsters as food. Also just 1 more year for the veteran 10 cape...
Also thinking about getting membership, only bought it once for a month and that month definetely was worth it, though I've been overwhelmed with what I can do that it took me like the first 3 weeks to even realize what I can do.
Is there not a contactable customer support for RuneScape? Every link I got redirect me to the FAQ list

E-Mail. Expect it to take weeks or even months to get a reply, if you ever get one.
well, I forgot my email that I used for my account (since ive made alot on throwaway pures in the past, so I made lots of emails....) is there another way to get on my account? like, my friend has me added, but I changed my name, can I log in with the new username?
should be able to. if not try the previous username
Can't change login username/e-mail. It will always be the one you had when you created your account.
What is the best money making method in F2P that requires less attention? (i.e. that I can do while watching a movie)
I'm tired of competing with bots for these Zamorak wine
Collecting red spider eggs/limpwurt roots? I'm currently fighting cockroach soldiers for the noted mithril ore, but somehow it feels like even when you have like 5m it's nothing worth anymore, seeing as phats start at 1b...
Can't believe it's been almost 9 years now... just another for the veteran 10 cape. Still haven't got a skill to 99 though, highest is WC at 81.
combat level doesn't really matter for how much money you can get. pick a gathering skill and grind it a fuckload to a decent level until you have a good haul to sell for your first few million
for example I did nothing but fish lobsters from 68-80 and ended up with like 15000ish lobsters, which I then cooked for mad profitz
I'm trying to carve my OSRS character into the big leagues, I'm currently at combat level 49 (up from level 16, which I was at earlier this weekend).
I haven't played my OSRS character in a year and I just decided to start playing randomly last thursday.
As a level 49, what's a good way to make money quickly? I tried selling the several thousand bronze and iron arrows I have, but nobody was biting. My highest non-combat skill is Mining at 44, and what I've been grinding right now is Fishing which is currently at level 30.
I'm still hauling myself around with a mish-mash of iron and black armor. I've been trying to work most hard at the most practical skills, ie all melee combat skills, fishing, mining, and smithing, but I think I need a change of pace and need some real money before I continue. I feel kinda useless without a full set of adamant or rune.
If you want money now. Buy Flax and spin it. Not the most lucrative but it easily pays 100-200K GP/hour. If you're patient then Runecrafting or Smithing is definitely the way to go. At around 44(or 54 if you can't survive the Abyss) Runecrafting becomes very profitable and is a constant 250-500K gp/hour. At 91 Runecrafting you will start making 750-800K gp/hour and is one of the best money making methods in the game.
Another alternative if Runecrafting isn't your thing is Smithing. Once you can start Smith Rune Sword, Kiteshields and other Rune items it becomes amazing money. People who high alch will buy items from you, you will be able to make 1m gp/hour, I've seen some people even make more.
Don't bother Mining/Fishing/Woodcutting for money, it's pennies compared to what you can make dedicating that time in to other skills.
I've found that if you want to make items to sell long-term you can sell to people that keep hitting trade limits. They'll often pay you a little extra, too. I had a guy who was buying Maple Logs from me at over double the usual price.

This is an amazing way to make passive income in RS3. I constantly have a buy order for items such as Frost bones, Headless Arrows and Broad arrowheads and I sell them every couple of days and I make about 10-15% of their value. So let's say that Frost bones are 15K in the GE I buy 10K+ and I sel for 16-17K each. The GE limit on Frost bones is 1K every 4 hours. Which means that you can pretty much only train 1 hour out of every 4 if you choose to buy through the GE.
Man, money doesn't worth shit in RS3
10k used to be a luxury
Just realized that hans(he's called audero in the german version for some reason) also tells you how many days are left until you get either the veteran 5 or 10 cape, so yeah it's 43 days until the veteran 10 cape for me. Damn...
Man I completely forgot about that 10 year cape. I'm pretty sure I'm overdue on picking that up now.
4 days until I get my 10-year cape!
Should I activate my trial for OSRS?
I knew id regret making my rs accounit with a 10 minute mail account

You need to create a new account anyways, so why not.
Anyone know how to block people from seeing what world you're on? I've got some dickhead following me across worlds and pking while I train agility in the wilderness.

Just put him on your ignore list? You should look permanently logged off to him if it still works that way.
Also if they put out a 15 year cape I'd be ~1.5 years away from it. Have to say those vet capes look like shit, but it's still fun to wear the 10 year one and have people spaz out all the time.

Nah ignore list only prevents them from being able to speak to you. If they still have you friended then they can still see what world you're on. Figured out that if I just set myself to appear offline then they become completely cut off, so I'm finally rid of the snarky little asshole.
or put yourself on friends only
So I guess that Elf thing came out today. Anybody played it yet?
Would Elvarg in OSRS be beatable at level 50 (defense 41, attack 42, strength 42, hp 42, magic 1, prayer 17, ranged 1) with nothing but full adamant with rune scimmy and a full inventory of cooked lobsters?
that's currently what I have and would like to fight Elvarg. I beat all of the quest up to Elvarg where I died to her with this exact same loadout except for significantly worse food (cod and 4 sharks), I had an adamant scimmy instead of rune, and I was level 49 combat.
easily
