The 200th Quest was revealed at RuneFest 2014.[20]. "Next year marks a pretty momentous occasion for us; the release of our 200th quest! There’s been plenty of heroic acts and iconic adventures leading up to this 200th milestone and we started to ask ourselves a lot of questions: What if there weren’t any heroes in Gielinor at all? What if nobody made that cake for the king’s birthday? What if nobody thwarted the plots of a sea slug controlled penguin? What if nobody found out the truth behind the Ardougne plague? What if the bacon cultists really had eaten all the pigs out of existence? Our 200th quest will see an entirely different Gielinor come to life. In this alternate universe Zemouregal is bored, he’s taken the throne of Varrock and no one has tried to stop him. He’s noticed that Arrav is no good at playing fetch, and is useless at keeping the rats out of the sewers, so he’s taken Gertrude’s cat’s kittens and turned them into war beasts of terror, but even they have become fat, lazy and overgrown. And what has become of Delrith? After the black wizards successfully brought him into the world and demons ravaged Lumbridge and Draynor, he made a cake from the bones of King Roald. Now he’s decided to turn the whole place into a den of iniquity, inviting the world’s super villains to gamble with people’s lives, and he’s turning his timid staff into zombies just for pronouncing his name wrong. We want you to visit this alternative Gielinor where the hero never existed. You’ll encounter in jokes, iconic references, and as many favourite characters as we can muster. Will you save the day this time? Will you pick up the flag of peace and prosperity in the face of such adversity? It’s up to you; what does your alternate universe look like?"
seems legit, would be interesting if it was based on what quests you had completed.
Sounds just as awesome as I had hoped.
Eh, I really like what they did with RFD.
RFD is by far my favourite quest. I hope that this new 200th quest is able to live up to what they're promising. I want a new multi-part quest.
Are there any guides on getting bonds? I'd love to get back into RS but it was only fun with membership
Ah damn. Every now and then I stumble upon the RS wiki fascinated about the history and evolution of Runescape. I'm really sad to read, though, that Tutorial Island was officially removed from the game in 2012. I know it would've been stupid to keep it there, but I sorta wish they just left it in anyway despite it's uselessness. Keeping it in the game after all those years complete with the same NPCs and everything was just incredible to me for some reason and I'm actually really sad to hear it's fully gone. I would've just loved if they kept it as a ghost island that you could catch a glimpse of if you tried, but complete removal hurts. And damn. I just found out that Prifddinas was released. I love the fact that they actually turned it into something after all this time, but I absolutely loved the mysteriousness Prifddinas evoked since so little was known about it and it was formerly a huge field.

It's not worth grinding hours and hours for 100-200K GP/hr when you can make 1M GP/hr easily starting out on membs.
Ah damn. People managed to bug/glitch to the island and iirc couldn't teleport away while on the island.
Why would they want to leave??
I just hope it and future quest lack any sort of super time consuming and or unique to player puzzles.
I find the puzzles fun. I dont see why people cry about them - they're designed with 12 yearolds in mind, if you cant do them, holy shit.
I find the puzzles fun. I dont see why people cry about them - they're designed with 12 yearolds in mind, if you cant do them, holy shit.
I have practically no tolerance for puzzles, especially boring ones.
I loved rfd, the whole quest was epic. Hope they can do something as exiting again for 200
I loved rfd, the whole quest was epic. Hope they can do something as exiting again for 200
$20 says 2 hour quest, 40 minutes if you skip dialogue/use a guide
when i started playing rs they hadn't added tutorial island yet you just picked a class (it changed what stats and gear you started with) and then they dumped you next to the well in lumbridge you could talk to the guides if you wanted to but i think i just walked around and died a lot

naww man i started in late 2001 or early 2002 definitely before i remember when they took it out again though
naww man i started in late 2001 or early 2002 definitely before i remember when they took it out again though
Afaik RSC didn't have Tutorial Island, but had its own tutorial.
okay now i gotta know according to the wiki, tutorial island was added in september 2002 that's after i started playing but before rs2 came out in 2004 when rs2 came out they took the classic snapshot so if you went and played classic now you would play it with tutorial island also by the time they took the snapshot for classic all characters spawned in with the same stats so you can no longer play the now coveted "miner" class that started with a hitpoints level of 8
I thought I joined RS in 2003-2004 but the 10 year cape guy said I still have a year to go.
I find the puzzles fun. I dont see why people cry about them - they're designed with 12 yearolds in mind, if you cant do them, holy shit.
I think most puzzles are OK with the exception of Elemental Workshop 3. Fuck that.
I think most puzzles are OK with the exception of Elemental Workshop 3. Fuck that.
im quite convinced i botched that quest and am unable to finish it. that and i stopped caring, and yes it was a pain in the ass because i decided not to use a guide for it lol.
Is it against the rules to have a mule account to stash items on? I hate that I can't play on my main character cause my bank is full of member's junk.
you can make as many accounts as you want.. and no, i've done trading between accounts for years now.
you can make as many accounts as you want.. and no, i've done trading between accounts for years now.
That's a relief. In addition to member's stuff, my account is also just ancient. I'd hate to get it banned for something so silly.
Is it against the rules to have a mule account to stash items on? I hate that I can't play on my main character cause my bank is full of member's junk.
It's allowed as long as none of your accounts are breaking any rules.
That's a relief. In addition to member's stuff, my account is also just ancient. I'd hate to get it banned for something so silly.
if i still had my original account i'd be a happy camper luckily i was able to get my friend's old account that's about lvl 107
so i decided to log back in to runescape after many years and holy crap how things have changed. not sure if i'll like it again or not. so far, im not to thrilled about how the UI changed. i feel like there's so many more menus than there needs to be.

Its one of the best UI's I have seen in a game, let alone a mmo. Spend 20 mins just looking in to it, toying with features, and looking up other peoples UI designs.
