The ghost armour is pretty nice for ironman accounts. I've been rocking Imphide for a week now, finally got a T70 Hybrid armour. Haven't had luck at werewolves.
Also the cremation is also pretty nice alternative for ironman accounts, beats ectofuntus hands down.
Any comparison between cremation/altar/ectofunctus xp?
Any comparison between cremation/altar/ectofunctus xp?
Cremation is 250% XP, altar is 350% XP with both burners lit, ectofunctus is 400%.
Just started up on OSRS. Going for 5 attack/5 defense then just level up prayer and strength. Is Orion safe to use?

Yeah orions fine, just make sure you get it from rdbuddy.
I miss my Pro trial.
is the members only stuff worth it? i thought about buying a month just to get the extra junk because why not lol
Hoe do you even play the game as a non member??
Decided to try playing the new Runescape after stopping around 09. Spent an entire hour in the new tutorial city grinding my mining, smithing, fishing and cooking when i realized they didn't cap how high you could level your skills. Made about 600 bronze arrowheads before remembering fletching was a member only skill. Starting to remember how much fun i had with runescape back in the day.
Also not having to use runes or arrows is pretty cool, not sure how to feel about health getting inflated by over ten thousand percent, but at least i don't need to heal as much unlike 07Scape where i would need to heal every 2 or so fights with a goblin early on now i can just eat a minnow for 200 health and not need to worry because the chance of any enemy smacking me for that much seems pretty much nil.
To bad i lost my old account because they deleted inactive names and i can't remember what email i used for it.
Probably going to end up buying membership, but not before i raise all my non-member skills to at least 40, don't want to waste valuable member time grinding non-member skills.
It's cheap and you get access to 99% of the content.

f2p is a trial
99%? Wat. More like 10%. Or 5%.
99%? Wat. More like 10%. Or 5%.
He meant that membership is cheap and gives you access to the other 99% of the content.
He meant that membership is cheap and gives you access to the other 99% of the content.
And you only effectively use only 25% of the content

Well the way he replied to my post made it look like he meant f2p had 99 % of the games content.
it would be nice if you could get more than one trophy a day, i don't want to have to play this for 9 days straight just killing demonic ghosts, i'd rather there be a set amount of demonics to kill per trophy.

They need to keep people interested in the event. And having trophies is the perfect way to get people to revisit the event. It took me about 30min to get all the rewards in W2.

I understand the seasonal novelty to keep engaged but the event is pretty much "welcome to death's mansion, pls grind some ghosts lol". Guess quest staff have something better to do.
Wtf android keyboard
Yeah the event did feel pretty grindy but whatever. What keeps me going back is the fact that the chest always gives me bones. By the time this event is over, I'll probably have enough to reach 99 prayer.
The song alone keeps me coming back to the event and keeps me enjoying it.

okay
but they need to not make it a 24 hour wait
also, what armor would be best for my skill level
also also, i have no idea how to get rid of this green skin thing anymore.

Get GWD Power armour if you have the money(Bandos/Subjugation/Armadyl) Since your dungeoneering is so low, aim for 90 attack and save up for Drygores if you don't already have the dosh for it. I'd recommend getting them ASAP as they're cheap as hell atm because of 2x xp weekend coming up.

To get rid of the green skin, i think you have to go to the makeover mage south of Taverley near the south/west wall of Falador (or just jump the wall at fally west bank). unsure if it's possible to do it at Diango by opening his reclaim interface and simply clicking the green skin on Promotional....probably safe to do it by Makeover mage though.
Other note, anyone else kinda surprised by how many bones simply leaked into the game just from Death's Chest alone? i was doing things like thieving elves and Sinkholes/dailies between the 10 minute intervals, but now in just logging in for the chest whilst doing WoW/KoL dailies. like the Lamps, im surprised Jagex hasn't limited the opening of chests to people who actually made effort to catch ghosts.
PS. Demonic Ghosts are overpowered, their scaring BS is just lame since most times it'll lose you out of earning points for helping in killing one.
Probably got about 1k+ regular, 600 Big and 100 Dragon bones. you may want to hoard daily task keys for the Ghostweave Promo then whore the hell out of skills.

Thing is, this wasn't the original idea. They polled their Halloween event earlier and people wanted it scrapped, so they had less time to make this one then they would usually.
It isn't very thought out.
You can just wait around until a ghost is almost dead and start dismissing it and get full points.
Ghosts can pass by moonlight, forcing you to stop attacking, and sometimes becoming practically impossible to fight until they move.
Nearly everyone just crowds into the dining room to summon demonic ghosts and destroy them in 4 seconds. Seriously, there was about 500+ people inside that room. My client and computer were freaking out.
Yeah I gotta admit, letting people decide what the event was this year was a stupid idea. Why would you go through the trouble of working on a Halloween event only to ask people what they want to do and end up having to scrap all your hard work?
wasn't there supposed to be a quest in addition to ghost grinding?
The new quest is out and boy is it something. It has this very eerie feel to it, and it has a lot of ambient noises that make for a good spooky atmosphere. While I wasn't scared by anything, there were a few moments that made me open my eyes wide, a good example being [sp]the servant in the beginning that gets eaten by the bigass tentacle that erupts from the painting.[/sp] Although I do feel that the end of the quest is a little silly with how you can solve the situation.
I've tried to do the challenges, but i wore down 37 minutes long before i could get the Chains key. even worse, most of the time, the doors don't emit shadows so you wont know if the ghost is there unless you waste valuable seconds peeping. and the HP is just atrocious, i had to eat 2 bits of meat.
think i rate this quest a D-, music is sorta OK, but the whole Wow-it's-SPOOKENING thing is just out of place in some way, felt like the quest had somewhat of a budget, but it just doesn't feel that worthwhile. after someone writes a more better worded guide in a thousand less words, people will just do it once, then leave. no one would care about the weekly large lamp, it'll die out like Skeletal Horror!
That ending though, how does it snapback like that, why sling a tiny spindle of lore NOW? it's a novice quest, i never seen any of Jagex's supposed references to other quests or content besides the 5th age Wine Barrel that takes a jab at Runescape 2007, but then mention it isn't as good as 06 or 10. seems almost as ridiculous as Cacus!
I've gotten two luckies this week. Easy cash.

i'm digging this halloween quest
very reminiscent of resident evil
God I hate the new quest. I want that ring but it's impossible to complete this clusterfuck in 37 minutes. I'd easily rate this as just slightly better than MEP2 on the scale of awful quests. So, -15/10.

that 271k exp for replaying (from temporals) is tasty looking, also a huge for replaying it once a week..
but fuck that. Quest as bad. of all the quests i wanna replay, this isn't one.
also i calculated it and i'm gonna get 2 more agil levels from the halloween event before its over. brutal.
