• Runescape V8 - I don't know, I just wanted a runescape thread that wasn't about the 2007 version

So i managed to beat the challenge mode in 30 minutes yesterday, apparantly in the knife room [sp]you walk, rather than run across the glass, it's basically more tolerant Lego or even hot coals[/sp], there's even a transcript of books you should've seen the quest, but couldn't be implemented due to translation budgets. Turns out, the developer team was supposed to make a quest on the tier of Swept Away, but got a little too ambitious with the quest, so some aspects were kind of barebones, never the less the quest probably touched upon gameplay mechanics or internal features of the game to full effect like One Piercing Note. Also got 115 dung, and cashed out a Lucky Bandos Helmet. It contains massive spoilers and shouldn't be read until you've completed it. This text hasn't been edited or checked. I hope to be able to get it into game eventually, but in case I can't I thought I should post it up for those who've finished the quest. This book would be found in the tomb room in the basement which contains the two sarcophagi. [sp]ORMOD'S LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT My work here is done. The servants have been discharged. No more shall this life trouble them. I have taken poison, and now I retire to my tomb to rest beside my wife. The voices call me murderer, but I know that history will remember me as an entrepreneur and visionary. My father was a merely a crude tribesman, but it was through imagination and hard work that I made my fortune through the forging of civilisation itself. Many were the warlords who wished to control Misthalin, and runestones were the key. I established the supply and trade of these precious rocks, and grew wealthy from it. My work was important, and it kept me busy. I loved my wife, but I had not the time for our son or his foolish distractions. When the pox took her, Saradomin did not care to double the hours in my day. My work was what kept this great house over our heads, but a stupid boy of two winters cannot understand such things. I took on a nursemaid to care for him, and simply required that she keep him constrained to the nursery tower. His needs were satisfied. He had food and books. When the nursemaid committed a grave error by damaging one of my relics, I disciplined her as any good master ought to discipline a servant. Perhaps I did lose control of myself, but history will agree that the blame for her death lies with her. Had she been less clumsy, it need not have happened. It was many weeks before I remembered the boy in the tower. By that time he was quite dead. That fatuous nursemaid had failed to provide him with an adequate source of water. Another death to lay at her feet. May Saradomin have mercy on her black soul! It was some time after this that I found myself becoming inexplicably prone to unsettled moods. I sought a solution from the Orders of the Wizard's Tower with whom I did business. I made it clear to them that some sort of curse or other magical malady was to blame, and they laboured to create a spell to remove it. They failed. Their excuse was that they did not have an explicit understanding of what had befallen me, but I named them as the faithless traitors that they were and sent them away. I sought insight instead from tribal seers and soothsayers. One toothless, sightless elder told me that the my freedom lay buried deep beneath this very house, although he could not tell me what it was or how it would help. With no other recourse I dug deeper and deeper beneath the house. I had seen fragments of ruined stonework to the south, and it was possible that something lay buried down there. I was proved correct when my crew opened a deep cave, and in that cave a great door, magically sealed. The door resisted every effort to open it. No man or tool or spell at my disposal worked. I attempted to contact the Wizard's Tower but they compounded their earlier mistake by refusing to even speak with me. Whatever lay beyond that door would remain there. I sealed the basement away and put it from my mind. Clearly the soothsayer had been wrong. I thought on the matter for some time and eventually realised the answer to my predicament. My malaise was an inevitable result of my knowledge and experience of life itself. In retrospect it seems obvious to me that a life which would take away a hard working man’s wife and child is not a life worth living. This realisation made, I knew what had to be done. Before I could rest, I would pass on the wisdom of my discovery to the servants so that they need not suffer as I had suffered. To make their final hours more entertaining I sealed the mansion with magic and hunted them one by one. To my sister Briaca I leave the mansion and all of its contents. May it shelter you better than it has me.[/sp]
being a kinda-low level both combat and dg level sucks 99.9% of the threads in dg adventure parties are selling floors, the other .1% are almost maxed players looking for 120 im only 106 with 66 dg, I guess randoms are the way to go :v:
I am ready for bxp weekend. I have 99 construction (level 86 now!) banked. it'll take 20~ hours to burn through all my planks but I plan to alteast do 75% of it during bxp, hopefully all for the cape. also got 99 summoning (from 96) banked and 97 herblore (from 94, purely in extremes/torstols) banked.
Got 99 herb/summoning too. wasting rest of my bxp time at agility.

Is that really what the hud looks like now disgusting
Is that really what the hud looks like now disgusting
the way he has it set out is fucking weird tho it's priddy good once you get it set up how you want it
Is that really what the hud looks like now disgusting
it's one of the best mmo huds ever imho. The only way it could be better is if they made a hud API. It's that good. I can make the game a measly 200x100 for idle/afk skills while doing other stuff, or I can have the game take up an entire monitor and have my hud so literally EVERY piece of info I need (prayers, hotbar, inventory, chat, familiar details, buff timers, equipment, minimap...) while bossing is visible, and since you can edit where the game is rendered, it doesn't cover anything either. Spend 15 minutes looking up peoples designs and messing with the options. You'll love it. Out of all of the updates jammy has done, I adamantly believe the new interface system is easily in the top 5.
that guy clearly set it up to look like the old hud
that guy clearly set it up to look like the old hud
It's a default template.
It's a default template.
well there you go i think you need to have the game on a small resolution for that to work though, my default setup had the boxes spread around like wow
Why are bonds going up again? Are people stocking up on them for Elf City 2?

That hydroponics skill sounds interesting...
I havn't played RS in like 5 years, so I thought i'd give this new RS3 a try. I really love Ironman mode. Rank 1 here I come!
Been thinking of taking this game up again, maybe even get membership now that I have a job and can actually afford it. Nor sure if I'd get 2007 version or just go regular though.
Been thinking of taking this game up again, maybe even get membership now that I have a job and can actually afford it. Unless you physically can't live without blocky graphics, botters, and hardcore grinding, there's not many reasons to play RS07 for anything but nostalgia.
What are they thinking.....
During first quarter of 2015, the price of membership will increase for new members and those who've been unsubscribed for longer than 14 days. While we haven’t finalised the date for the increase or the exact pricing yet, we wanted to let you know about this well in advance.
http://services.runescape.com/m=news/membership-price---important-information?jptg=ia&jptv=community_news

More skilling content in RS3 but carries more prestige in OSRS.
