seriously that bs has been going on since last summer. part of the reason I unsubbed was because it was impossible to get anything done without being interrupted. why can't they get their shit together?
Double exp in Old School?
nope, just RS3 [editline]20th February 2015[/editline]
Small developer team and limited player base results in less funding/resources.
has nothing to do with being small, just comes down to the fact the lizardsquad has a big enough botnet that it can't be mitigated. if they can take down xbox live and psn at the same time, why would we expect rs to be able to handle it? though i'm more curious as to why they are targeting US servers more and rarely attack UK or german servers.
i wanna know whyt hey even target RS at all. compared to WoW, LoL etc we have like no playerbase [editline]20th February 2015[/editline] ddosing rs is like beating up a disabled kid
though i'm more curious as to why they are targeting US servers more and rarely attack UK or german servers.
You actually wonder, why someone would attack US - servers?
Well decided to give Runescape 2007 a go considering I haven't played any sort of Runescape since 2010. Feels good to be back to where I started and feel like I fit in most importantly and not feel like the game has left me behind. Friends list feels empty though, I don't think anyone has logged into the game since 2010.
You actually wonder, why someone would attack US - servers?
no, i'm curious as to why they're focusing on them more.

I thought FP had an OSRS thread. If it does, it's pretty dead.
I thought FP had an OSRS thread. If it does, it's pretty dead.
it did, but I'm pretty sure it was closed when they changed FP's layout and merged shit.
I thought FP had an OSRS thread. If it does, it's pretty dead.
there's no point in separating the thread. there's already so few facepunchers playing either game anyway
that's what happens when you sell your company
It would be the best thing in the universe if RS became the first MMO to allow drag and drop modding of ingame assets, though I'm not going to get hopes to high. I fucking hate walking into populated areas in RS now due to all the flashy microtrans garbage cluttering up the game. Most of the outfits and overrides are fine by me, but the amount of followers, wings, tails, particles, etc it just looks fucking awful; as if the people who made them had zero intention on making them look at home with other items.
That is what put me off rejoining the game after logging in just for curiosity, its very off-putting. I really do hope that the classic 2007 version is here to stay.
but i started playing when i was 11
Playing OSRS is like playing with a bunch of old men. They all unanimously agree RS3 is terrible and then they reminiscence about the good ol' days. If I had a gp for every time someone said "I started playing when I was 12"
An argument i see a lot is "wow rs3 sucks but i wish 07 had summoning dungeoneering make X better graphics and -more shit-"

If I had a gp for every time someone said "I started playing when I was 12"
It's literally exactly like this if you go on any clan-run Counter-Strike:Source server, except half of them actually somehow did end up as 50 year old men
Oldschool RuneScape is too tedious, and RuneScape 3 is too flashy.
All I literally want from Old School RS is a bigger playing window, it was fine back in 2006 (When I was 12) but now it really isn't.
All I literally want from Old School RS is a bigger playing window, it was fine back in 2006 (When I was 12) but now it really isn't.
It's being worked on. I think they said it's coming soon.
It's being worked on. I think they said it's coming soon.
ETA is 3-6 months.
So I just found out I was still paying for membership.. (oops) Should I play RS3 or oldschool?
So I just found out I was still paying for membership.. (oops) Should I play RS3 or oldschool?
happened to me. got on last week, and it said i was paying since November. i really need to watch my bank account more. OT though, go oldschool if you want a real runescape experience, rs3 if you want a slight rs/typical mmo experience.

all asians are natural math wizards except this one kid i know, he actually managed to fail math. but then again he was adopted by white people and doesn't speak a lick of korean.
It appears Old School RS is becoming a thing in my college class, caught three people today playing it (Not like a give a shit) with one going 30 minutes without being noticed and only being interrupted by the end of lesson. Hopefully it should mean my friends list is less void of life now.
Man, I don't see how 2007 could be considered the "good old days" anyway. That was when the miniclip kids started really turning f2p into a cesspit. I still play OS sometimes tho because nobody ever fucking comes on classic with me.

I honestly feel like a relic who's time has come and gone. Old School RS lets me go back to a time where I don't feel that way.

I wish people could still go and play that version of the game, back before tutorial island, back when people would still sell phats for 100gp and break the shield of arrav quest by selling phoenix crossbows at the general store. That was my runescape if ever there was one but I still play rs3 sometimes 'cause I feel like I owe it to my original character to keep playing him now.
So you're one of the 10 people that still bot classic.
Fix'd
