Yeah, when I was doing kalphite slayer task there was 300 total level guy scavenging potato cacti that spawn. Other time when I went to level divination in the karamja, no less than 2 bots were nature running.
i think its in their best interest to keep goldfarmers away, they probably earn more money if people buy first party gold instead.
that would be the case, but you have to remember that this is no longer andrew gower's jagex. shit, it's not even the jagex that belonged to the people responsible for solomon's store and eoc anymore.
Legitimate gold(Bonds) will always be purchased, just because it's legitimate with 0% risk. The goldfarming market for this game has been in decline since before the release of the EOC. I used to buy/sell gold over at Sythe back in the day and I know what the game over there is all about. Sythe is a dying website and more and more goldfarmers are expanding in to new markets to keep their buisness viable. This is mostly because of the decline in playerbase but also introduction of Bonds in to OSRS and RS3.
Shameless stolen from lmao pics. [vid]http://a.pomf.se/dcacyb.webm[/vid]
its weird that some bots are still around [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34721652/Screenshots/bot.png[/t] this guy has been crafting nature runes like 24/7 for 2+ months on the same world, i wonder how the bot manages to not get detected.
Self-coded bots (Simba for example) is quite safe if you code it smartly. I shamefully coded a simple script for fletching many years ago and it didn't get banned whereas all the Java bots got banned. Assume its the same now, long as it's not being excessively gold farmed.
So a few hours late. but Mod Reach was fired from Jagex for something to do with OSRS. maybe he attempted to sneak in some changes for the sake of taking advantage of it for RWT companies or something, but the main upload Devs noticed it before doing anything. Also, think im 11/14 Gold fish eggs in modern. word of advice, try saving your golden mystery eggs for until you're at the worst/slowest fish like Rainbowfish and Rocktails/Cavefish/Lobsters. better fish is Monks, Swordies/Tuna (maybe even moreso with agi and porters), Sharks (? remember to turn off great white sharks) and maybe Barbarian Fish...assuming you've got a Shark suit. otherwise you could just set the fish to the combat bar and press keys to instantly drop them quick. as for perks, go for the perks that increases Prawn ball rate always, then if you're full of eggs but you want to do easier fish, pick the aquarium landmark of the area with that fish and fish there. Eventually you get down to perks like featherless barbarian fishing, but avoid the cosmetic overrides/pets and use those last, the doubled length prawn penny/pound buff is nice too. lasting 50/200 fish is better than 25/100. One thing i discovered is that Dwarven Instinct didn't seem to proc whilst doing featherless Rainbowfish, think i wasted a whole day's aura on that endevor.
wow what the fuck Reach
oh wow i forgot about the easter event this year was it anything worthwhile?
oh wow i forgot about the easter event this year was it anything worthwhile?
Modern RS has..Jadinko Feet, an Egg on a Fork and Jadinko pet. OSRS had 6 or so easter eggs from killing festive mobs and Bunny Feet (new item made for OSRS) with the old Easter items.
Mod balance popped up, and things got pretty interesting. :v:
Decided to start playing OSRS again, and I noticed that GE required you to have 24 hours played on your account. If I get membs will I get rid of this limit?
probably not. it shouldn't be tough to find 24 hours worth of stuff to work on in f2p worlds anyway
Getting membership removes the 24 hour limit on both the GE and trading.
I just miss the old appeal system Jagex had, which didnt work at all.
The HTML5 beta appears to have broken my house [t]http://i62.tinypic.com/2dj1405.png[/t] Going to check whether the ground exists in the client... [editline]26th April 2015[/editline] Fortunately grass and walls exist in the client. Seem to remember leaving my house in Rimmingtom though, now to find it in Taverley.
What're you using the HTML5 Beta for? It's rubbish.
I just wanted to quickly login on chrome, and HTML5 is the only option since they dropped java.
I don't know about you, but rs works fine on SwiftKit Java. Granted I had to download 32 bit java
I finally got tired of 2007 and decided to give 3 a try. Can someone provide me with the reasons it gets so much hate? My only complaints I can see is that the "intro" is a bit too long and kind of ruins the point of early-game smithing. Other than that, it seems pretty nice
because eoc is wow jr and cosmetic microtransactions
one of the biggest reasons I stopped playing RS3 was because I couldn't stand how so many parts of the game have been basically abandoned and un-updated by jagex, especially in the wake of EoC which broke/trivialized most of the quests involving combat. it's basically impossible to die unless you're completely oblivious and even if you do it's stupidly easy to retrieve what you've dropped so there's no punishment or risk and that "scaling to your combat level" thing they introduced with the Death of Chivalry was especially stupid. it just dumps a ton of HP onto the enemies without actually making them any tougher. just means you gotta spam more abilities at them until they go down
The combat abilities weren't very thought-out or well-implemented. It's clunky and I had no idea if the abilities I was using were more effective than me using the old combat system.
it's basically impossible to die in most of the quests unless you're completely oblivious...
Birthright of the dwarves. I double dare you. :v:

I feel like there's not much to do in Runescape 3. PKing is more or less dead, legacy is pretty horrible. Everyone's chasing xp/ranks and features such as Treasure Hunter has more or less ruined that aspect of the game. You're not cool unless you're maxed/comped with multiple 100/200M. Sure, you can do PVM. But if you ever want to get to the very high end and get on good ROTS/Vorago teams you will have to slave away to get your comp cape to be competitive enough. Unless you're satisfied with grinding Bandos for hours on end. Weapon diversification is weak. Nothing distinguishes weapons like they used to. Game is unbalanced, a level 1 rat will be your best grinding buddy until you hit 40/50 in your combat stats. Nothing else is really worth killing until then. Insane amounts of dead content exists in the game. A ton of mini-games are dead and deserted. There are certain parts of RS3 which are great. If you enjoy questing and lore, OSRS will not be the place for you. The grind is reduced significantly, multi-thousand hour grind to max has been cut down by a lot. But I feel that ultimately the bad outweighs the good. I spent a good chunk of time on Runescape 3 and I quit about two months ago, ~15 levels shy of maxing. I felt that the time investment wasn't worth it in the end and I'm having a much more enjoyable experience playing OSRS again.
They're bringing back a feature to make people want to play minigames.
Oh, I've heard about that! They're putting in some new features, like "fun" and "not stupid boring".
Fun is subjective. Also, no.
So apparently the Spring Cleaner sucks a bit now. mostly because the 10k maximum tier upgrade cost is putting too much pressure on the value of the Spring, to the extent that people are losing something like 2.5k per Rune Bar salvaged. also, with the stackables being salvagable. the thing they didn't mention is that it could break down Ammo which is considered a metal-class weapon except this means if you was salvaging Rune items and a monster drops 15 Rune Arrows a kill, you're wasting 5 springs on 5 Rune Arrows. (i wouldn't be surprised if you only got 1-2 bits of coal, or just 1 whole log)
Spring Cleaner was(is?) overpowered as fuck. I'm glad I managed to get mine already. I feel bad for everyone who missed out. It even outclasses Silverhawk boots as an OP reward.
