Runescape V8 - I don't know, I just wanted a runescape thread that wasn't about the 2007 version

Finally after being ~10 levels away from maxing for month, I managed to push myself to achieve it. Not really sure what I'm going to do now, I feel a bit lost. I'm probably going to focus a lot more on OSRS from now on.

My character looks sexy as fuck now.

My character looks better than your character.
Fuuuck, got my attack to 58 before enlightment wore out on Tuska parasites. College work means this is gonna take a while
Pretty sure Peter already quit Runescape since he got pissed at how easy it became to level the skills.
Still a cunt thing to do, hack into the most known player's account.
No zezima still plays, in fact he streams sometimes, just not osrs

This.
I doubt Jagex would allow Zezima to remain as a mod if he retired.
For the first time in my Runescape "career" I have equipped a piece of dragon equipment.
I am excited.
What's your levels? I can give you some dragon armour and weapons if you want.
Oh, no. I thought you meant RS3, sorry my bad.
make sure to buy dragon stuff like the scimitar and dagger from the grand exchange where they're much cheaper
So... Jagex just released their latest podcast about the first new elite skill, Invention.

I've got 40 def, 44 mage and 63 range. I'm going for making a badass pker. I kind of wanted to raise my str and attack, just so I can switch to g mail and fucking rek people.
Where should I go to train combat stays at 33attack 35 str and 40def?
i'm at 40/str/att/def now, which one should I level first? should I just get them all up to 50 or rush one up to 60 (60 attack for the dragon gear maybe?)
I liked having def higher, because that means I could kill higher level monsters and need less inventory space for foodresulting in more gp and xp
get attack to 60 then do the others, then just get them to 70 and then train strength a lot
Why is the Runescape website so messed up on Chrome? Clearing the cache doesn't work, before you ask.
What is QOL?
quality of life?
quality of life?
What does that mean in runescape?
What does that mean in runescape?
think it just means gameplay changes, like how Jack of Trades used to reset the minute you use it on the next day, eventually they were updated to reset at midnight regardless of how much time it was to recharge. this also extended to the Explorer's and Wisdom Aura. or D&Ds having a global reset time such as Tears of Guthix, Penguins and Circus being every Wednesday instead of ToG being 7 days since last entry.
i caved and went back to rs3 (inb4 i post this again in two weeks and say i caved and went back to osrs)
enjoying the new content, very overwhelming but i'm getting used to stuff. i think the main reason i'm back is the fact that there's new stuff, i actually quite like the combat changes, and i love the art style. as a 3d artist i'm sorta amazed how good the game looks considering the limitations
[editline]13th June 2015[/editline]
are there any custom clients similar to osbuddy for rs3? i'm missing the sweet experience tracker, the ability to check stats of people nearby me, price checking and whatnot
I wish there was a droppable hood similar to the one that Dark Wizard mobs wear to match my dark wizard robe top and skirt. (osrs)
There's Ahrims but that's for p2p. :(
can I remove tools I put on the toolbelt?

There is. Never used OSBuddy so I don't know what it has, but Swiftkit is the RS3 equivalent.

I don't believe so. You can only replace them with higher-grade tools.

SwiftKit is fine. But it has limited functionality. I would strongly recommend the Runescape 3 tool called Alt1. http://runeapps.org/alt1
It doesn't inject anything in to the client, it simply scans the screen. It has stuff like an XP meter, where it calculates your XP/hr based on popups and it also has a drop logger which logs which drops you get from X boss, through multiple sessions. It's definitely a neat tool and it works for any Runescape 3 client, I'd highly recommend it.
So I tried to play RS3; I made a new account and downloaded the Runescape client, but I ran into so many issues: black screen, login screen wouldn't let me type, graphics wouldn't get off of safe mode, fps lag spikes, bad fps on min graphics, etc. In OSRS, I easily just loaded the game in my browser and it started playing right away with 0 issues.
Now I'm not surprised that RS3 is dying; how can Jagex even find new players if their game doesn't work out of the box and requires the player to mess around to fix it?
GTA V on max settings runs better than RS3 on min settings.
(I'm posting on a Mac, but I play games on my Windows computer)
but rs3 isn't dying at all.
Even though I don't think RS3 is dying I think that Jagex needs to be extremely concerned by the alienation from the game some long time and returning players have felt playing the newer game. I myself couldn't even navigate the interface properly when I first played it and had to switch to legacy mode. I think many people (myself included) feel that RS3 is no longer their home any more and feel like relics due to the amount of changes. The introduction of Old School as well only adds to tensions between veterans and newer players I feel and only adds to the "them and us" mentality.
Me and a couple of friends were doing drag pking last night on osrs and jesus, the amount of bots was hilarious. We probably made over 15m on skulling bots and taking their precious whips.
Haven't played in a very long time, decided to make an account for Old school
Few questions:
Is there a Facepunch CC?
If I'm playing Old school, can I talk to people playing regular? The same for clan chats, or is it all completely 100% seperated
Bit stuck on what to do, I'm probably going to lv woodcutting to cut willows. How do I build cash before then to buy better axes and who do I sell to?
Cheers, yeah I remember all about the GE (arguably one of the things that ruined the game I think aha), didn't realise it was backported
I logged onto my main on regular RS and was met with a tonne of crap on the screen, missed the simplicity I remember
