GE is the best update that happened, fuck trading people, cba wading through 10000000000 people in seers bank trying to get a dmed
Trading people, having "bank sales" outside seers bank, going to world 2 to sell some shit was one of my favourite parts of the game. I actually loved spending 30+mins trying to buy/sell something at a decent price, I get how convenient the GE is ESPECIALLY for those shitty smaller items you need for quests but I feel it replaced something important to the game
plus with the GE they added all those alternative teleportation methods to Varrock such as the spirit tree transportation system, the Fairy Ring just outside the GE wall (don't think that was there before), and the minecart to Keldagrim fuck it I ain't wasting the runes, have you seen the prices for Laws? sheesh
nah spirit trees were there before iirc?, was just not as accessible (was pretty much in the same place before and after the GE, but the GE and the wall shortcut to edgeville made it much more useful.)
yeah you can see it there [t]http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110711100608/runescape/images/9/93/RuneScape_World_Map_March_2007.jpg[/t] [editline]14th June 2015[/editline] fairy ring also, but keldagrim no
Somehow I have kept a stable amount of law runes (around 100 constantly but dips sometimes) for months, and i'm not exactly being conservative either, slayer drops and cluescroll rewards are nice for laws. I've really only bought ~150 law runes since before christmas
Trying to fish shrimps at Draynor but some fucking lv7 dark wizard keeps targetting me
Haven't played in a very long time, decided to make an account for Old school Few questions: Is there a Facepunch CC? If I'm playing Old school, can I talk to people playing regular? The same for clan chats, or is it all completely 100% seperated Bit stuck on what to do, I'm probably going to lv woodcutting to cut willows. How do I build cash before then to buy better axes and who do I sell to?
No Facepunch CC. Friends list and Clan Chats are cross-game, that means if you play OSRS you can be in a CC with people from RS3 and vice versa. I posted about two pages back about Blast Furnace Smithing. It's the best money making for newer players, you can easily make upwards of 400K/hr. Giving you a solid method of building a capital before pursuing other aspects of the game.
I have never used the blast furnace, how does one use it?

If you're playing OSRS you should do Knight's Sword. The Knight's Sword quest is incredibly easy, and will get your smithing from 1 to 29. Once you're 29 you train your smithing quickly to 30(I'd recommend Iron knives, since they tend to sell for a profit.) Once you're 30 you start doing Blast Furnace, creating Steel Bars. The thing about Blast Furnace is that it halves the coal required to make a bar. So instead of requiring 2 coal for a steel bar you only require 1. This reduces the cost of making the bar and increases the profitability. Not to mention you can craft a ton of steel bars in a relatively short amount of time, a lot faster then smelting in a furnace. It requires some start up cash, or atleast some ore. But it's an incredibly good money making method when you first start playing. Last time I did it(Shortly after GE release.) I made about 400K GP/hr.
I'd also recommend looking up a guide, either on one of the fansites or Youtube. It's pretty simple.
I should start playing osrs on an ironman or someshit, if thats even possible. rs3 is really nice, but I dunno if I really feel it anymore.

I can't believe you get so many smithing levels for one quest. I've got 99 smithing on my main (bragging rights) and I remember it taking weeks just to boost up a single level
Not a bad clue
I don't think I've ever received a worthwhile object from a treasure trail.
I don't think I've ever received a worthwhile object from a treasure trail.
Zammy Pages are the best thing I've gotten (numerous times). I'm surprised they've retained such a high value throughout the years. Haven't checked in a while, though.
Are items like Santas, H'masks etc worthless on OSRS? I know they're expensive as hell on RS3
Are items like Santas, H'masks etc worthless on OSRS? I know they're expensive as hell on RS3
They are worthless. Everyone got multiple sets.
Members can get 2 free bank boosters from solomon's store. Each booster grants +50 bank slots.
Why not be able to purchase more bank slots in game with your hard earned GP? There could have been a whole system around bank membership that matured as long as you kept paying them to use more slots.

Missed opportunity there. Would have driven the price of them skyhigh though.
On Runescape's website, they show the amount of players currently online (Usually 70-90k). What percentage of those players are bots?
I've just picked up a set of guthans (rs3) cause I've got 70 def now, wondering if I should get another barrows set for other things? or pick up bandos? what kinda stuff can I do now, can I start doing barrows runs or other boss type stuff? it's really hard to find info about this sorta shit online, is there some sort of guide somewhere that tells you what you can do at what levels
On Runescape's website, they show the amount of players currently online (Usually 70-90k). Exact percentage is hard to estimate, I'd guess 10-20%. If you want to kill bosses, you could probably start going to Bandos, I'd recommend bring a friend at your level. Barrows is also an option, it's decent money at your level. Make sure your Magic/Ranged is high enough aswell(70+ is what I would recommend.) King Black Dragon & Giant Mole are also low/mid level bosses, easy to kill. But if you want to make money, I wouldn't recommend bossing yet. I would recommend that you start killing some dragons, work on getting your Dungeoneering to 85+ which unlocks you Chaotics and a large amount of other rewards you can buy. Also at 85 you unlock Frost Dragons which are pretty good money and can be camped easily with Magic Notepaper. Working on Herblore is also strongly recommended, atleast to 85 Herblore so you unlock the Super Antifire potion. Guthans is good if you want to train your stats at places such as Hellhounds, since the full set effect gives you a chance to heal on hit, mitigating any need for food. For general bossing, training and money making I'd recommend Bandos. It's cheap and very good. Another option is to obtain Void Knight armour from Pest Control. Superior Elite Void is the best armour in the game because of the Accuracy/Damage boost it gives. And it's BIS for DPS at bosses where accuracy might be an issue. I'd recommend read up about different things on Runescape wikia, they have some really solid guides.

Why doesn't the Sous Chef Toque give you access to the Cooking Guild?
