Willow Logs being only 8gp a pop has its perks. (I chopped the other logs myself.) 1-70 fletching here I come.

The only reason why I had fletching so high in modern rs is because a few years ago willows were actually worth selling, but I didn't sell them and their price dropped too hard. Ended up having over 40,000 willow logs to carve for fletching. That day, the market was flooded with willow bows.
Welp, definitely not at a high enough combat level for raids but poisoned Airuts give some damn fine exp, as do Nemi flowers for farming Anyone have any idea what the mysterious staff is used for?

it seems they've massively upped the drop chance of nests while woodcutting (on 07) i've made like 200k from nests just from 50-57
1564 keys it's time [editline]17th July 2015[/editline] made 9 more keys to compensate for any fuck-ups I might have made while cremating
God, there is a ridiculous amount of dead content in Runescape that Jagex is never going to touch again. Things like Trouble Brewing, that Hunter vs Thieving minigame, rat pits, things that nobody plays because the rewards are garbage and Jagex isn't going to overhaul them again. Also somethings are just stupid, like how Castle Wars rewards system works. You spend 20 minutes for like 2 golden tickets, and it takes 800 golden tickets to buy something. The amount of sheer time you have to spend to get the requirements for a completionist cape trimmed version (I personally don't care about, but I pity the person who does) for that task alone is ridiculous. If Jagex were smart they would overhaul the rewards system to Castlewars, making things cost less or giving more tickets and perhaps make rounds last less time, aswell as adding new rewards and reimbursing players who spent a lot of tickets on the rewards with tickets to be spent on the new rewards. But of course, everyone will act entitled because "W-well I had to go through it this way, why do they get to do it more easily?" and GOD, I hate that mentality so much. People complained about Pest Control giving a lot of experience when it's like why would you ever complain about a source of new experience that's easy? I don't understand this mentality of people bitching about it being to easy to earn xp in RUNESCAPE of all games (It's not like a MOBA or arena FPS being dumbed down, not comparable at all). And it's these people that are the problem and why a lot of things LIKE Castle Wars and the agility skill will get the overhaul they need to be not-bullshit. Minor rant, fuck Divination. I wish I could buy my way to level 75 because the xp/hourly rates are atrocious, I'd much rather it be a pay-to-win skill like prayer because at least that doesn't take forever.

What combat stats are recommended for Elvarg on f2p 2007 scape? My current set up is fully addy with 33 stre, 32 atk + def, not sure if I'm ready yet
you could do it now if you make good use of potions. don't forget that all dragons are weak to stab attacks
as long as you can use steel weapons/armor you'll do fine, just get lobsters and potions like salty said. i beat elvarg at level 37 with stats good enough for the best steel armor and a mithril 2h.
me and my mate decided we'd go hunting green dragon bots, to get a bit of pking practice and just for a laugh really we were hopping between different worlds looking for folk to kill, i came across this guy with a d scim, rune set /w a proselyte helmet and curiously an obby cape so of course i let my friend know that we've got someone to kill on world xxx as i'm stood waiting a) for my pal to hop and b) for this guy to finish killing a dragon, he starts running away mid fight. i assume it's because he saw me, so i flick my run on and go after him only i then see a level 81 chick, decked out with an ahrims staff, zammy book, full ghostly and think "it's alright i've got sharks and karambwans, i've got 60 def and she's likely got 1 or 2, and the teleport obelisk thing is over there so i can get out of here" only apparently house tele tabs don't work above level 20 wildy so i had to fight her. it was going alright but i've literally never pk'd before in my life, i had a super set so i potted up, tried praying mage/range as she was swapping between the two, and it came down to us both seemingly having no food and about a quarter health left she starts running, so i go to flick my pray magic off and equip my dds to hopefully knock her down with a whombo combo, but i think she could tell that i had no clue what i was doing and was fumbling around trying to get it all done quickly (i was panicking and dragging items around my inv etc) so she came back and hit me with a mad ice barrage which killed me i'm not too fussed, i found it fun honestly, i lost a helm of neitiznot, some rune boots, a rune kite, an anti-drag shield and a glory which i can afford to get back without much trouble i might even go back and try it again
you got lured like a little bitch boi
what would you guys say is the lowest combat level for killing a black dragon in OSRS, and do you have any tips for doing so
You can kill them as a range pure at lvl 50. Anyway even if you are not pure based use range for them.
so I'm guessing there's a safespot for them? Where would the safespot be? As you can probably tell I'm doing Recipe for Disaster and I'm down to the last hardest two miniquests, I'm level 74 for the record and my stats are pretty universally 60-61 across the board except for ranged which is 40 and magic which is 55. I'm training my way up to finishing em off.
Yeah there is safespots in taverly dungeon as far as I know. You can kill them with safespot if you use dragon halberd or whatever its called but I still recommend that you use range.
I wouldn't recommend killing Black Dragons under ~90 Ranged. Stick with Blue Dragons if you really want to kill some, but even they will be incredibly slow at your level.
at 40 yea, but 75+ you will be fine
Just got back into runescape again, and holy shit membership is 10 dollars, that's bloody expensive.
it's only that price as of last March. it was 8 before
And 5 before that.
They keep bumping the membership prices up. Both games are growing steadily, OSRS is most popular it has been since release and we all know that they're making a killing from selling MTX and spins on RS3. Jagex is a one trick pony, we all know that. But they're still blowing a stupid amount of money on titles which turns out to be huge flops. War of Legends, FunOrb, Transformers Universe are examples of their fuck ups(FunOrb was pretty fun back in the day tbh.) They bought and fucked up Ace of Spades, and now they released their new Minecraft-esque shooter, which will probably crash and burn too. Now they're hiring streamers and youtubers to be the face of Jagex, trying to improve their image. Jagex Mods are developing their own following in the community. There should be a barrier between the staff at Jagex and the community, an anonymous wall. Just use your community manager, that's what he/she is for. Instead I get bombarded with what Mod Mark at for lunch and memes of Mod Ash. /rant
I think with the OSRS team being as small as it is, them being more "in with the community" was always going to happen, and hiring Chris Archie wasn't a bad move for them. I don't think it's a problem really. I don't know about RS3 though.
jagex should just stop making other games and focus all their resources on runescape. I mean, has there been a single jagex creation that hasn't flopped? most of them haven't even released. even funorb, which was popular for a while, died a while back.
My first visage at iron dragons while doing slay, probably at around 300 killcount too [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/jSVeEXJ.jpg[/img_thumb]
