I have a question. *Ending Spoilers* [sp]Apparently when June/Akane had a fever, it was her past self dying in the incinerator, but how come she was still alive in the present? Did the first Nonary Game restart when she had a fever, all the way till Junpei saved her?[/sp].
Do not know if this will double post.

Actually [sp]Did she get Fevers in the True ending? I can't remember, except for the first one after the 9th guy died, but that is still her dying 9 years prior.[/sp].

Major 999 spoilers.
[sp] If I remember correctly the reason she was still alive during the flow of everything was because of the fact that she hadn't died yet, it went into a whole deal explaining that the flow of time only goes in one direction but really just splits. I think it's also a Schrodinger's cat kind of deal. And no she didn't the sign that she was getting fevers was that Junpei was going along the wrong path, and the Akane from first Nonary game was getting close to dying. [/sp]

[sp]Oh ok, that makes sense, but the creator did say that Akane's past self was dying when fevers happened[/sp]

[sp] I just always assumed, I read the Faq a loooooong time ago so I don't remember if it stated it blatantly.. But I reason from it because Akane disappeared in the safe ending, implying that she had disappeared because her past self was incinerated. I think you can still look it up in the old 999 website for it though. [/sp]

[sp]Actually I got the fevers being incinerated from the old website, mainly the questions the creator answers[/sp]

Ah okay, but yeah I still don't understand how *Game Spoilers, including ending* [sp]Akane is still around in the second Nonary game after her fever, because the fever is Akane dying, also it is for going on the wrong path, but dying from incineration[/sp]
on the flipside of zero escape 3 possibly never coming out, NIS america announced they're localising danganronpa2
thought i'd just mention this cus they're kinda similar (puzzle game/visual novel) and are made by the same dev (spike chunsoft)

I think a better way to look at it would be to think of [sp] Her fevers as her existance being erased rather than her dying. For example, her actually already being in the incinerator and not knowing what to do might trigger the fever and headaches that her existance is close to being erased, or dying. [/sp]
Talk about blackbar general

I actually think I figured it out.
[sp]She does die in one timeline, but another timeline of her going through the Nonary game open up, allowing her to see into Junpei's future, basically she keeps dying till one timeline of her, is at the same part where Junpei and 9 years younger Akane is in the incinerator.[/sp]

If ZE3 does get canned, or the budget isn't going to work out, I hope they consider just making the first Nonary Game, I don't mind if it is basically the same as 999, we can play as Akane or something, I'd buy it for sure.

Actually the creator of 999 is friends with the creator of Danganronpa.

Unless they get a new investor, or another game will play drastically different (or be different tonally), then I doubt we'll see another game in the series. According to the writer, both games are financial failures in Japan and haven't returned a profit.

[sp]That could work, but that leaves unexplained why her body disappears in the Safe ending and another one of the endings that I know I am forgetting, I think it's the knife ending.[/sp]

Simply put if it can't make any money where it's actually being made I doubt anyone is going to go for it unless they really feel strongly about the series. One of my other favorite series, MegaTen, is popular both over in Japan and has a cult following here in the U.S, which is why I imagine they can afford to localize a few things over here since they sell more copies in Japan.
Japanese people need to stop liking stupid and gay shit and give the games a chance. I'm super glad that he seems to be listening to all of us in America begging for a Kickstarter though because I will drop so much money on that, as will tons of other people. They have all been messaging him on Facebook about doing it and stuff like this is hella heartwarming to see.

Actually that got explained, atleast for the True ending. [sp]She goes through a hidden hatch or something, leaving the room, like in the True Ending.[/sp]
I purchased Virtue off the eshop just now, its downloading. Should I play 999 first or is that not required?
I'll have to find my DS to play that, haha.

Does it? Huh. [sp] I don't remember it explaining anything about a hidden hatch, I do remember about Santa fucking with shit but I guess the same could be with June [/sp]

Yes. Play it. You will miss quite a few things if you don't to be honest.

You should play 999 first, you can probably beat it in like 2 days if you just get the Safe Ending then the True Ending, but I also recommend all endings except Coffin, since Coffin adds nothing.
In VLR, there is some spoilers to 999 from what I heard, so it's a good idea to play it first.
Does it? Huh. [sp] I don't remember it explaining anything about a hidden hatch, I do remember about Santa fucking with shit but I guess the same could be with June [/sp]
[sp]Well nothing about a hidden hatch, but it is implied that Santa does get Akane out of the Room or something in the True Ending, you can assume the same goes for the other endings[/sp]

Well makes sense, I can go with that. But like many things in it there's quite a few things left to interpretation.
the next zero escape should be an idol simulator
bam, fixed your funding problem

He seems like a really nice guy. Makes me sad that he's having so much trouble.
So I'm watching a LP of 999. This shit is so fucked up. They don't show it but its graphic as fuck.
rip 9th man
This game looks pretty neato - can anybody link to the English IOS version?
This game looks pretty neato - can anybody link to the English IOS version?
999 is for DS only so you might be able to find an emulator.
VLR is for 3DS so theres that too.
You're probably best going to a store and buying it.
This game looks pretty neato - can anybody link to the English IOS version?
They cut out the Novel on the IOS version, so it is better to get it on DS.
I was listening to the Cast Audio Samples on the VLR Website (Under Cast), and I feel like the Japanese VA's suit the characters better, not sure if it is due to me owning the version with Japanese Voice Actors, or just actually think they suit them better.
I also think that Zero Sr, Zero III, Zero The Rabbit, w/e you call him, the AI Zero's voice actor (Japanese) suits him/her/it really well, it is just hard to listen to it/him/her.
Also Treatment Center's Pod Password Mini-Game is a fucking bitch, I finally got it.
i really like the english cast of vlr
mostly cus more than half of them are in persona
