English VA felt right for me. I need to try playing the whole game in Japanese one of these days though, from the sounds of it they sound pretty good too.
Phi's voice is the best. Phi in general is the best.
Quark and Tenmyouji (Or his nickname, Tenmyoldy) are my favorite Characters in VLR. I would tell you guys my favorites from 999, but damn it's basically all 9 of them. [editline]16th February 2014[/editline] Actually I can, Snake, Clover, Lotus, Seven and Ace.
ace was cool until [sp]basically the entire end of the game[/sp]
The thing about Ace is [sp] I never trusted Ace from the get go. And as it turns out my feelings were correct[/sp]
The thing about Ace is [sp] I never trusted Ace from the get go. And as it turns out my feelings were correct[/sp]
Yeah. [sp]I always knew Ace was a bad guy and Snake's (or the 2nd man's) presumed killer. Why? Because He had to make 10 to be able to push Snake or the 2nd man into that room and the best way to do that was 1-9. 2-8 didn't work, 3-7 possible but unlikely because Seven was a cop, 4-6 impossible because June/Clover wouldn't murder anyone.[/sp] Also from the answers page located on the OP. One of the author's answers is that June goes into hiding and Junpei spends the rest of his life trying to find her (lol). Oh and for anyone who wants to know what happens in 999. I watched this LP: He plays it blind, meaning he doesn't know what happens and he reads all the dialogue. I found it very entertaining except for his bad impersonations of the female voices, haha. Still a good watch. The series went very smooth as well, he chose the best order of endings to show.
I don't know what you guys think of stuff like this, but Kotaro likes it so it must be good. https://www.facebook.com/operationbluebirdze3

You should like it anyway. Its not really anime. Its a really great game with a great story. Anyone who thinks ill of you should have a bomb put in their stomach.

I am confused, *VLR End Game Spoilers* [sp]If the 22 year old Sigma (Lets call him 22 Sigma), goes to the 67 Sigma in the ABGame (I think he is 67, anyway lets call him 67 Sigma), and 67 Sigma goes to 22 Sigma, where does 22 Sigma who is set to get sent to the moon (22A Sigma) go to? It states that 22A Sigma will go back to 22 Sigma, but 67 Sigma is already in the 22 Sigma Body. If the 22A Sigma takes over 67 Sigma, where does the 67 Sigma go? Does he go back to 22 Sigma (67 Sigma original body) at the part where Akane made him jump, and the 22 Sigma goes to the part where he wakes up next to Phi, Alice and Clover in the treatment pods (22A Sigma), then the 22A gets sent back to the 22 Sigma (Who got kidnapped on the 25th)?[/sp] Sorry if it is worded badly, I got even more confused typing it up. [editline]17th February 2014[/editline] Same thing goes to Phi, god this is confusing. _Edit_ Oh god, now I am even more confused, [sp]If Kyle Klim isn't in his body, who is? Is it implied to be Sigma?[/sp] Someone please write me out a timeline, no confusing shit, just straight shit.
It's implied [sp]that it's the player that's in Kyle's body[/sp] Where does [sp]22A Sigma come from?[/sp]
[sp]Player as in, me/you? Or Player as in Sigma? Also 22A Sigma is the Sigma that gets sent back in time to earth, where Akane is young, about 22 I think, couple months after the kidnapping, and after 22A Sigma loses his Arms and Eye in the Mars base simulation[/sp] Also hopefully this will bring light to ZE3. [editline]17th February 2014[/editline] Also I kinda want to see how VLR would of been, if the higher ups didn't ask Kotaro to tone it down, apparently they did a survey on why 999 didn't sell well, mainly why people didn't buy it, Notable ones were "It's looks really gory" and "It looks scary". Not to mention I want to see how the handcuffs were originally used, in a concept picture of 999, two people are handcuffed together. Also I noticed something with 999 and VLR, even tho it wasn't as Gory as 999, they did make [sp]Akane/the people who prepared each Nonary game, even more messed up, in 999 at the end, it turned out only 1 had a bomb in them, since there was no detonator in the rest of the bracelets, dunno about Ace. But in VLR, everyone can die, each Bracelet has poison.[/sp]

Whilst 22!Sigma is in the future witnessing the Nonary Game, 67!Sigma is in the present trying to prevent the Mars Base disaster and loses his arms and eye. After the True End, 67!Sigma and 22!Sigma return to their original times, so 22!Sigma can go to the Moon and create the Moonbase where the game takes place, and become 67!Sigma, whilst gaining the knowledge he'll need to prevent the Mars Base disaster from happening. There is no 22A Sigma, only 22!Sigma and 67!Sigma.[/sp]

i want to watch a lets play of it, but every one of them just has a jackass reading the lines or saying stupid shit.
its a poor replacement for actually playing the game tbh
Well, this game taught me something, I managed to understand Bioshock Infinite's ending on my first try. Now that's incredible.
i want to watch a lets play of it, but every one of them just has a jackass reading the lines or saying stupid shit.
I assume you're talking about 999. You could download an emulator to play it but you should support the company but purchasing the game so we can have ZE3. I actually enjoyed having someone read the lines though, that way I could do something else (like grind tanks in WoT) while listening to it. Its like listening to an audio novel but being able to glance over at times to visualize the story. I found myself skipping through a lot of puzzle parts unless there were significant parts of story in it. The puzzle parts arn't fun unless you're actually doing it. Also I started playing VLR, whos ending should I go for first? I was recommended, by a friend, to go for Phi's ending last. I think I may go for Clover's ending first just because she was in the first game lol.
I have a copy sealed copy of 999 which I treasure alongside my two VLR watches. A copy of Ever17 would be great if they weren't so goddamn expensive.
gee i wish i had one of those watches they're crazy expensive now
I thought it was just the 999 watch that was expensive.
its a poor replacement for actually playing the game tbh
i dont really buy SP story driven games, maybe the second due to all the endings, but i rather just watch and read the story through the game.
Unless he's buying the Japanese version, I doubt it'd help change anything. They were in the red over there with sales which is preventing the third.
Damn, I wish they could make the game in English
They did, just import VLR from USA or any non-europe country.
Unless you mean English voice acting in which case, suck it and stick with glorious nihongo instead.
So, this happened
Time to update this thread, I guess. [editline]3rd July 2015[/editline] Done. [editline]3rd July 2015[/editline] Video also included on the OP.
Some information regarding ZE3, spoilers. http://www.dualshockers.com/2015/07/04/zero-escape-3-for-ps-vita-and-3ds-gets-first-story-details-and-artwork/ [sp]4infinity means Mars Infinity. The leaked words on the 4infinity website four months ago were just a test. Fans should disregard them. Zero Escape 3 will take place in a base where people train to go to Mars. Development just started. Fan enthusiasm encouraged reevaluation of Zero Escape 3 and allowed it to enter production. In previous games Uchikoshi-san wanted people to question common sense. In this game he wants gamers to question their own values. Puzzle creation will be done by Uchikoshi-san’s staff. Danganronpa writer Kazutaka Kodaka (who was present at the panel as well) knows the ending of Zero Escape 3 and said it is “out of this world.” It inspired him to be less lazy. He exchanges ideas with Uchikoshi-san often. Kodaka-san would like to team up with Uchikoshi-san and make a game together.[/sp] And some artwork as well in there.
