You just got the game and you're like 20x better than me. Sure I rarely play, only with friends but I'm about as bottom of the barrel as you can get.

Great turning radius, flies like a dream, and has a decent sized hitbox. It is also one of the best hitboxes for glancing shots, you can pull off some laws-of-physics breaking shots with it.

I'm struggling to decide what to use for playing this game. I'm playing on Steam and i've been using Mouse and Keyboard forever since im a PC gamer. But i played with a controller the other day hooked up to my PC and i'm not used to it at all but i've noticed it is so much more accurate and easier to do boost flying shots with the controller. I'm terrible at these flying shots with mouse and keyboard and rarely ever do them becuase i nearly always miss. But the last few times ive been using the controller, i've hit quite a few of them in the direction i was intending it to go. Has anybody else gone from keyboard & mouse to controller at all? Was it a good decision to switch? I'm very good on the ground and doing wall shots but its just flying shots i fuck up all the time.

I was playing on PC for a long time and just about a year and a half ago bought myself a controller, and play some of the games on it, and some on keyboard. Just try out playing with controller some more, it takes some time to get used to.

Controller gives a lot more fine control during aerial hits I've found.

I went from M+K to Controller after my friend - who'd always been the worse player between the two of us - all of a sudden became crazy good. He told me it's cause he started practicing with controller and I decided to follow his example. I really sucked hard for the first few hours, but when you give it a shot and don't give up, you get so much better at playing. Now when I use M+K, it feels so much more constricting than controller. I was in the same boat as you, I missed aerials so I barely tried doing them (which sucked cause in ranked, everyone and their uncle aerials), but with controller, I started hitting them more often and now I don't look back. Controller 4 lyfe

Controller 4 lyfe[/QUOTE] I must be a weird freak of nature, whenever I play a racing game with a controller, I kinda like it for a few weeks, then I go back to keyboard and do better than I could with controller, or with keyboard beforehand for that matter.

Were groundrules set where they couldn't have a goalie? Cause they were awful with the way they all bumrushed the ball and didn't work together as a team. Literally all 3 of them moshpitting with the ball. Musta felt good kicking their asses though, I'd get my ass handed to me. Your aerial hits were accurate, I'm jealous

So i scored 4 goals, my team mate scored none and had about 90 points after the match had already been running for 3 minutes and the score was 4-3. I was running along with the ball, my teammate boosted ahead and knocked it forward straight to a guy infront of him who hit it straight back towards our goal. I boosted back and saved it but unfortunately the bounce hit the wall straight infront of the enemy for a perfect goal..... My team mate goes "Why weren't you in the goal when i was with the ball?!?!" FUCK YOU MAN. FUCK. YOU.

I honestly expected that one of them would try to constantly destroy me, and at the very least that they'd have a goalie. They were all pro ranked, and you'd kinda expect better from them.

it's SO HARD to play this game when everybody is so mindnumbingly shit it's unbelievable always just seems to be the team I get, it's always me pushing hard af and those people following me, fucking up all my plays, missing easy crosses and own goaling fuck people

I couldn't tell if your previous post about using a driving wheel and joystick was sarcasm (joking), but given how srs you take this game I wouldn't be surprised protip: it's a team game. if they're all playing shit, you should be assessing what they're doing and behaving accordingly. if they're real aggressive, you should play defensively. it sucks dick when you don't get to play the role you like (I love shooting goals) but I'd rather win a round than just compete with teammates for ball control

I guess you're right, I take it pretty seriously (because I'm not half-bad and I want everybody else to be too :v: ) It's just frustrating when I'm on good form and my teammates are utterly clueless about what is going on.

when you're playing a round and you're teamed with someone you work well with, send em a steam invite or ask them if they wanna team up. it's what I do a lot of the time and then I have 10 or so good matches with someone who is in sync with my playstyle and it's great. then I'll meet someone else who I play well with when the other person is offline, so I'll add them and play with them. to save my friends list getting bogged up I usually delete people after a day or two. works well especially in 2v2 since you're almost always going up against premade teams

I see tons of Experts, Masters and Legends quit right before the match ends if they're losing. Does this cause the loss not to be counted towards your stats? Why are they doing that?

What i really don't understand is that if i play a ranked match, and my team mate does absolute dogshite getting barely any points and i do most of the goals.... I still end up losing 8-10 points and he does the same. I honestly think that if a person does the most in the game, her shouldn't lose as many. maybe about 4 or something.
