I have found the ripper controls feel a lot like the Octane actually, but I haven't played it much

I come across a popular streamer every once in a while (not that I know them, basing this just off of what other people in the game say) and nothing is ever their fault. Even if they have 0's across the board and are doing the worst on the team, they'll spout, "muh shitty team," and whatnot all over the place. I dunno man. I used to have a problem getting worked up in this game about winning/losing, making it a lot less fun. Once I learned to just relax and play to have fun, I actually started doing a lot better. If I end up on a shitty team, I don't bitch, I use it as an opportunity to work on my carrying skills. We might get destroyed, but it's good practice and I enjoy it either way. If I find myself getting mad, I just stop playing and cool off. If only everyone else did the same. I'm using the Dominus since it has the 2nd best handling but doesn't have as tiny of a hitbox as the Hotshot Also I'm sort of annoyed that the DLC cars have unique stats

Ugh. My laptop crashed while playing Rocket League, now it can't connect to the Internet for some reason. I tried downloading the game onto my desktop and now I'm lvl 1 and can't play online because it thinks I'm not logged on Steam. I don't have the DLC cars either, even though it says they're installed. :why: [B][U][I]???[/I][/U][/B] I have tried to verify the files, but that did nothing. Not sure what to do now.

Really, the main reason why I switched to the Ripper was for a change of scenery, it handles almost exactly like the Octane so I don't have to learn a new vehicle.

Takumi is the best car.

- Joined a game with a guy that called "xXx[INSERT RUDE BOY NAME HERE]xXx [CS:GO]" - I got 2 goals within the first 2 minutes. - enemy got lucky goal from kick off hit. - i saved 3 shots very close together but missed the 4th one. - score is 2:2 with 30 seconds to go. - i have scored 2 goals, saved 3, shot 5 - Teammate has yet to get over 150 points. - enemy gets goal in the last 10 seconds bouncing off me whilst i was in mid-air upside down from saving it previously. - game concludes, we say "gg" - my teammate: "GREENLEY YOU ARE SHIT OMFG L2P FFS SCORING OWN GOALS ALL THE TIME"

My favorite is when guys shoot the ball toward our own goal and then spam "What a save!" when you don't get to it in time, like it totally isn't their fault for blasting it 110kph into the goal.

who /grog/ here I'd use Gizmo or Octane for their hitbox height but the Grog looks so badass that I can't not use it

I can't make up my mind on a car anymore so I just play whichever one I feel like. It's been a lot of Octane recently because I just seem to make a better variety of plays with it. I don't know why, but I really don't care about my rating/rank in Rocket League, I could be losing 0-10 and I'll still put a best effort. It's just a game, why you haff to be mad? Just got into the game this weekend though, so if I keep playing, I may end up getting salty, but for now I just don't care.

I get bored of playing the same car over and over. My main go-to cars are Paladin, Takumi, X-Devil and then the two new DLC cars.

I used the training mode to get this nifty little move going: while driving forward, you can do a single jump with a 180 degree forward/backward flip and before you land do a 180 degree air roll and then use boost to do a very quick 180 turn to go the opposite direction. I need to make it second nature so I can actually use it in a match to switch directions quickly. It seems to be faster than doing a 180 spin or drifting.

Another trick is backflipping immediately after/as you're hitting a ball. Great for when you're trying to work a corner on someone, gets you in position to stuff their clearing attempt fast. Only hitch is, if you hit the flip too early you'll just stop right in front of the ball like an idiot.

Yeah, I tried the boost barrel roll and it just isn't as good as doing the normal turn. Tbh though when it comes to turning, drifting is and always will be the best way imho
