It seems barely anyone at all is on Are the servers dead?
Happens to me occasionally. I just exit the game and come back on and it works fine.
Is there any advantage to using the triggers for driving forwards and backwards? I instantly bound Boost and Jump to LT and RT and left Drive Forward and Drive Backward on the analog stick
XB1 Crossplatform confirmed, Rocket League specifically mentioned as being the first For all you guys who've wanted to fight against all your console brethren, the time is now.
That is very good news, pretty much ensures that the player-base of the game will never die even if one platform stops playing, you will always find people to play with.
I simply love this game! Great graphics and one of the best soccer-action games I have witnessed till date!
Anyone else have problems with insane lag and network-stutter in 4-player split screen? I had 3 friends over and we tried to play it online but it was like we had the ping of 500+ even though the scoreboard never showed anything above 60. The fps was over 60 all the time (not unlocked) and the game ran fine offline. Just insane lag and stutter after like 5 seconds of normal gameplay at the start. Is it a bug or is 100mpbs down and 10mbps up just not enough for 4-player online splitscreen?

Why did the ball shoot up a bit before going in the goal? Is it because of the orange car barely touching it? [editline]25 march 2016[/editline] Got challenger 2 one match after this :toot:. Now onto the blue ranks! [editline]25 march 2016[/editline] Got destroyed 5-1 first match in this rank. Such is life [vid]https://a.pomf.cat/aozjzi.webm[/vid]

I play this a tonne with my brother on his Xbone, it's great fun. Watching the webm's in this thread has made me re-evaluate my claim to be "pretty good at Rocket League", I didn't know you could use your boost to fly?

Just look up any aerial tutorial, or watch this. Keep in mind it's normal to miss all aerials at first, but keep at it. An easy way to start is to go for balls that aren't too high (at most, double jump height): instead of waiting for it to fall, try to hit it out of the air, preferably towards the enemy's side. I'm not sure if this video mentions it, but you have a ~2 second window where you can dodge after jumping once. Keep that in mind, it's useful with aerials. Jesus christ you guys I thought this game was about cars not flying dinghys.

Since you haven't unlocked the game, I guess you should try turning vsync on or forcing the game to only go at 60 via nvidia or something.

I'm peaking at All-star division 2/3, highest I've made it was division 4. Every time I get on a small win streak I get slammed by matchmaking pitting me with the same people over and over so I drop divisions again. I wouldn't mind playing with the same people but at least switching the teams up would be nice.

It's pretty much up to oneself to win. This is especially true in solo standard. I'm not saying it's wise to hog the ball but taking extra precautions and having a backup plan is good. Keep at it!

Keep at it!
I agree with you when it comes to solo standard because consistent losing there means there's something wrong with your teamwork. But duos just screws you over because if you get a bad teammate at a higher rank there usually aren't enough people so it'll queue you multiple times causing a lose streak. For example I got paired with a guy who I went 1-9 with twice even though I beat that team with a separate person previously as the MVP.
LF team, i am the second coming of kronovi

I've somehow managed to make it all the way to Superstar Div3. I think the key to it for me is I stop playing for a bit if I lose two in a row and come back to it later. Was almost two full ranks below where I am now yesterday. Now I'm at the highest I've been so far since season 2 started. Going to shoot for champion tomorrow.
https://www.reddit.com/r/RocketLeague/comments/4dvcym/issue_using_a_ps4_controller_puts_you_at_a/ Using a DS3 now puts you at an advantage, as you can rotate more in the air. Some of the comments said that the DS3 input acted more like a square instead of a circle like the DS4 and Xbox controllers, so I tested it out by using my Steam Controller So now, the Steam Controller and the DS3 have the advantage over other controllers. The Steam Controller is now the best controller to use for Rocket League in my opinion, as it has grip buttons on the back like the Xbox One Elite Controller, dual stage triggers and customizability. So, if you have a DS3 or Steam Controller it would be best for you to use those.
The devs will probably fix that shortly, so don't get too used to it.
It's not a huge enough difference to get people a super advantage but yeah they need to fix it anyways

Are there any EU people that are Champion or higher or Superstar interested in playing some 2v2s? I don't have any friends at a higher level. I'd don't really care too much about my rank, I want to play to improve. I am Champion. [vid]http://webm.land/media/mR5P.webm[/vid]

Yesterday I managed to hit an arial (I jumped off a wall and flipped about and bicycle kicked the ball into the goal) and I felt like Jesus Christ. Semi Pro for ever.
