I'm always glad when people learn to have fun and not ragequit an unranked match just because of we're 2 points behind, or in this case 4. I was digging this mode before this match but man this was had me on the edge of my seat in a new way from overtime in regular mode (mostly because i suck at aerials).
So does hoops mode work with bots?

Yeah but they seem to try wrap the ball along the walls rather than going for aerials, at least at pro level.
my friends say that hoops mode isn't fun because the hoop is too big and dont understand that the whole mode focuses on aerials

In my opinion it's way more fun to play with 4v4 All-Star bots than real people because they center the ball more often than real people so that you can aerial it
For example: The aerial goal was done in a 3v3 bot match

The save was with real people but the goal was in a bot match
You can tell because I accidentally turned the names on for the goal
1st time online and i already fucked up so fast by missing the ball above me while dashing

I used Nvidia's DSR in the picture so that's why it's at 4k

Fix your camera, I could be wrong, but you might be missing because you're unable to judge the balls position correctly and you might be unable to judge the balls position correctly because of your camera.
Lachino's setttings are good if you want a place to start:

I found that Lachinio's settings with the stiffness and swivel speed turned up and the angle a little higher was good for me. The default camera settings are also a good starting point.

gosh those cam settings make me vom. if the camera isn't right behind your car's ass, it's next to impossible to properly gauge how to hit the ball in the air.
PS: 4v4 is cancer and you should play 3v3 instead.
2v2 is best, imo
2v2 and 1v1 are the games that need the most skill. 3v3 you've got two people instead of one watching your back, so mistakes aren't the end of the world. 2v2 / 1v1 is a lot more punishing if you mess up.

I love playing 2v2 split screen online. Played it for like, 4 hours straight with a friend a couple nights back. What an awesome time.

And make sure to go into the Steam settings and check the box under "in-game" that says "Save an uncompressed copy"

Rocket League is only becoming fun when I do it with friends, how do I shake it up when I play solo?
Bought it on sale and just started playing.
Scored my first goal in the dying seconds of a match to give our team a comeback win, in a match where I had own-goaled at the start.
Felt more satisfying than anything I've done in a game in a long time.
