i love the squeaky wheels on the court sound so much
is it possible to convert my replays into something i can cut and edit on like windows movie maker? typing a new file extension doesn't seem to do it, and i don't have fraps or anything like that to record in-game. this game definitely needs an upload feature like superhot has.

Why not try OBS?
If you have an nvidia gfx card, there's shadowplay which I find very good. Otherwise, OBS is your best bet.
Keep in mind that demos/replays of games (in general, not just rocket league) aren't movie files themselves, but files with data that helps the game replicate the match, so you can't really view them with other applications.

Note: Shadowplay requires an GeForce GTX 600 series graphics card or higher.
yeah i'm on a laptop, and my card is a 560, so no shadowplay for me.
that being said, i installed obs. i also have no idea what i'm doing, is there a way to run it while ingame from ingame, like fraps, or do i have to press "start recording" and then go ingame and then tab out and press "stop recording."

go to the setting tab and play around with the keybinds, you should probably set the bitrate to about 4-5k depending on your resolution.

Didn't get to play in the tournament because the website shit the bed and it was all delayed multiple hours. Huge bummer. Pretty much everyone who took a specific period of time off/made a window got ultra fucked because despite knowing how many people were going to be using it, they decided to host the website on a Commodore 64.

It's probably a side effect of them optimising the game for the PS4.
