I don't have the game (just watching some of the videos) so I wouldn't know, but in some games it'll count as a loss or over time you'll be marked as a quitter if you quit a match. Is there a system like that in place in this game?

Cheapest I found was $19. The game just released though so they probably don't have any cheap keys in stock.
Usually resellers stock up during sales and I don't think Rocket League has had one yet.

On topic, I really did think this game was youtube bait, but hell if I haven't spent so many useless hours I could have spent on adult things, imagine.
I wasn't sure if I would like this because I don't like football but oh my god it's crazy fun. I'm getting pretty good at it too so I'm enjoying it more because I'm kicking ass.
Some people really annoy me though, aka, those who feel the need to kick the ball just for the sake of kicking it, even if it means kicking it into our frigging goal.

Only on the menu!
They play some in game but you need to turn up the volume a ton, it has a filter over it as if someone in the crowd is playing it on their phone. It's that quiet.
Also depends on the map.
A teammate bailed on me early in a ranked match so these two other guys took pity and invited me into their team after I lost 2-5
We fucking steamrolled 3 matches like it was nothing

That's probably the #1 complaint I have with the game. TBH they need to do it similar to the way LoL handles their matches
If you don't come back in to rejoin the match then you get counted as a loss and are locked out from playing ranked again for a certain amount of time. I've lost count of the number of matches I've lost because a teammate bailed and I had to play 1v2.

Only with friends at the moment.
Hitting opponents is a valid strategy. I just played a game where I demolished the goalie, which let my team score a win in overtime. And earlier, I intentionally hit an opponent, ruining what would have been a goal shot.

It's one of the most solid strategies for defense. It has saved my ass so many times in solo duel. There's plenty of moments where you're not going to get to the net to block their shot, so you have to prevent the shot from happening altogether.

At high enough speed just bumping into an enemy causes them to spin out of control and lose momentum. Sometimes I dedicate myself to just bumping opponents at their own goal so someone else can score without interruptions or blocking.

GODDAMNIT yesterday I was in a match where we were winning 9-0. I myself scored at least 3 times. The match was fucking amazing, and I thought to myself "I NEED a replay of that"
Then at the exact second the match ends, the game CTDs.

I'm not really hating on it, there's nothing terribly wrong with the tips. I just feel like all of them are a bit useless because you would pick them up yourself very fast through common sense.
It doesn't really take much observation to realize that you should angle toward the ball before you fly at it and who knew you could steer in mid air if needed? Genius.
The video was pretty well made, I just don't like the premise.

The first tip to not boost before you jump has helped me in my last few games. Of course I would have realized sooner or later because it's obvious now, but hearing the tip has saved me from learning the long way.
I got back up to a .7 win ratio in ranked, feels pretty good. I went down to .53 but never below 5. I'm looking for some people to play with though because pubbies are so unreliable.
Also they should give you a fucking penalty for elaving a ranked match mid-game

They should also make ranked games not start unless everyone has joined. I've had ranked games start on me without a full team.

That's odd, I've never been able to play a game until all players connected. You must have had people quitting right off the bat.
