I really want to learn how to rotate during aerial shots to use the roof of my car / top of my nose to make shots like that, but I have no idea how to even start learning. My brain can't handle the aerial maneuvering on top of the rotating shit. I just end up getting really confused and fucking up. Any advice?
If you are still relatively new to playing you should probably rebind your air roll button to something like LB/L1 (assuming you are using a controller). I am too used to it sharing the same button as handbrake meaning I either have to accept not being able to boost and spin, or I'd have to spent hours relearning muscle memory. Disclaimer: I can't do good aerials either but the above is advice I've seen from good youtubers.
I'm one rank below Champion in 2v2 and I've been playing since RL first ever came out. Rebinding would fuck me up big time, I think, but I'll give it a go. I can aerial like a champ but I'm always so boring and level, I wanna learn how to spin. It gives you way more opportunities to score.
I might try that, even though I've been playing since SARPBC first came out :v: Gonna be hard to mentally rewire.

Then obviously practise it a bit in free play or whatever so you can deliver at least a half spin on demand without any set up. Then in game, if you want a certain angle you can use the half spin to get close to the angle you want, and then adjust a little. Learning which part of the car to use for certain angles and such is mostly practice. You'll make a shot that is perfect and go "ah so that's the angle". At least this is how I learned to do it. [editline]18th July 2016[/editline] That said, the freestyle part of the spin is really unnecessary. Learning which way the car rotates and how it reacts in the air is by far more useful than learning a certain spin.
The new cars are available for purchase on steam now! http://store.steampowered.com/app/457198/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/457195/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/457197/ http://store.steampowered.com/app/457196/
aw shit, almost 2 quid for each car. I miss my 3.99 DLC deals they did
No gf + job = a lot of unspent money.
Really wish the game incorporated a "try before you buy" sort of deal, the show room already shows you just about everything about the cars except the handling, and there's no real way to know if you're gonna like it until you've tried it.

I'd say this is quite accurate. Edit: edited out opinions about cars
Marauder doesn't suck m8
Aftershock sounds like a jet plane holy shit [editline]woosh[/editline]
aw shit, almost 2 quid for each car. I miss my 3.99 DLC deals they did
You basically paying the same price but you dont get hats or boosters
can you unlock new rare decals and shit for the new cars or no?
i don't think so, they already came with a bunch of stuff unlocked for me.
Marauder doesn't suck m8
You are right, I must (sadly) retract my statement about the Marauder sucking. It appears it is in fact slightly better than the Octane in every stat, except powerslide which is unknown. It feels different/odd though and sounds like shit.
I'm quoting Psyonis_Corey's comment from a discussion about the spreadsheet that displays hitboxes and turning radii.
The only caveat I'd put on your turning radius methodology is that "turning radius after 2-3 seconds" isn't always a relevant metric. It's a useful data point, I suppose, but you can do a full 360 turn in about 2 seconds. Some cars, due to wheel positions and sizes, can have a tighter initial turn radius than another but still have a lower "value" in your spreadsheet. A specific example is in comparing Merc and Octane. Octane has a tighter initial turn from standstill, which Merc ultimately overtakes after your 2+ second window. How many gameplay situations is holding a single turn for 2+ second relevant, and should cars be ranked as such? I personally would always choose the Octane in that scenario because that sub 2 second turn handling is more important to me. I would just caution the community in general against reading too much into some of these numbers - you can superimpose some of these cars on top of eachother doing 360 turns and the difference is literally indistinguishable, despite the color shading of the spreadsheet making it seem pretty significant.
It's not really in response to anything but he has a good point and it serves as a reminder that all cars are still viable options. [editline]20th July 2016[/editline] Oh no my merge
Do the cars have any differences other than the looks? I remember back where people claimed that some cars had bigger hitboxes or handled slightly different, but the devs always declined such claims.
Do the cars have any differences other than the looks? When did a dev ever decline that?
No, they definitely have handling and hitbox differences. When did a dev ever decline that?
Back when the game was released. Like a month later users claimed that there were differences between them, but the devs said "nah, they are all the same, they just look different"
Back when the game was released. Like a month later users claimed that there were differences between them, but the devs said "nah, they are all the same, they just look different"
Maybe they meant there weren't any differences in things like acceleration and top speed, because there are definitely (significant) differences in hitbox.
Back when the game was released. Like a month later users claimed that there were differences between them, but the devs said "nah, they are all the same, they just look different"
Hitboxes and turning speeds are different. I don't think the devs ever claimed otherwise, because they didn't put that in accidentally.
Damn, i thought all the cars were completely the same, and the differences were only visual
WRONG. Marauder is great. New favorite car.
Masamune is my new fav.
I like the rocket one With flamethrower turbo it looks even cooler.
I play this game too much. Hit 500+ hours this week.
Also got called a smurf in 1v1 which is pretty nice
I don't really get how/why people complain about smurfing. There really isn't that much benefit from making a new account and having MMR start at 0 again since MMR reset completely at the beginning of this season anyways. Even if you were a super champion or something, you'd destroy people for a minute and then end up playing against evenly matched opponents eventually. Ranked player level smurfing is completely meaningless because it matches based on MMR and nothing else. Unranked seems like it matches people up based more on win percentage than rank, I tested this by deleting my local saves and stuff resetting me to rookie and sure enough I still get matched up with legends and very commonly season 2 grand champs in casual despite it. I got matched up with low level players for the first few games, but my win % quickly went up and bam I'm with the people I should be playing with in fewer than 15 games. Somehow I managed to break my shit though because I am stuck at rookie level. I leave it on for laughs, it's funny how many people cry smurfing in ranked matches when player level means absolutely nothing in ranked matchmaking. It's a great jimmies rustling device though.

I did a thing
We got matched against 3 people who were way, WAY over our skill level and forfeited after 5 goals in the first minute. Competitive, naturally. Next match is the same 3 people, we got owned again. :frown: WOO! Prospect elite, I'm here to stay!
