I've played a 2v2 match today and I didn't get the kickoff quite right (still touched it though) and my mate tried to forfeit, stopped playing and then wrote in chat that I tried to forfeit and I would troll. I called him out and told him he should get a grip. The guy went completely insane by that point, said that psyonix should fix ranking and that he just wants a mate in his league. Competitive games have so many creepy people lol

You guys were right. Jumped into a few matches and had an absolute blast. Hit a few handy goals too which makes you feel awesome! One game I accidentally conceded a goal and to make up for it I scored the next couple. I felt better. This talk of keys, sorry to hear you got scammed - but are the keys a similar prospect to TF2/CSGO?

Honestly, it's a vicious circle. You'll play matches with randoms who are absolutely [i]terrible[/i] fairly regularly, which will get you into a mindset of, "If you want it done right, do it yourself." Then you'll enter a game on the team of someone just like you, who has had to carry their team regularly, and you will end up fighting over the ball with that person. When playing with randoms, you pretty much have to gauge how they are in the first minute of play. Sit back, let them work, only hit shit that's obviously yours. If they're competent, position for passes and whatnot, if they aren't, either rush the ball all the time and try to carry (if they constantly whiff and cannot be trusted) or force yourself to play patient and wait for stray shots/saves to fire back at the goal (if they refuse to stop ball chasing). You might get a game here or there where you click and there's rotation, but the only way to actually guarantee it to some degree is play with friends you can trust.

Yeah I think you're absolutely spot on, particularly about getting into the habit of taking things into my own hands when maybe I shouldn't. And don't get me wrong, I'm still a noob myself and I'm still getting the hang of moving myself around properly, but some people are just baffling.

I submitted a ticket to psyonix support and so far they're like 'lol tough shit, you got 13 random garbage for your 10 keys so the trade was legit'.

This was the best response psyonix support could come up with after 5 emails and 2 responses from 2 different "support" people. [t]http://i.imgur.com/b0HbdY7.png[/t] I've bought all the dlc and bought a lot of keys but i'm done supporting pysonix and won't be spending a cent more on RL. This should have been an open and shut case with the other person admitting and bragging about the scam but i guess pysonix is afraid of hurting their feelings.

Like I'm sorry it happened and it sucks that it did, but it's not that he broke any rules doing this, you just weren't paying attention. Yeah it's a scumbag thing to do, but that's why there's a confirm button so you can review the trade before you agree to it. There is literally nothing anybody else could have done to prevent this.

If the cases were on the steam market they would have dropped like a rock. I also don't seem to be interested in the shiny stuff like the universal decals I only want to have that showcase button no longer be orange.
