True but there are barely any world class gamers that age in other games. I can't think of any off the top of my head anyway.

I love pulling off a 2v3, I did one recently and managed to record most of it but never uploaded it. They are always ridiculously tense .
The new DLC cars look like utter shite. What were they thinking? Hot Wheels cars are pretty lame.
Some people seem to be liking them, I'm indifferent.
I genuinely feel bad for people who play the Xbox version of RL and think that's how the game plays. I can't tell if it's just a combination of Xbox having terrible servers, or them being overloaded due to the free weekend, but the hit reg and lag compensation is fucking terrible on the console version. I'm not typically the type to shill for the ~master race~ at every opportunity, but this is definitely one case where I am so fucking glad I bought the PC copy and not the console one because the game just runs so much better.

I thought it was gonna be rad, like we'd have some awesome real life model cars to play with in-game, and then special Rocket League variants of actual Hot Wheels cars to collect. I didn't know they were just going to invent a couple designs and call them Hot Wheels cars.
Idk about the X1 version, but I sometimes play on the PS4 and I do equally well on it.
I mean sure, it's solid 60FPS instead of 120, but it doesn't really appear to matter much.
Yeah, I've got a friend with a PS4 and it runs pretty good. A hell of a lot better than the Xbox, anyway.

oh shit son looks like i got owned. i didn't really play with hot wheels after like 2002 so that's probably why i didn't recognize them at first

I wish this thread was less dead, RL is one of my favorite games
Rocket League really is great but there isn't a whole lot to talk about all the time. The competitive scene isn't really that big/popular at the moment and unlike other big multiplayer titles the game shares a huge amount of it's playerbase with console players who I guess don't hang around on forums like fp. So that just leaves a few comments outside of people discussing updates and posting their [del]shit[/del] awesome goals haha. There also isn't a huge amount of discussion of meta/strategy compared to other big mp titles as well..
The ball becomes more powerful the more times it's hit in the air without touching the ground, so this gamemode requires teamwork and good aerials I guess. Looks good.

Allstar > Silver II. Placements were a hell of a challenge. Guess the 'soft reset' was a lot more violent than I imagined it to be.
Yeah, I was all-star and got put in Gold 1 despite winning 8 out of the 10 placements, and most games had at least one season 3 grand champ thrown into the mix.
Which doesn't really make sense, my first game of Gold 1 was miserable since my teammate seemed like he barely had a grasp on aerials and scored multiple accidental self-goals. Then I guess the servers went down because I couldn't find any games after over 10 minutes of queuing.
I wish they would make some harsher punishments against griefers and insulting people.
the new dropshot gamemode was god damn made for me, now my ridiculous aerials I would never do in a real match actually do something.
