Found a dead science team with one CBM, and now found a whole wreckage a few metres away, both of them with all this. Of course there are some spiders in the way, but it's [b]right[/b] next to an evac shelter, so I might consider making a character who specialises in CBMs to see what I can do.

Technically yes, but you have to have at least part of it outside. You need 1 flashlight, at least 1 steel frames, 1 car battery of some sort and 1 vehicle controls. The idea is to make a 'vehicle' out of however many frames you need. If you want it inside, you'll need more frames. Either way, you'll need the car battery to 'power' the lights and the controls to turn them on. There are other things you can make or find that can be similarly used for infinite charges for some tools, but you'll need to use a storage battery and solar panel for the most efficiency.

That is, if you can find that damn welder. Makeshift one doesn't work. Any tips on where to find it?

Garages almost always have one. They might've tweaked the loot tables a bit in 0.9, but in 0.8 I frequently found 2-3 per garage.

I believe you need a funnel to get rainwater, but I don't know what exactly do you do to collect it.

Currently this is how I'm getting my drinking water, you drop a container that can hold liquid on the ground outside and then you activate the funnel, which asks you where you want to place it. Stick it on the container and you're golden.

I collect rain water in a Steel Jerrycan and every time it rains proper it fills right up.
I'd imagine if you had enough Funnels/Jerrycans you could live off that alone, for a while.

Careful though, it collects acid too.

Yeah. Find some funnel and activate them like traps outside. Then put containers under them. When it rains, it'll fill them.

If you use the 'd' command from the map and not the inventory, it's multi-drop.

Military bunkers don't have any beds, but if you can get in they're entirely underground except a basic entrance. I mostly don't use anything except things with beds personally, but that's just a choice.

Vehicle wise, having an electric car for common mundane shit is best, but gas powered vehicles have the benefit of usually being faster/more powerful.

Can anyone tell me how a C4 explosive works?

I tried blowing up a fungal spire. After planting the bomb I could use a number ranging from 0-9, didn't tell me what those numbers meant. Pick 5, guessing it was minutes.

I take one step and I blew up. Good bye half year play through.

Its ticks / turns, if you have really bad movespeed you should use high numbers.

A -1 bonus removes 1 from the recoil rating. The lower the recoil the better.

I've met a few, but NPCs are glitchy as fuck right now so you're probably not going to either get them or get them to teach you before your game crashes. Or they just decide to attack you.

I did the same thing, except my character threw it at the horde and only managed to chuck it two tiles. I moved one tile and it killed everything in the room except me, kevlar and an army helmet saved my behind.

And does a woodstove not generate warmth? I've got a fire going in my cabin but I can't warm up.
