How the frig to I pick-up water, anyhow?
Examine it.
It just says "You can't pick up a liquid!"
It just says "You can't pick up a liquid!"
That's odd, when I do it, it asks for a container to put it in. What version are you using?
0.A like everybody. I was able to pick some up earlier when it was in a toilet. I'm trying to pick it off the ground.
You can't pick liquids up off the ground at all, out of the toilet was gathering it. It was in a receptacle.
Ah. Will the puddle ever go away?
Oh yeah, that makes sense. You can use a mop on it I think to get rid of it.
If you want it gone, you can use a mop. Aside from that, I'm not sure. I think eventually with enough time off screen?
Damn, thought finding an APC would be amazing! What better? Well driving a fucking schoolbus without being able to see behind you is very difficult, I was barely able to get it across town, only crashed and ejected myself out of the windshield once, let alone use it as my vehicle. Not to mention I had to replace the seat (not so bad) which meant I had to get mechanics to 2, then I had to get a wrench, and finally had to find a hacksaw as well.
Just realized I've been fighting the same zombear for a couple days in a row because I keep forgetting to butcher it. [editline]18th March 2014[/editline] It's been doing a good job training my melee and unarmed combat though.
God damn the animals are so schizophrenic in this game. They keep switching between hostile, ignoring, tracking and fleeing without any of my input sometimes. A bear just broke into my house and then started fleeing when I tried to lure it out with my flashlight. A cougar attacked me when I was building a wall but started fleeing when I tried to react. What the hell is going on? Plus, some animals get stuck in tracking mode and don't switch to hostile even when I attack them. Is my game bugged or what?
so you've been fighting an undead bear with your... bare hands? sorry.
krav maga + black belt start so good. Edit: Though I didn't start taking on things like zombears without fully reinforced clothing protecting everything.

Believe it or not, I found driving shit like that can be worth it depending on how you modify it.
Day 15 and I'm just now finding the hacksaw I need, when I was out looking for the materials to make the materials to make one.
Day 15 and I'm just now finding the hacksaw I need, when I was out looking for the materials to make the materials to make one.
Get integrated toolset asap. It makes life so much easier.
Get integrated toolset asap. It makes life so much easier.
It's easy to say that, but it took my old character somewhere around 90 days to find one. And believe me, I was scouring the fuck out of anywhere that could've had one. For hacksaws and other car repair parts, garages are the best choice, followed by hardware stores. Also make sure to take more than 1 welder if you find one, because a welding rig, solar panel, and storage battery all stacked onto a shopping cart's frame and casters will save you a ridiculous amount of batteries.

Seemed too essential not to have, especially since I want to make a house using the vehicle mechanics. [editline]19th March 2014[/editline] Oh neat, I don't even have to make a welding rig, there's one already in this garage.
The issue with using a vehicle as a 'house' is limited storage capacity in containers. Which isn't really a big deal to be honest since you can just drop shit on the floor, but I've gotten to where I have to sort the fuck out of everything I bring back and frequently end up with hundreds of items on one tile.
Yeah but since corpse decay isn't in yet you'll end up with a shit load of corpses everywhere. Better keep track of where the thing you're hunting is, because otherwise you'll be running around butchering everything. Also they added in variable rot times based on temperature, to the point where cooked meat won't last a full day in Summer.
What methods of refrigeration exists? I haven't figured out a way to make fridges yet.
When it comes to vehicle damage, what color means what? Edit: Nevermind, I just remembered the wiki has that info.

V8 + V8 + V8 + V8 Im looking for the holy grail aka the V12 engine
I like how for wheels it doesn't give you a count, it's just like, "Yeah, I'm sure you can drive it."
I just died in a pretty shit way. Had a kinda good character going, living outside of town in a Lab. Went into a forest a bit to pick up a gallon jug I dropped earlier, when out of nowhere a cougar jumps in my face. I quickly kill it with my bow but started bleeding so intensely from my torso that I was dead within ten tiles. I think that cougar knew the Five-Point-Palm-Exploding-Heart-Technique
What methods of refrigeration exists? I haven't figured out a way to make fridges yet.
I think you can make - or find - mini-fridges for vehicles, but I have yet to see any. Refrigerators can't be constructed at all to my knowledge, bar map editing via the debug menu. Refrigerators actually only just now started to actually function at all in 0.A, before then they were just something to disassemble. Or for people like me, where you stored perishable food anywhere because it made sense.
Got my mechanics to 22 right now so that means 5 V8's Didn't even realise i went past 5k kills already Currently my quest is to go from town to town and load up on ammo i find in gun shops and search garages for the Holy V12 Engine Grail
I think you can make - or find - mini-fridges for vehicles, but I have yet to see any. It sucks that engines have diminishing returns. Battlewagons are clearly BETTER with more engines! Then again, I've not actually got around to making my vehicles yet, I tend to just rob what I can find.
