I love to murder. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/c8LydT7.png[/img_thumb]
Why is it that some (normal) zombies die in two to three hits from a sledgehammer but I just hit one zombie like 25 times with the same sledgehammer and it still killed me :|
Sledge hammer takes A LONG time to swing, and if you got hurt (PAIN) in the past fights without getting it down it takes LONGER to swing, aka zombies get more hits off while you get one off the greater pain you are in. I prefer fast weapons, figured out machete is better than nailbat but nailbat has stun so eeeeh cant decide
To Serve Man. It's... It's a cookbook!
That book is a giant dick for completionists. The morale hit keeps you from reading it more than once every so often, making a it a bitch to get the recipes.
It's now SUMMER in my world! Hooray, I made it past the first season! Currently, I'm residing within a public works, which had a V8 engine that I put into my car (the V6 wasn't that great and I realised I don't care about being fuel friendly anymore), although when I go up to about 150mph I can lose control several times per turn so I'll have to wait for my driving skill to go up some more before I try that. Got plenty of food and there's usually a bunch of creatures wandering around outside that I can kill and eat. Not sure how zombies keep finding their way over to me, I've probably killed about 20 and piled them up outside. My character is rather overpowered at the moment, I got lucky with radiation early and found myself having quite a few nice mutations with very little poor ones. I also found and installed lots of bionics as I went along, and after EVENTUALLY getting the one that lets you recover power by moving around managed to fill my power supply up - meaning I can actually use these things. My base is a bit rubbish and I'm trying to fix the windows but it appears I need to level up my construction skill and that is difficult as the things I want to build require greater construction skill. Very annoying. Will probably just experiment for a while and see what happens!
You'd think after gunning down a schoolbus worth of zombie children trying to eat your face off you'd kind of get desensitized to it and not take such a massive morale hit.
You'd think after gunning down a schoolbus worth of zombie children trying to eat your face off you'd kind of get desensitized to it and not take such a massive morale hit.
But all the candy they dropped is enough to keep you high for a month.
You'd think after gunning down a schoolbus worth of zombie children trying to eat your face off you'd kind of get desensitized to it and not take such a massive morale hit.
I think you do eventually. I don't get as great a morale hit anymore, mabe -3 or -4 per one killed when I know for sure it was much more than that before.
I think you do eventually. I don't get as great a morale hit anymore, mabe -3 or -4 per one killed when I know for sure it was much more than that before.
Well I think it was -4 from me from the start, but a horde of like 10+ of them came up on a trip into town.
Well I think it was -4 from me from the start, but a horde of like 10+ of them came up on a trip into town.
Wait, there are traveling hoardes now?
You'd think after gunning down a schoolbus worth of zombie children trying to eat your face off you'd kind of get desensitized to it and not take such a massive morale hit.
"Shit I better listen to some music for 10 minutes" [editline]27th April 2014[/editline]
Wait, there are traveling hoardes now?
Probably a playground nearby
Brat bologna and Mannwurst. Nice...
I actually cringed when I saw [sp]bobburger[/sp] because [sp]while yes, Bob is a common name and all, it could be in a weird way referencing the animated series Bob's Burgers, which the first episode revolved around someone spreading a (false, of course)rumor that they cook human flesh[/sp] EDIT:
You'd think after gunning down a schoolbus worth of zombie children trying to eat your face off you'd kind of get desensitized to it and not take such a massive morale hit.
To make it in the Cataclysm, sometimes ya gotta be a Psychopath. The world's gone nuts, you gotta be even more nuts. [sp] If you didn't get it, next time you make a character take the Psychopath trait and say bye bye to the morale hit for killing zombie children[/sp].
Wait, there are traveling hoardes now?
Funny you should ask that. They're in the experimental. [editline]27th April 2014[/editline]
I think you do eventually. I don't get as great a morale hit anymore, mabe -3 or -4 per one killed when I know for sure it was much more than that before.
It starts at like -15 and slowly decreases the more you kill. Eventually you become desensitized to it and don't care. The desensitization doesn't go away; if you don't kill any child zombies for a month you'll still have the same level of not giving a fuck as you used to.
*Mouth foams*
Why does it say "bla bla CBM" instead of "CBM: bla bla" for you?
Funny you should ask that. They're in the experimental.
Traveling hoardes seems like they'd compliment static spawn fairly well. Shakes things up periodically and keeps empty towns from becoming too boring. Also on an unrelated note does anyone have a decent guide to understanding vehicles (both building and driving). It's probably the few areas of the game I don't have a strong grasp on and I'd like to start hauling all the mutagen and bionics I've been pilfering from labs using some of the still functioning cars I've found, but I don't want to accidentally plow head first into a tree or wall or something.
Easiest way to get the hang of it is to take one out driving in a field going about 20-30 MPH and just work on your timing for avoiding bushes/wildlife and learning what takes a turn and what doesn't. Essentially your most used key will be the wait key, as that passes a turn and lets the car continue its momentum.
Why does it say "bla bla CBM" instead of "CBM: bla bla" for you?
Newest experimental.
'Guilty about killing' is giving me a +5 to morale lol
'Guilty about killing' is giving me a +5 to morale lol
Wot did you kill
'Guilty about killing' is giving me a +5 to morale lol
I guess you could call it a guilty pleasure then.
Traveling hordes are a nightmare for newborn players. After the game started to get a little easy for me in 0.A builds, I died twice on the first day. It certainly makes trying to carve out your first area to start looting houses a bit of a... challenge, really.
Funny you should ask that. They're in the experimental. [editline]27th April 2014[/editline] .
The ones in experimental seem pretty broken though. Or am I supposed to fight 50+ zombies while they spawn literally within my vision, in the middle of nowhere right infornt of my evac shelter, on day 1? I wouldn't call that hoardes. Just areas where zombies spawn around you constantly. [editline]28th April 2014[/editline]
Traveling hordes are a nightmare for newborn players. So me and my vehicle learned that there are landmines in this game. [editline]28th April 2014[/editline] I thought it was some kind of rocket launching enemy off screen since you don't seem to get the landmine message when you're in the vehicle. I steered it to 'safety' (something on it was disabled and it took forever to stop), hopped out and onto the back, grabbed my M72s all gung ho prepared to fight whatever did this, and wandered into a minefield.
Gotta love the caffeine pills + irish coffee + cigar + energy drink combination. Getting int to 21 without any drawbacks.
I take back what I said about pet dogs in this game. I don't know if it's the experimental version that got the 'docile' mode to work but I can pretty much get my dog to attack and heel consistently. I can't wait to get a pack of dogs and go running through a city. Cats, however, are still useless shits.
What do end of mutation tracks mutations do? Like Bird, Raptor, Beast etc. They have strange descriptions and somehow reaching bird broke my game.
Gotta love the caffeine pills + irish coffee + cigar + energy drink combination. Getting int to 21 without any drawbacks.
And then pop some of dat sweet sweet Adderall.
And then pop some of dat sweet sweet Adderall.
Then add some meth and use your super high intelligence to invent a new stimulator, inject it, invent a stronger stimulator, inject it... etc
Then add some meth and use your super high intelligence to invent a new stimulator, inject it, invent a stronger stimulator, inject it... etc
Just like Morrowind. Broke alchemy so hard it's not been the same since.
Man, survival mode gets to be fucking bonkers. [t]http://imgkk.com/i/zbat.png[/t]

Then it spent like 5 game days in a dodge match against a snake. Poor little fella finally bit it after 3 game weeks due to acid rain.
