What's the difference between that and classic zombies?
Anyway I kinda feel like it's cheating, but it's practically insane - even with dynamic spawns. It's also true that I use very little points on my stat, maybe it's caused by that? I don't like using 'free traits' like ugly or truth teller.
Static spawns are usually the best bet for long term games. The main thing you have to do is go slow and be careful with what you actually fight. And when you do fight, don't fight fair - abuse broken/empty windows, bushes, line of sight, etc.. Make them walk over those to spend extra time, and smack them when they're stuck on the rough terrain. Parkour Expert and Quick help with windows.
Is it true smaller caliber guns give off more quiet sounds with a suppressor? I never paid attention to the sound meter or use guns unless it's an emergency.
.22 with a silencer will make basically no noise
Fuck I saw marlins and the other .22 rifle and now I have to drive around town to get it again :v:
And wow I ran into an anti-material rifle turret, and the second it burst me it literally shredded the beetle in front of me. Like 3x3 frames all turned to scrap.
Well that is kind of the purpose of an Anti Material Turret. :v:
(Sorry, rereading that back I sound like a bit of a sarcastic git)
Man, I noticed you could build foldable frames and got my hopes up for custom portable vehicles...
Seems it is rather restricted to what you can make, i.e. that one portable bike.

Just don't go to town during day. In fact you are supposed to never do it unless it's an emergency or you are a walking tank and can kill anything.
Also don't use Mundane zombies mod. It removes many locations: bee hives, labs (!!!), mines and many more.

I do all of my work during the day and I generally don't have many problems after a few days. Assuming I don't get cocky and think I'm immune to skeletal dogs like that one character.
After my encounter with the sniper turrets I've taken to scout around at night, and clear zombies out by day when I'm certain it's (relatively) safe.
Still have to be careful for those dangerous mobs that don't glow in the dark though.
If you manage to survive the first 2 weeks and not encounter tankbots before you have a car, games turns pretty easy, otherwise its LIVING HELL.
Anyway i love hoarding all the guns and ammo i can find. Got 2 trunks (1k cargo ones) for guns and ammo.
I'm currently on year 4, refusing to touch mutations and just keep goin' round to find stuff.
Also FUCK absolute zero cold bottom level of labs. Thank god i have full heavy survivor armor and take 0 dmg from the bots that shoot you and bio operators there....

What do you mean by work?
I usually only build, craft, sleep and prepare during day. Night is the action time.
Is there anyway to play this on mobile, sort of like how you can use SSH or whatever to play DCSS?

Ice labs are the only reason why I ever run a ranged character. It's so nice to just be able to put on thermal electric and fur clothes and still have little penalty from wearing fur blankets.
Are you exceedingly paranoid?
Do you live in perpetual fear of unknown corners?
Are you prematurely balding because of the stressful knowledge that behind any corner may be unimaginably startling creatures and machines just waiting to remove your face?
Well, fret no more! Because here at SwineCorp we have developed this marvel of engineering:
The Portable Peek-a-boo! (or Port-a-Boo.(patent pending))

-Patented peeking mirror!
-Pedal driven, no pollution!
-Sturdy casters that can reach a top speed at 77km/h!
-2 bike wire baskets, totalling in 120 units of storage!
-And... completely collapsible! Take it wherever you want!
Coming soon to a evac shelter near you!

Everything. If I'm at home at around 5:00 PM I stay home and read, craft, build and whatever, but I leave my base during the day constantly to loot towns.

What's the weight on that?
Also it would be fucking sick if laser weaponry rebounded off mirrors. Would make a future cornershot :v:

9 kg, and 90 volume when folded.
I think it's a little faster than the default portable bike, can't remember though.
It's actually very unwieldy when i comes to corner peeking. I doubt I'll actually end up using that feature, it was mostly an experiment.
Btw, does anybody know if enemies can see you through the mirror or not?
Didn't make it out of the lab in the lab challange. Are there stairs to the surface? If there are I can get out with a teleporter, but I couldn't find them.

I don't know if it is guaranteed or not, I might've been lucky.
I assume you're looking for the stairs in the square directly beneath the surface access?
That's where they have to be.
Also, check if the surface access tile have the darker shade of blue, if it's just regular lab blue there's probably no stairs.
Christ those mil-spec turrets are really something. I turned a corner and died to a burst with full survivor gear and alloy MBR vest. You used to be able to just walk it off when it was just normal turrets.
Also don't use Mundane zombies mod. It removes many locations: bee hives, labs (!!!), mines and many more.
you are thinking of classic zombies mode, mundane zombies just removes the special zombies while leaving everything else intact.

Labs are terrifying now. Seems like the turrets used to just bounce off you no matter what. I guess this is better than that but still. Need to stock up on grenades just to be able to clear out a lab floor.

I got a somewhat safe trick for turrets. It's probably common knowledge, but I don't know if it's considered spoilery, so I'll spoiler it just in case.
[sp]I usually turn of my lightsource before opening room doors. The turrets give of light, and can't see outside it, and more often than not the light doesn't reach you in the door.[/sp]
At one point I had a character with ridiculously high dex and wired reflexes, etc. I ran up to a turret dodging bullets, and cut it in half with my katana. Nippon steel, blah, blah, folded 5000 times, blah, blah, cut through anything. It promptly exploded killing me instantly.

I hope you mean uncanny dodge instead of wired reflexes because turrets dont give a shit how much dexterity you have, the only way to dodge bullets is either get extremely lucky and the turret is actually missing you or have uncanny dodge in which case you CAN outsmart boolet
Whoa I did not know power armor can spawn near [sp]tears in reality[/sp] I just found one in a house's backyard :v:, but now I just need to find the interface and the helmet.

Power armor can be found fairly easily in [sp] banks just make sure you have decent strength and you can break the doors and safes in vaults using a sledgehammer (s)mash command it can take quite a few hits to break through the doors and vaults though, after you get the loot which includes power armor and high tier bionics make sure you have at least a shotgun to deal with the "police" and its recommended you have a at least a dust mask as well [/sp]
as for the power armor interface ive never really found much use for it because you can use a ups with batterys to power it which are practically inexhaustible once you can craft them and really its only worth powering if are using melee attacks

Interesting.
Anyone made any custom scenarios so far?

The dev ran off.
Maybe we could try a kickstarter again? Since the first one failed miserably because our professional coder ran out on us. :/
