Whats the ideal intelligence level to have in order to be able to understand most books. 8 - 9?
[editline]27th December 2014[/editline]
I just opened the evac room door, immidately aggro'd a tank drone located at a nearby millitary blockade and died before I could even get out of the other side of the shelter before the thing shredded the doors and burst inside. It's good to be back in Cataclysm.

Also, "Pain 175 :D" made me laugh considering 175 is a ridiculously high number and it sounds like your character is ecstatic to be bleeding out in the road while being approached by wolves
[/QUOTE]
Well I was high on meth while in a positive moodswing, can't deny the fun in that.

I like to have 10 if I can. My current character has 12 but I was intending on having him craft his own bionics and a few of the really advanced books seem to like 12 intelligence.
Currently the tree man has had great fun in the new world. A NPC decided to try and shoot something behind me and blew an arm off which then had to be regenerated back, NPCs are so trigger happy.
Does anyone know if Static NPCs spawns any more than the one in the evac shelter? I've not found any, but if I turn random on they spawn super frequently and it's a bit silly.
Inject two different serums, get phelloderm from one and near sighted from the other. Decided that near sighted sucks and drank purifier. Phelloderm gets removed, near sighted stays.
Fuck you too game, now I have to wear contacts.

It does. There are 3x3 "refugee camps" where you can find a lot of people, including some merchants and even some sort of government representatives.
Thank you Lijitsu and ChaosUnleash for your advice, I actually survived spring and summer now.
My tree-man finally died! It took a shotgun blast from an angry NPC after having just stepped on a landmine to finish him! Made it to Autumn 10 before my world bugged, then Spring 10 in the fresh world, so that's roughly a year. Gonna have to think about what my next character is going to be. I quite like the idea of a farmer, but I bet it's incredibly boring to create a farm.

What do they look like on the map?
I think their tile is a bright red 'R', 'r' for the entrance tile. Like hospitals. I had one in my last world before I ragedeleted.
I wish there were more multi-level buildings. Making a base on the top floor of an office is fun.
Got bored and made another sketch of my current character, the lab escapee, and realised I'm the fucking (Chicken-)Shredder!
Got a Survivor- Trenchcoat and Hood, and an O-yoroi. Wielding Razorbar Katars, and got Pneumatic Boltdriver, Nodachi, and a Heavy crossbow.

Also remembered another one I made earlier from one of my more successful Mutator builds.
He wound up becoming quite the charmer:
The Spooky, Slimy Nigth Time Whipper
[T]http://i.imgur.com/Z0DJpSK.jpg?2[/T]
He developed (among other things) Full nightvision, Fangs, Bulging eyes, Reptile eyes, Slimy, and Phelloderm, and some other water resistant perks.
He got almost extatic when it rained, and went around at night and whipped zombies to death, and viciously stabbed those that came too close with his Trench Knife.
I love how weird and varied your characters can get, even if you keep to one particular play style.
I found the bull whip yesterday, oh man I had some fun. The unlimited ranged stun was amazing for keeping back single zs without wasting ammo or getting close.
Rip :(
How the fuck do I explore labs in 0.B without getting absolutely rekt by turrets every time?
Peek around corners. Never open a door directly in front of it, and as long as you have some armor you're incredibly unlikely to get killed in one burst if it happens to still be able to see you AND gets the jump on you. At that point, close the door and don't go in.
Turning off your flashlight also helps, unless the turret is right by the door.

For some reason peeking doesn't work for me, as soon as I stop peeking I get shot even though I'm around the corner.

turning off my flashlight seems to work.
I'm tired of these shrubs ruining my vehicles
I just ran a weakened shrub with my police car and it took off a seat with the goddamn slightly dented frame piece underneath it.
Same with the flowers
Devs need to fix that shit, these are bushes and small plants, not fucking trees

Let's get this party started.
Is there any meth other than the low grade?
Don't think so, sadly. :v:
I remember that you can find mobile meth labs with some meth in/around them along with the same kind of hat Walter White wore in Breaking Bad. It'd be pretty great if that van was the only place you could find high grade meth.
So I got a little cocky with a brute nearby while I was smashing up corpses, and the fucker managed to get up to me and punt me back about 4-5 squares. The vast majority of my damage came from hitting the ground, but his hit dropped my rain coat down like 3 durability levels. So instead of smashing his corpse like I normally would, I just lit it on fire and let the fucker burn.
Nobody fucks with my rain coat.

I have a melee character.
Fights with brutes are like anime fights. Especially with my kris.
Brute sends my flying.
I hit a wall. Stand up.
I hit the brute. Brute is sent reeling.
Brute bounces off a wall.
I hit the brute, the brute is sent reeling, but manages to hit me.
I fly a few meters back.
Pull out a gun and shoot the fucker.

How high is your Strenght, melee and the weapon skill you primarily use?
Found my first mall, it was large and confusing, so I set fire to it.
[QUOTE=nutcake;46815316]How high is your Strenght, melee and the weapon skill you primarily use?[/QUOTE]
12 str, 8 melee and around 7 cutting weapons. Lots of dexterity too.
[editline]29th December 2014[/editline]
It's so fun when I hit a brute, send him reeling, he bounces off a wall and punches me when the bounce throws him at me, sending me flying.
Post-apocalyptic wrestling.
Personally I prefer throwing Zombears across the streets with my Tiger Kung-Fu.

NUH UH! NOPE!

Some of the announcements in this game can be super eerie.
Especially "From the northeast you hear a baby crying!" because it's never a baby... :v:
I'm going to experiment with melee characters since my ranged never end up well

"TEKE-LII! TEKE-LII!"
I always scream internally when you get the meth comedown announcements, like "You feel like you have too many teeth, you pull one out and it's rotten to the core"
