My favorite part about infighting is tankbots and turrets are no longer, if you are in range = death
Turrets have only been like that if you go lab diving without proper gear. Anywhere else they spawn you can easily outrange them.

Got disappointed that flintlock stuff does not give skill when used. So for the first time ever posted a issue on their github in hopes for them to try to get them fixed.
So with Monster Infighting is it better to use Dynamic spawns or Static? With dynamic, wouldn't any sound generated just infinitely make zombies?
I didn't use dynamic since static was introduced. I like to clear out areas and keep em clear. My guess only turrets and other things that make lots of noise will attract stuff while other not so much.
Are stockpiles able to be protected from NPC's now? I always made a deathmobile because I didn't want my shit to be taken.
As far as I'm aware, NPCs in general haven't really been messed with. You could always just get a bunch of turrets, although they'd eventually run out of ammo.

I put 8 of those on my car it takes like 1 ingame day to craft the stuff (goddamn chain takes 8 hours to craft and i'm to lazy to look around hardware shops) Anything that comes near the car just get demolished but the game just freezes from so many shots.
I dunno, can't remember. I'm not going to turn on random NPCs until they fix them for good anyway, I want to be able to actually claim a site with a bulletin board like originally planned.
Did they nerf archery AGAIN? I just debugged a 20 stat character for testing and reflex recurve with fletched metal arrows only did like 40 damage and 60 damage on a headshot from 2 range away. A headshot alone should have done over 120 damage especially on a 20 stat character.
They nerf archery every single update, but this one is due to the aiming update I think. Also your archery skill HEAVILY affects your damage with bows, so unless you also jumped their skills way up that's not that surprising. [editline]18th March 2015[/editline] My character has 12 strength, a reflex recurve, fletched metal arrows, and some ridiculous level in archery and can do significant amounts of damage. 120 at 5 tiles or so with a little bit of luck.

Also, on the newest experimentals (or is it included in the stable already?) they added a scaling function to dynamic NPC spawn so you can leave it on and not get swarmed by assholes.
I had 20 in all stats and skills from debugging. Maybe I forgot to factor in armor because I might have been shooting at a military zombie. Throwing seems to be better than archery now in terms of availability and damage. Archery is a pain in the ass to train anyways.
I seriously don't have any problems with archery even now. It's not as ridiculously strong as it was in 0.8 or so, but it's not that weak. The ammo for it is a lot lighter than thrown weapons anyway.
What's the best way to get charcoal? I want to preserve all my meat by smoking it.
What's the best way to get charcoal? I want to preserve all my meat by smoking it.
Charcoal kiln. If you have tons of metal, make a ton for a minifactory. They also provide light so if you're carrying a lit one around while clearing zones you can attract enemies with less effort.
Did someone say Mobile Doom Fort? http://a.pomf.se/xhdsoo.webm how does one link webms

Trying to make a winter survivor mask, but unsure exactly how to tan.
It's a crafting recipe in the far right tab - can't remember what it's call offhand. You should get it automatically at a high enough survival, and it's also in some survival books.
Ah, well that's taken care of, now I just need kevlar or a ballistic mask which will take a bit to find. Thanks.
If you can find and clear a firehouse, the turnout gear is nomex and kevlar. Firehoods can be layered under helmets, too. [editline]20th March 2015[/editline] Only regular ones though, they're technically clothes while survivor firehoods are armor. Found that out the hard way.
How's the vertical gameplay at the moment? I'd love to be able to climb trees and build tree-forts :v: I tend to get burnt out from the game when I lose a long-lived character, and I'll probably start up again when the z-level stuff get tightened up.
MOTHER FUCKING STORY TIME SO MAD GODDAMN So i get this quest to kill the bandit leader guy no problem but theRE FUCKING IS NO WAY OVER WITHOUT DITCHING THE CAR. So i'm living ON THE FUCKING EDGE So i go around as close as i can since i can swim due to making a rebreather mask to get the BANDIT FUCKERS WHO SETTLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RIVER. Now problem is i got NO GODDAMN filter recharge thing without which i WILL DROWN. Why can't i craft some more? Well you see i have the perk trigger happy so when i did the previous quest that you have to find the informer and kill him I UNLOADED INTO HIM WHICH KILLED TWO NEARBY GUARDS (they don't become hostile funny enough) AND LAND MY SELF A NICE -200 MORALE THAT LASTS FOR MONTHS. O.K. We can do this. I get my syringe and shoot in some morphine, eat my candy, take my adderal, read my playboy do some more stuff and got my moral to -25. I craft THE GODDAMN FILTER. But its only 30 charges and the distance is just barely swimmable. SO WHAT DO I DO!? Eat my caffine pills, drinks my atomic energy drink, use adrenaline CBM, and adrenaline injector. I FUCKING SWAM SO FAST LIKE A MAGNIFICENT CYBER SWAN. Finally i am across the river bank, i find the bandit encampment and first thing i notice is my speed is fucking 0 from all the saddness and drawbacks, next i notice the traps and landmines around the camp. I approach it and HOLY SHIT there HE IS, the guy i have to kill my speed is so crippling he makes so many moves before i do stuff but i got heavy armor so bullets don't harm me its fine. So i take one more step forward and the game freezes for 0.2 seconds, red symbols swarm around the guy and he dies. He stepped on a landmine they planted and died. FUCK OFF. I DID ALL THIS FOR THIS!? FUCK YOU LUCIOUS ROMERO AND THANKS FOR THE CAN OF BEANS.

There are a few buildings with simulated vertical levels as I recall, but there's still nothing even resembling proper z-level support.
Been toying with the debug menu for a while, how does the "Spawn NPC" option work? Or is it an unfinished feature? Nothing seemed to happen when I clicked it. EDIT: Apparently the graphical version dosent support NPCs, considering it worked just fine on the normal version.
What's the required Int to be able to read all books? Also, are any consumables able to boost Int?
You should be able to read all books with any int score, they're just slower. Highest I've seen is like 13 or 14, which was SICP I think. A high level computer book. Some consumables can increase it yeah, can't remember offhand what all of them are. Stuff like cocaine and extreme amounts of caffeine I think, plus pretty sure cigars do.
