It wouldn't let me even try and remove mine =(. Yes, if you use that CBM it's permanent, no chance to remove it.
Oh well, at least I have a cool laser arm now. Also still searching for datura to no luck. :( [editline]30th March 2015[/editline] Surprisingly can still use a lot of guns though. M4A1 is one-handed for example.

[QUOTE=ChaosUnleash;47427232]Hows the damage on that thing? I've not used it since quite a few versions ago and it wasn't that impressive back then.[/QUOTE] According to the Item Browser it has the same stats as the fusion blaster rifle.
It was shit before zombie hp update/buff now its shitter
It's useful though because I don't have to worry about crafting ammo, but I still rather be able to use two-handed rifles.
I just had a complete retard moment and killed my character who had been alive for three years by walking over a dissector. It even asked me if I was sure and I said yes without thinking. Sigh.

How do I know if my power armor is properly powered or not? I have the CBM installed, but I can't tell if activating it is doing anything.
Easiest way is check your encumbrance. It's should be high if it's not powered.
[QUOTE=Lijitsu;47447702]Easiest way is check your encumbrance. It's should be high if it's not powered.[/QUOTE] Weird then. I am using the Power Armor Interface CBM and nothing is happening. I'll screw around and see what I can do.
Which suit are you using? The basic CBM doesn't work with the heavy armor, as far as I'm aware. [editline]2nd April 2015[/editline] If your encumbrance isn't changing, check your body parts' temps. I think that's also affected. Keep in mind I haven't worn power armor in 0.C, I don't currently have a CBM for my heavy armor to work with. It might've changed since 0.B/A.
Oh wow, you have to activate the armor itself...
Oh. Huh. That IS new.
Well power armor seems cool. Too bad it doesn't increase your strength though and gotta find a hauling frame because I don't think they can be crafted. [editline]2nd April 2015[/editline] Also unsure if it is a glitch or not, but you can wear glasses with power armor apparently if you put it on after.
I doubt it's a glitch considering the rather extreme penalties associated with near/far-sighted. It's been like that since before 0.A.
Alright, it's 9PM, I got my stimulants and I'm ready for a Cataclysm binge. I've been putting off playing the new version cause my old character was so nicely built and progressed, but the time has come. Anyone got any "endgame" or rather things to do when you have your shit together in the game ie, good vehicle, large stores of food/water/equipment and a fortified house/stronghold? Just things to progress and advance further and further.. I'll throw in some ideas: - Crops in the summer - Dig a moat around fort, add spikes generously - Create a variety of vehicles. My last save had an electric, solar powered little cruiser that I used to drive around the city and make quick supply runs. I also had a survival RV with all the bells and whistles that I used for long term excursions out of town, and lastly I had a pretty regular car with a V12 thrown in that I used to rip down the highway at ridiculous speeds. I had a motorbike but it mostly got neglected. - Clear your entire city of zombies - Create safehouses around the map out of cabins, military bases or labs, and places in the city. Fortify and supply them to greatly increase the ease and safety of excursions which are very far from your base. - Create an electrical grid around your base. I had a simple "vehicle" which was just a spare engine, alternator, gas tank, set of controls, a box and a few floodlights. It worked pretty decently in lighting the area around my base up completely at night in the case that my character was either arriving home late, staying up late, or hearing suspicious noises outside. I later added on a welding station which consisted of a welder modded with a rechargeable battery and a battery charging station. The capabilities of making an electric grid have since been expanded in the newer versions. - There's mutations and CBMs, of course. - Actually build a cabin somewhere from scratch, or renovate your base if you haven't.
For late game? Either move or just go searching for other cities to raid. Honestly I've had a better time using a motorcycle as a cruiser than an electric car. Gas is pretty easy to come by if you can clear out a gas station safely, and I swear electric cars got nerfed again.
Gah, I accidentally started my game with graphic tiles on. Yuck
Is the amount of ants I've got normal? I'm running on 0.1 spawn rate and everything is being taken over by ants, even 20 worldmap tiles away from ant nests there's atleast 5-10 ants. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/R6MA1Ln.png[/IMG_thumb] [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/nabd4jj.png[/IMG_thumb]
Yeah ant hills shit out ants its normal, try sleeping inside a house close to a anthill for 7 days straight and then when you go outside every single tile is an ant.
Yeah it basically seems sometimes that having an active ant hill revealed means you'll be getting a visit from ants no matter how far away you are. [editline]4th April 2015[/editline] You can stop their spawning by killing the queen inside, but to be honest unless they're becoming a serious a problem you should probably leave them for free food.
[QUOTE=Draginz;47454925] - Create an electrical grid around your base. [/QUOTE] Woah, woah. How? Is there a point to those power stations other than free [sp]CBMs from zombie technicians?[/sp] (Unsure if spoiler or not?)
I think he just means via the vehicle mechanics. [editline]4th April 2015[/editline] Considering no, there's currently no finished power grid available. The power stations and substations are the start of it, the easy part.
Ah, explains a lot. Also will building a bulldozer via rams be effective on knocking down large amounts of trees? I wanna clear parts of the forest near my base to make room for a wall to keep unwanted visitors out.
....Possibly? I mean it'd be a lot simpler, if more time consuming, to just cut them all down.
[QUOTE=Lijitsu;47457527]....Possibly? I mean it'd be a lot simpler, if more time consuming, to just cut them all down.[/QUOTE] Well luckily a massive wildfire fire just took down all of them on my south side from a forgotten camping trip of mine. I panicked to contain it, but luckily a 33 degree drizzle did the job for me. Considering using a controlled fire to get a large area for lots of it. [editline]4th April 2015[/editline] Also still looking datura palnts and of course all I can find is mutated poppies. :suicide: These things even spawn in my world...

[QUOTE=Draginz;47459986]I usually find daturas of the side of the road rather than out in a field or in a forest.[/QUOTE] I mostly travel on roads so I'm surprised I haven't found any, but I'll keep looking.
Anyone found the necropolis or the sunken city yet (newer experimentals)? [sp]I think the necropolis entrance is in one of those preset towns that has lot of irradiated wanderers but when i found the military compound in the sewers , the vault entrance it was 'halfway down you get blocked off' msg, and there was a evelator but the console was destoryed by zombies before i got to it so i gotta find a new one.[/sp]
