Right, that completely killed the atmosphere.
I suppose so. Maybe they could have, at least, had the dark and stormy background for SMB3 Airship levels, since SMB and SMW didn't have airship levels and NSMBU Airship Levels, like I said, weren't dark and stormy.
The Black Spike Ball, whatever it is called, the SMW Sprite is the Link's Awakening sprite but with shading :v: The animation frames are exactly the same. [editline]18th September 2015[/editline] SMM Links Awakening
Lord Exor's level is hilariously deceptively easy (well, rather, it looks a lot crazier than it actually is) despite it's appearances. The first set of three platforms is a tad RNG-bs based on when they actually spawn, but I like how the actual methods of passing each obstacle are cleverly hidden among the chaos without relying on invisible blocks. Kudos for the abuse of old spin jump habits. . . . . does make me wonder why they made it impossible to spinjump on grinders and fire when that was possible in SMW.
Yeah, I didn't finish my level in time for this week because I realized that I really didn't have it in me to work on it for another whole day again and I really needed to take a break before I had an aneurysm. Next week's contest for sure. I'd probably be done already if it weren't for the block limit. It's making it really hard for me to put in all the secrets I want to.
The airship levels were actually sunny with blue skies in SMB3 for NES. I didn't even know that they were dark and stormy in the SNES version until you guys brought it up. :v:
The airship levels were actually sunny with blue skies in SMB3 for NES.
The one exception being World 8. Doesn't mean that the airship being in a thunderstorm isn't badass or necessary, however.
I tried to make a fairly tough platformer stage. Maybe it's good? Lemme know, most of mine are just kinda "have fun!" levels so afraid I might of been a little to soft on it. Toad's Turbulent Terror C97D-0000-004C-F0D1
The one exception being World 8. Doesn't mean that the airship being in a thunderstorm isn't badass or necessary, however.
Would help if we could've done more theme customization. I know there were palette swaps as it was like in SMW, but some things are just lacking that would've been cool even beyond slopes and all that.
Hey if you guys want some direct feedback on your levels, drop by my stream. http://BackSapper.com [editline]18th September 2015[/editline] This was not a shill thing, just want to play some fun mario levels and people keep postin shit.
I completed another course, this one may be a bit easier for some people. Bowser Jr.'s Cannonade: 780C-0000-0048-E038 I'll get around to posting feedback for other people's courses as soon as I gather the time!
I made one more stage today being Bowser's Clockwork Castle F9BC-0000-004E-5C2B I have no idea why my screenshots on miiverse are always terrible and represent nothing of the actual level. I promise there's more then two fire balls....

So if you want it to represent your level, when you save it, make sure your view is of something you want the thumbnail to be. Then save it. You can re-do the thumbnail as many times as you'd like, just open up the editor, find a point, and re-save.
So I uploaded a stage of my own to get used to the airship stuff and SMW game style. Nothing too complex, but the Bowser fight at the end is a pain in the ass admittedly if you're not careful. 606A-0000-0054-A566 Raid on Bowser's Fleet just updated/reuploaded
So I'm pretty sure my levels aren't too hard and people just suck because I piss powerups all over my made levels and somehow people still end up with sub-20% completion rates. Other people are having the same problem right?

Other people are having the same problem right?
Automatic levels tend to have a completion rate of 33% so yes. The completion percentage is based on how many lives-per-clear it takes, not how many people are able to clear it, with it still counting the lives of people who ditch the level after one or two deaths.

Voting ends in 18 mins and only 4 people have voted. Looks like there will only be a top 4 this week.
Voting ends in 18 mins and only 4 people have voted. Looks like there will only be a top 4 this week.
I would vote, but I've been away from my Wii U all day yesterday and today.

I wanted to make some fun realistic levels. I'm actually proud with how they came out.
THE TOP....7 OF THE WEEK HAVE BEEN DECIDED. 1st place: HyperBowser with the stage Castle Doors. Please PM and I will add it to this post.
How does the vote work? I see 6 stages in this top 7, and one of them had two votes a few days ago, so it couldn't have been one person switching, with one of the top 7 not even having any votes and mine having a vote yet not getting in. :v: EDIT: Some of these aren't even associated with the owner that made them.
Sorry I've been jumping back and forth between this and Math homework. Get off my back. :saddowns: Let me fix the errors. Your stage got a vote after I already counted them. So that isn't an error.

And the Top 7 was an accident when I put down total votes instead of levels that were voted on. So that has been fixed with 6. Xubs level got accidentally switched with someone else so I fixed that. And with that everything seems to be in order. Please report anymore errors that I did if anymore pop up.
Okay so there's a lot of good levels trying to replicate other Nintendo games, so I wanted to make one that replicates a bit of software- this entire level is inspired by Swapnote. I think I did a good job considering the tools open to me though the level isn't terribly long either. Swapnote with Nikki! I'm guessing the background tile stuff that isn't one of the pass-through foreground platform sets is among some of the last tiles?
I'm guessing the background tile stuff that isn't one of the pass-through foreground platform sets is among some of the last tiles?
I should ask that now my self. I got everything unlocked and haven't found how to do backgrounds like that.
