I thought if you place the exit of two unique warp pipes on the exact same location that it was valid and make both warp pipes exit out of the same one warp pipe? So, it doesn't sever the connection if warp pipes intersect
My mistake, this is correct (it basically prioritizes the layered pipe when attempting backtracking). I wonder what could have caused his issue, then . . . .
I'm only proud of two MM levels right now, but honestly I'm having a blast making them.
I briefly considered buying a WiiU just for this game, because I've always enjoyed level editing and such, and an easy to use level editor for Mario games seemed like a dream come true.
However, after seeing several people stream Mario Maker, I realized that nine out of ten levels are some kind of dumb "make a level as stupidly difficult as possible" kind of 'I wanna be the guy' like torture bullshit, and the few levels that aren't still look like some ten year old kid spent half an hour just throwing random objects on the screen.
I'm sure there are a lot of hidden diamonds, but the game doesn't seem to offer the tools needed to isolate and find these amazing levels.
Overall this game once again just proves that average people just lack the creativity to make a good and enjoyable level, and if you give them easy to use tools all they will do is drown the database in terrible horseshit.
Give it a month or two, the shit will get filtered out and the people who care will still be there making the best levels.
I wonder if we're gonna get DLC/content packs. There's still a lot of content from the games just flat-out missing from Mario Maker and it's kinda disappointing.

The mascot of Famitsu is being added as a dlc nes character, so it's likely they'll be making DLCs. I doubt they cut content from the game to push as free dlc, though.
Pageking, so I'm gonna share this twitter account I found that lets you submit levels and puts the best ones up. Some real good ones here, I'd say.

Reworked my "Back n' Forth" level. It works like a Metroid-vania, it's not supposed to be hard to clear without dying since the challenge is to figure out where the next powerup is and where to use it.

Keep your Bullet Bill alive and use him to get across otherwise impossible jumps. If you miss your jump there's a safety net acting as checkpoints.
So I made an airship level and a tank level. I don't think they're too horrible, but the airship one's a little hard.
Airship: 3243-0000-005A-0889
Tank: 5F5C-0000-005A-F417
I got 5 more levels to share here
Mario Koopa Blast 1 (SRB2) (7593-0000-002E-B75D)
Glaber's 2-1 (0AF6-0000-002A-C530)
Jr's Toon Ship (Tiny Toons NES) (7594-0000-0038-8F55)
Glaber's 2-2 (493E-0000-003B-6983)
Knothole Base Zone (SRB1) (EC85-0000-003E-F549)
Wheel of Boos in the Clown Car. They circle the car and follow you until you hop in, flying away as soon as you do. This is amazing.

I just combined that with a mushroom and wings. Terrifying, but deceptively easy.

Also, I can't use the NSMBU theme. Pipes don't sit flush to walls.

I reworked Castle Cheep Cheep to make its theme more consistent. Let me know how it is; I'll get around to reviewing other levels soon in an attempt to reciprocate.
I hate the levels where people just place insane amounts of spam.

I made a short level to help me practice wall jumps for NWC 2015-4, hopefully someone else can make use of it.
I tried to make it less punishing than others I had seen, so it doesn't insta-kill you after you mess up once. Instead you have to make it to the end of each 'section' as big Mario to progress. There's a series of checkpoints under each section in case you fall (or lose your power up) which has a respawning shroom.

I made a level. Let me know what you think. I'm not much of a mario player myself, actually had to get my friend to finish the level. It took him about 2 hours. It's not difficult for bullshit reasons though like enemy spam or anything like that, it's just a few difficult jump timing and placements as well as a bit of dodging.
I'm sure some people in here can finish it way faster than that, let me know how long it takes you (or whether you give up)
[editline]21st September 2015[/editline]
Oh actually theres one part that's bullshit, at the end you have to hit the fourth block up with the shell. The others all have goombas in them and won't break

I wanted to do something with flying shoes, so I made a shoe-t 'em up. I probably went a bit overboard with enemies at the end.
I feel like I've almost made enough levels for a small game at this point :v:

First one is something I was thinking of for awhile, heard some people were doing a similar level gimmick so figured I should submit mine. I think it's pretty fun.
Second one is built to be a kind of breather bonus level. Hidden 1ups and all sorts of fun stuff in a colorful setting.
I really want to add Lakitu's to my stages, they're a pretty annoying enemy to deal with, but the reward for beating one is an item that lets you skip like, half of a stage, which is horribly distasteful.
I hope they add an optional function so that Lakitu's DON'T leave a cloud behind.

place them high enough up that a person can't reach them. This could however just make them an obstacle that can't be defeated, but having killable turtles nearby should allow you to grab a shell to chuck up at them
ARE YOU A RAD ENOUGH DUDE TO BEAT MY TRILOGY OF HATS?
Hats saves lives: EA9E-0000-001C-1F7F
Hats helps you: DEDD-0000-003D-59A2
(NEW)Hats deceive people: C5F3-0000-005F-0C0B (Fixed level flaw)
It was a awesome learning experience making these three levels.
One more tip. Theres a secret in the new level. Good luck.
I really wish I could put a Lakitu on a track. Having an enemy throw items/baddies only in a specific spot but it follows you along the track would be nice.
I've been spending a lot of time with the game and made quite a few levels, but I want to be able to post more than a tiny snapshot of the map to go along with the code. Isn't there a way to upload pics from a game you're playing to some site like imgur? Before I post codes I want to show the highlights of each stage.
I reached my limit so for right now my last level.

It's not super hard, the main idea was to create an authentic Super Mario World stage with multiple paths and organic design.
I've finally managed to get my hands on this, and so far I've been having a blast just messing around. Currently doing that trick to unlock stuff early, so hopefully by the end of the night you'll see some levels by me.
Got some heavy news today so I made a short ghost house stage to try to take my mind off things. I don't think I made it to difficult to figure out how to escape given the fact the house is small but it's hard to judge that kind of stuff when you're the one making it.

I just spent the evening making a bunch of levels, emulating a classic Mario world. I'll post the whole lot tomorrow, with some pictures and descriptions [sp]though if someone could tell me how to share the screencap pictures of the stages you make I'd be most grateful[/sp].
All in all, gotta say that this is a whole lot of fun. Definitely a good purchase.

They really need to lower the amount of stars you get before increasing your level limit I have a fair share on my levels but I'm still stuck at 10 levels.
I made a goofy level primarily about Goombas and Mario trying to pass through a manor filled with em.
