Also I wanted to build a stage around chain chomps so made a straightforward castle stage about them. As I was making it I started thinking about hiding secrets away and ended up making a number of hidden areas- one actually requiring backtracking if anyone is bored enough to look for it.

The other scrapped amiibos are of Mashiko/Mary O., Baby Mario, E Gadd, MarioUS (SMB2 Mario), Balloon Fighter, Mr Saturn, the rabbit from the Collectable Badge Center, a Golden Retriever (presumably Nintendogs, but another, much lower possibility is the Undo Dog), Muncher, Nabbit and a Tetramino.
Also in that screencap are Popo, Lucas and . . . . Kaizo? (Your guess is as good as mine on the last one. EDIT: Got clarification. It's Cyrus from Animal Crossing. Pudding is Jigglypuff)
In addition, unused SMB3 frames indicate that they were originally going to have the ground pound and wall jump be available in SMB3 (with new sprites based on the sliding and jumping sprites), but likely were scrapped for authenticity of the SMB3 style.

Probably the simplest of the group, I wanted to make one of those levels where you're riding a platform and you have to deal with various things trying to hit you. It's a short simple level but hopefully it's not too bad. The using the tools given I tried to make it fun!

Final one but in this stage Mario enters the base that's been crowning all the enemies and attempts to shut it down. Something of a dumb joke considering the crowns I've been giving all the big enemies.
I just want springs that can be anchored in place.

Agreed. I rarely use springs because they're so easy to grab and accidentally throw off cliffs and such.

I know that's a joke but Kaizo means Remodel in Japanese. (adopted as a nickname for crazyhard levels because they ended up becoming the most common form of level redesigns/hacks due to the ease of making something ridiculous) I would have assumed it was for the Construction Cap Mario but that seems inconsistent with the rest of the Mario amiibos. (It's not Foreman Spike from Wrecking Crew, either, since his name is Blackey in Japan and there is a slot with that name there)
I got the MR.G&W, Duck Hunt, and R.O.B amiibo. So I decided to make a level where you have to find all three.

Bowser's fleet: Surprise Attack!
You enter against an airship fleet, each with their own layout and traps both below and above. The path you take goes under every airship, then over, leading into an anticlimatic battle with bowser in the hull of the lead airship because I know people would hate dying right at the end so I made it super easy. Also you get a mystery mushrooms instead of regular because it's pretty easy to speedrun while being half the height of Super Mario.

Enough so that you unlock every sample stage. The game then automatically unlocks the four stages shown off at the Nintendo World Championships at the bottom of the sample stages section of Coursebot. If you beat those individually you get the Mush.

Probably the most vertical level you'll play! With door tricks I made it look like you're going up a very tall tower.
Just got Mario Maker today and I'm addicted. Its so great. I made a few levels(mainly for my BF to play through, but also to unlock the first 4 sets before SMW.) They're nothing fancy but I figured i'd let people go through them if they want.
The general "story" is that you're Peach, rescuing Mario.

There's a 2 points where you need to bounce off enemies to continue, but don't let those rooms get too swarmed (unless you want a bunch of 1ups or something).

the third red turtle at the end spawns bad and is waaaay too high to reach, otherwise decent platforming. I'd swap those turtles out for something a little more predictable, it'd be understandable for people to want to ragequit after going through the rest of the level only to see the flag, with the only platform being randomly out of reach. Fifth attempt I managed to do a trigger spin to JUST barely float through to the end, taking the turtle to the face in the process
only other note is that the helmet dispenser won't produce another shell unless you completely dispose of the first one. I didn't know it was there til it dumped one on the floor, so I threw it off only to find it got stuck in that row of those chompy flower things. Managed to reset it by hopping back into the warp pipe, but something like that could end up being a deal breaker for a run
