Gnat Attack Hard Mode has to be the hardest game to come out in the last 10 years The reward was worth all that torture though
I can't even do regular Gnat Attack. Seriously, what the fuck.

Over at SA they're having a contest with the theme of a cave and water level. I ended up making a level themed after a cave-in Mario causes near the start. You'll have to transverse a underground lake and dodge some old mining equipment to get to the end- though it's not too terribly tasking! Gnat Attack in Hard Mode is so hard that it isn't fun. Rest in peace my chance at collecting every costume Although I did complete every official course and event course, the official Bowser course is a bitch but really good
more costumes, still no daisy. i dont even particularly like daisy but wow.
The shading on that makes her look like she has hairy arms.
any of you guys try messing with doors since the update? They added a fun thing to them
Characters ostensibly uploading levels is kinda cool. Bowser uploading a puzzle level of all things is genius.

Have any of the event courses been taken down yet? I ask because I haven't exactly been in possession of my Mario Maker disc since before the update, and I don't want to miss out on any of them.
917A-0000-0078-F6A0 Here's a course I made. Probably the most challenging one I've made. Let me know how you like it.
I've made a fucktonne of levels, but let me just dump down my personal faves. Frog Suit is being added to the game! [sp]as a mystery mushroom[/sp]
Now that is cruel. Gib suits plz
"We need more ideas on what to add to Mario Maker. Any ideas?" "We can add more power ups." "More costumes?" "No I said more power ups like the frog suit" "Add the frog suit as a costume? Great Idea! The people always want more costumes!"
"Sir, any idea why our Super Mario Maker playerbase is rapidly declining?" "It must be because we don't have enough costumes for the mystery mushrooms." "Ah! Brilliant!"
Ah, looks like it's already in the game. You need to clear the NES Remix event course to unlock it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/uf5F15S.jpg[/t] And since it's a costume you can only use it in SMB1 stages and not SMB3 ones.
-angry rant snip-
I think you're kind of over-reacting to a harmless costume and putting a really weird amount of blame on it. I think the playerbase is going down because there's no way to filter out the complete dogshit levels people feel the need to upload, not because they can't play as frog Mario, let alone the fact I doubt a bunch of suits sat around a table going "haha how can we piss off our customers NEXT??" The game is still somewhat new, and it JUST had it's first big update. Chill out jeez.
I only stopped playing Mario Maker cause Fallout came out :v:
Anyone up to trying a normal mario level? I like to make just vanilla courses time to time- things you might see in a actual game and this was my latest attempt. Righto, picked up the game today and came up with the best damn thing I could with what little tools are unlocked at the start. It ain't hard, but it demands perfection. 00f9-0000-0100-0c95
I had an idea for some DLC. What if they added in a skin for one of the existing games (probably Super Mario 1.) and it was in the style of the Paper Mario games?
I had an idea for some DLC. What if they added in a skin for one of the existing games (probably Super Mario 1.) and it was in the style of the Paper Mario games?
Considering how the spritework is set up, that'd probably take even more effort than slopes, really.
Just thought I'd post this since no one else already has but apparently we're getting a new costume soon. Looks like this time it's based on Mario & Luigi Paper Jam. Would've preferred a Paper Mario costume just on his own.
Would've preferred slopes.
Would've preferred slopes.
Amazingly not that difficult to program either.
Would've preferred slopes.
Could you imagine if someone was this grumpy that every time a event course popped up this was the natural reaction?
They probably are going to add a slope tile as a costume just to screw with people.
