The Unknown Beta Gun looks like an early displacer gun. The heavy weapons grunt is in Sven Co-Op. The robot is used in the German version of Half-Life, in place of the Marines due to censorship issues. It is also a selectable model in multiplayer.

This makes me so thankful I saved my money that I was gonna spend on HL1... I can't wait for Black Mesa... I want to find out what the hell happened in HL2 heheh. No Idea what was going on.

I have categorized the forms of the beta: Mid - late 1997 =1 hand guns, bloody head, crabs, and freaky scientists/Barneys. Early to mid 1998 no Hev arms, fixed scientists, clean head crabs, blond hair Gordon(as you can see he doesn't wear gloves) Mid 1998 Hev suit arms, blue uniform zombies, better scientists with black gloves, fixed, Barneys.

If I'm not mistaken, Valve scrapped most of this once they thought it pretty much sucked, and started working on the Half-Life we know today from scratch. At least that's what I heard on this G4 special about Half-Life.
