War never changes. The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from its lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into an economic superpower. But war never changes. In the 21st century, war was still waged over the resources that could be acquired. Only this time, the spoils of war were also its weapons: Petroleum and Uranium. For these resources, China would invade Alaska, the US would annex Canada, and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarreling, bickering nation-states, bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth. In 2077, the storm of world war had come again. In two brief hours, most of the planet was reduced to cinders. And from the ashes of nuclear devastation, a new civilization would struggle to arise. The game was initially intended to use Steve Jackson Games' GURPS system, but when Interplay made the decision to drop GURPS on February 12, 1997, it created its own system, SPECIAL. Fallout is seen as the "spiritual successor" to Interplay's classic 1987 CRPG Wasteland. In the aftermath of the Great War, the surface world burned. Underneath, hidden deep underground in Vault 13, survivors live a sheltered and comfortable life, away from the radiation and the perils of the wastes. In 2161, the vault's water chip fails, and needs a replacement. You are selected to exit the vault and find a new water chip on the surface. If you are using an other version, the High Resolution Patch is Highly recommended. If you use Fallout Fixt you won't need the Unofficial Fallout 1 Patch, these fixes are included within Fallout Fixt itself. Released on September the 30th, 1998, it was officially developed by Black Isle Studios, which by that point had become a full-fledged design outfit. Fallout 2 is considered one of Black Isle Studios' best RPGs by most critics, and is generally well respected in the RPG community. Eighty years after saving Vault 13, the Vault Dweller wandered the wastes and founded the village of Arroyo, where a secluded tribe lives in simplicity and peace. As an unforgiving drought hits the village and threatens to starve its people, the Chosen One is sent to the wastes to find a Garden of Eden Creation Kit and save his people. Instead, Fallout Tactics focuses on squad-based combat and introduces near real-time combat, called "continuous turn-based" by the developers, as well as multiplayer mode, to the Fallout series. The game takes place in the American Midwest rather than the West Coast, where the previous Fallout titles took place. Because of inconsistencies with all the previous Fallout games, Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel is not part of the official Fallout canon except for its pivotal events. When the game starts, the Brotherhood is trying to claim territory surrounding Chicago. By offering protection to villages of tribals the Brotherhood is able to draft it's recruits from among the tribals. At the beginning of the game, the player character is an Initiate, a new recruit to the Brotherhood, tasked to lead a squad of soldiers made up of the available troops. As the campaign against the raiders succeeds into dispersing them into the wasteland, the player character is accepted fully into the Brotherhood and learns the eventual goal of the Brotherhood: A campaign west across the Great Plains towards the Rocky Mountains in search of Vault Zero, the one-time nucleus and command center of the pre-war vault network, where the most senior government, scientific and themilitary leaders were housed and the highest technology available was maintained. It is the third installment in the Fallout series and the first installment in the series to show the East Coast of the United States, with a story mostly disjointed from the two previous installments. It was released on October 28, 2008 in North America, on October 31, 2008 in Europe and on December 4, 2008 in Japan. Two hundred years after the great war, life in Vault 101 persists, its people few in numbers but sheltered from the perils of the wastes. Your father, the Vault's resident doctor, raised you alone to a comfortable, if simple life. In 2277, your father leaves the Vault for unknown reasons and you find yourself following in his footsteps. Forced out of the vault, you must find your Father in the Capital Wastelands. While technically a sequel to Fallout 3, New Vegas goes back to the West Coast and instead follows up on the events of Fallout 1 and 2. It was developed by a few of the employees who worked on previous Fallout games at Black Isle Studios, along with a larger number of new employees. It is set in the Mojave Desert. The year is 2281. In the middle of the Mojave Desert lies an oasis of vice and neon lights - New Vegas, the heart of the desert, ruled by the mysterious Mister House. Gamblers come to test their luck and NCR troops come to forget about the ever lasting threat of Caesar's Legion. You are the Courier, and you were tasked with delivering a platinum chip to Mister House. But you never made it - the lights of the strip were but a vague tint in the horizon when a man in a checkered suit ambushed you, stole your package, and shot you in the head, leaving you in a shallow grave. You awake eight days later, with a hole in your head and a score to settle. It is a sequel to Fallout 3, and the second game in the series to take place on the East Coast. A happy couple in Sanctuary hills. A house in a quiet neighborhood, a car, a robot butler, a healthy baby boy - they used to have a dog too, but he's gone somewhere. She's a lawyer, he's a war veteran. In a couple of hours, he'll be holding a speech at the veteran's hall. Life's good. The date is October 19, it is 8 AM, and in a few minutes, the world will end. Modding Modding is the same process for Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4, and is the same as modding Elder Scrolls games. Mods are installed manually by dropping the files in the DATA folder of the game or automatically by using Nexus Mod Manager, and then activating the .esp and .esm files (if any) in a mod manager. Mod Organizer offers has a different mod installation method described in its tutorials. Console Commands help <matchstring> <filter> <form type> – Searches for item IDs, perk names, and even other commands. Use PageUp and PageDown keys or keyboard equivalents to scroll through the console. matchstring: The search term(s). filter: Integer from 0 to 4. 0 – List all results. 1 – List functions. 2 – List settings. 3 – List globals. 4 – List other forms (requires form type, see below for common examples). form type: 4 character form type identifier (required only for filter=4, otherwise ignored), e.g.: NPC_ – NPCs (Underscore to fill 4 character requirement). ARMO – Armor and clothing. WEAP – Weapons. QUST – Quests. CELL – Cells. OMOD – Item mods. MISC – Miscellaneous items. FACT – Factions. PERK – Perks. FURN – Furniture (not Workshop/Settlement compatible). Example: help leather 0 – This will list everything - item IDs, perk names, and commands - with "Leather" in the name. Example: help "leather armor" 0 – If your search term contains a space, surround it in quotation marks. Example: help raider 4 armo – Lists all armors with "raider" in their name. Example: help "gunner con" 4 npc_ – Lists all NPCs with "gunner con" in their name, like "Gunner Conscript". It works with food, water, chems and alcohol, and has great synergy with mods that return bottles into your inventory. QuickTrade: Another excellent QoL mod, like Eating Off the Floor. This allows you to instantly trade with a vendor, companion, or settler, without having to go through all the dialogue. This saves tons of time. LooksMenu: Requires F4SE. This makes the character customization screen less shitty. You can select parts of the face from a list, all the lists are expanded in size, and you can save/load face presets. A small part of the game, but a big QoL improvement. Live Dismemberment: I'm hesitant to call this mod "essential", but I wouldn't play without it. It makes crippling limbs much more visceral and satisfying. I've been using the POSTAL setting, and it's great! I prefer this over the wacky explosions of Bloody Mess. If you want it to feel more realistic, you can use this mod by Hoosteen, to set which weapons can dismember. [t]http://modernfirearms.net/userfiles/images/machine/mg10/bren_l4a4.jpg[/t]
Probably because I'm taking all kinds of liberties with the concept and adding bits and bobs from existing LMGs to give it a more Light Machine Gun feel, like a carry handle, bumps from a Bren drum magazine and likely an M249 ported-style barrel shroud Think it'll have a similar rpm to an M60 and each bullet will effectively be a micro missile (with the particle effects toned down for performance.) People might be expected the bullets to explode (that's not how gyrojets work) so I might just include an explosive bullets mod anyway for maximum dakka Here's the concept btw
What is the verdict on FO4 DLC?
The workshop ones are only worth it if you're really into that stuff, Far Harbour is great, Nuka World is just behind it and Automatron is only kinda worth it
What is the verdict on FO4 DLC?
Far Harbor's fantastic other than the DiMA puzzles. Nuka World's pretty good too. Automatron's ok. Rest are filler.
IMO, Far Harbor is one of the best DLCs for a Bethesda game; Nuka-World is pretty well made and is fun with an evil or anarchistic kinda character, and Automatron adds a really fun gameplay feature with a decent quest and one of the best dungeons in Fallout 4 for the climax. Workshop stuff is all filler that's only worth it if you're into that kind of thing/if mods end up needing them (I'm sure some will).
I'm assuming Far Harbor is only really worth it if you go with Nick since the plot heavily involves him, right? Also, I'm really looking forward to your weapon mods asXas and rizzler, they both look really great and I can't wait to download them!
You should have Nick, at least for your first run, but it's fine without him if you don't want to take him
Ah, I heard Nick was the only one with unique dialog and the other buddies just respond to things as they would in vanilla.
im having new vegas preformance problems, it has a constant stutter that really slows down the game and crashes before this were frequent, getting worse as gametime increased video of game (open in new tab for larger size)
[vid]http://puu.sh/sS6Ry/f32b026f26.webm[/vid]
mods

im thinking its save filesize related at this point but idk how to fix that i am on 4gb updated launcher
More Smarter Companions

It modifies all the companions to have a little more uniqueness to their fight. Some have a chance of getting a better gun some get special abilities and all get a much needed AI upgrade. All of the companions have had their AI tweaked so they will retarget nearby threats so they don’t get mauled. Most will also pull out a melee weapon if engaged in close range and have a decent weapon on hand. Perception will effect there cone of fire if they’re not moving or crouched. They can now critical and it’s based off their luck stat (5 = 5%). They indicate that they are under chem or alcohol effects by showing the generic legendary yellow smoke effect. Adjusted non stealthy guys to be non-stealthy (danse, strong) and stealthy to be really stealthy (piper, nick, deacon, dogmeat). All companion weapons get a 5% boost in power for every 10 levels up to 25%. Companions received perks for weapons they would prefer, chem, alcohol, food, stimpack use, night vs day perks and radiation immunity’s varying on their personality types and race.
There's much more changes in the description, but it gives companions unique abilities that makes them worth having around plus some AI upgrades.

did they finally can that?
did they finally can that?
I... thought they did?
Underleveled Nuka World is not that fun. Like, it was a work to kill one Nukalurk, but as soon has it died 6 Assaultrons jumped down and blasted Gage and me. I only eventually cleared it by ducking into doorways and kiting Nukalurks. And then I see 6 of the spongy bastards outside. I honestly don't think there's enough caps and bullets for me to kill them. And I suspect there's a queen somewhere around there. Know what would help? Being able to tell the raiders to back me up if they want to have the district. Because at this point, my character is sizing up the raiders and thinking they're the easier fight. I mean, the only benefit to raider settlements is that you get 3 extra guys when taking one, and I've never needed back up to defeat a few molerats.
yeah, Nuka World is an endgame quest don't go in as soon as you get the chance
Normally I wouldn't, but I see going to Nuka World before finding the Minutemen or Diamond City to be the only justification for siding with the raiders but even now I'm reconsidering.
I... thought they did?
I don't think it's officially canned, it's just Garry hasn't worked on it in months. People joked that the only thing that will make him work on it again is having another kid.
did they finally can that?
The Rust forum links to it so I don't think so.

[t]http://www.lexingtoncontainercompany.com/NEW_30_CAL_AMMO_CAN_1.jpg[/t] Kinda works, since the Gyrojet was kinda designed to be a space gun, so thin light materials were called for. Also, with the rocket itself, the gyro-jet rounds did not have fins. They stabilized themselves and created spin with canted venturis. I don't mind the fins, but they should look like they fold out when leaving the barrel, kinda like how a Hydra rocket does. [t]https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3720/9292835654_7f47d7c4b5_b.jpg[/t]
