Trying to figure out where I want to put my main base still and it's hard, like it needs to be outdoors for the vertibird, and I would like it if it was mostly flat with no pre existing buildings.
I imagine fallout wouldn't be great in china because either A-The chinese, being long time communists, got their shit together really quickly or B-The USA, being long time crazies, had a lot more nukes.
I have a question about option B here, how does whatever side that has more nukes, get nuked more :v:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/d8p8wb8.jpg[/t] That's China, take a guess which ended up happening.
While this is the probable outcome for China, some people are quick enough to go "not canon" because it's Mothership Zeta. Which is just whatever to me.
Actually, is there a mod that adds an outside part of vault 88 by chance? Like for a landing pad.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/d8p8wb8.jpg[/t] That's China, take a guess which ended up happening.
Except that's not china, that's the north atlantic ocean
mod idea number 73: when you have low intelligence names on things get swapped like bramin and dog, raider and settler would make things interesting
Or they get named after the sound they make. So brahmin are called moos and dogs called woofs and Prestons are called nothing because he's in the cold, cold ground.
Except that's not china, that's the north atlantic ocean
How can you tell where it is?
I'd just go pull the texture out of the game so we could get a clear look without "Bethesda BloomTM" in the way, but I never bought Mothership Zeta.

Maybe the US annexing canada helped disperse the chinese payloads a little better too.
How can you tell where it is?
If you look closely on the texture used for the planet, you can see south america & lake michigan EDIT : Please, for those who disagree, please have a look at the texture yourself before you judge. Also, look at more world maps.
mod idea number 73: when you have low intelligence names on things get swapped like bramin and dog, raider and settler would make things interesting
Would be even better if everything was spelled incorrectly too "dag" "rader" "setler" "guner"
While this is the probable outcome for China, some people are quick enough to go "not canon" because it's Mothership Zeta. Which is just whatever to me.
I classify that specific act as non-canon because the firing was optional and not everything you do in game is canon. especially if it's optional and I think it's more of an Easter egg than anything else, probably added in because Bethesda thought it looked cool and admittedly it does. Besides, how silly would it be to destroy an entire extremely important continent through a throwaway act that has no bearing in a DLC that's "out of this world" as it is, if you'd pardon the pun.
How's it important? Fallout has always been about post-apocalyptic America and all its quirkyness, China is just a little throwaway character that got you there.
How's it important? So I figured out why that vegetation mod Nuclear Reloaded was removed from the Nexus, apparently it was the Resurrection mod dev with another account and name. https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/5290700-nuclear-reloaded-gone/ Still they can get fucked for outright removing it and banning him, even if it used assets from others it's a pretty decent, non FPS intensive overhaul.
China didn't get obliterated. Firing the laser is literally nothing more than a joke button. If you want to consider it anything else, you can consider the fact it has absolutely zero karma impact so you probably hit either the ocean or a place literally devoid of any and all people. Not to mention the fact that nobody can agree on where it hit which is kind of the point of having made it hit a big fat cloud with no resemblance of landmarks anywhere around it. Like the rest of the Mothership Zeta dlc, it's about as canon as a fever dream and has no resemblance of weight on the rest of the series.
mothership zeta was the bad trip that convinced the lone wanderer to get off of jet
People are saying the death ray didn't hit china it hit near Canada.
When I first played MZ I thought that was supposed to be a sun reflection

That is fucking dope. What's that from?

Blah blah blah you can't get rid of china because the chinese audience is huge and bethesda, being sellouts to the core, would change the fallout setting to china immediately if they thought it'd profit more. I mean, if they had an actual interest in doing china because they're interested in it's history, culture, and communism, I'd lap it up. But I don't think that'll happen with current bethesda. I don't think the chinese government would take satire very well either.
That battery charge indicator/screen thing is in a pretty awkward spot haha I love the concept though!
It'd be embedded, so you wouldn't actually hit anything on the cheek, plus your left eye would be on the scope so while it seems pretty in the way, it wouldn't actually be. I realised as I was making the concept you'd have zero way of actually being able to know how many shots/how much charge the battery has. So I thought a simple screen would be perfect just above where the battery goes. That is in real world thinking, not magical FO just knowing.
That is fucking dope. It's pretty much a WA2000, except it shoots lasers now.

China might be big business for Hollywood but I'm not so sure it's the same for Western video games.

It's a sweet idea, I'd never have thought of a laser WA2k.
