M150 makes hilarious mods, I love em.
This is something I don't get, why do so many people hate Mama Murphy? Didn't seem like a bad gal to me.
Obligatory.
Only when we've figured out a way to unfuck the dialogue system.
There's already mods that do that. Fallout 4 just has less dialogue that's all.

Alright! Was experimenting with robot designs for assistants and general deference.
It was assign to a job already and then it scale itself down after getting near the station.

Not entirely sure why scale is being used but life!
I think they have better things to work on than fake humans and synthetic gorillas.
Seems like they're just kinda twiddling their dicks. They can't even make an energy pistol that works better than the ones from 200 years ago.
Probably a balancing issue given their prevalence. They could've just sorted it fairly simply by having Institute Synth mass-produced and Institute Courser/Personnel higher-quality weapons.
I feel like you're pricks for spoiling what could've been the nicest suprise mod.
This is like getting mad at someone for showing you the pictures on the back of a game's case.
boy i sure hope the Brotherhood didn't have any innocent children on that airship!
Innocent? No one is innocent in the wasteland. Certainly not the BoS's version of the Hitlerjugend.
Anyway, supposedly I'm the director of the Institute now, so even if I can't actually do anything I'm going to assume in the long run I do get a say as to what the Institute does next, so in theory I would be able to direct their superior technology and armies of (now treated ethically with the help of by buddies in the Railroad) synths into improving the Commonwealth, side by side with the Minutemen. Whom I also own.
I mean, it's not like there's anyone in the Institute who would disobey me, right? They're pasty underground lab geeks. I'm a mass murdering psycho who just saw their spouse and then son die.
Right. So time to treat myself to a trip to Nuka World. I think I earned it.
It's a shame we can never really do anything w/ regards to governing the Institute or the Minutemen. You'd think a power-armoured pre-war angel of death and vengeance with a handful of vertebrae and a headful of mad would command some sort of authority beyond that of holy errand boy.

Unfortunately that's a problem with a lot of RPGs that let you join factions and rise in their ranks.
I mean, they're RPGs. Pretty much the only theme-appropriate interaction they can provide is a fetch quest: as the hero of the story they need you do do something heroic for them, not the other way around.
Otherwise at some point the game would transition from an RPG to a strategy or management game, like Mount & Blade or, I dunno, Crusader Kings.
We've seen some attempts at doing something like that, like the Mass Effect 3 war assets and multiplayer bullshit, or Inquisition's stupid war table crap.
Fallout 4's own settlements are another lame step in that direction, but like the former ones it just isn't hefty enough to matter nor does it mesh well with the rest of the game.
The logical solution is to just stop letting you become the leader of every single faction you come across, like in the Witcher games. Just because you're the hero doesn't mean everyone wants you to be their boss.
Or end the game as soon as you climb to the top. "Many wars and feuds did Conan fight. Honor and fear were heaped upon his name and, in time, he became a king by his own hand... And this story shall also be told." End credits. Go home.
Or go in the opposite direction, full on settlement building mode, and make the game something like the new Conan MMORPG. Maybe that would work. I guess we'll see.
If the game somehow turned into mount and blade with lasers and deathclaws and three headed horses that glow green, I don't think anyone would complain.

Do you really want to play Mount & Blade as implemented by Bethesda though?

I mean ultimately you do accomplish a lot for the minutemen since you can organize settlements to a significant degree, planning entire works of infrastructure and telling people what to do and where to do it, from amenities to shops to trade routes.
It just comes off as doing chores because it's something you start doing before you become general, and you never really have to order the actual troops around once you get to that point, they're all self-sufficient as far as the game mechanics are concerned and that is a shame.
I wonder how a system like what AC:Brotherhood introduced, where you can send increasingly better soldiers to perform tasks far away from your base of operations, would have worked in FO4. Basically being able to send minutemen beyond the Commonwealth to take care of menial shit would have been cool.

FEV Prank[Gone Wrong]
Does that horrific japanese abominations mod have the creatures spawn out in the commonwealth as enemies to fight? I'd actually play with it just for the sake of variety.

From what I read yeah. You need "Automatron", "Far Harbor", "Nuka-World" for it to work
[editline]19th March 2017[/editline]
Scripted leveled character injection.
The addition to the game is added to the leveled character by script.
Some new spawning points are added on the map

[sp]sorry for the slut-shaming i just couldn't resist[/sp]
Would be nice if you could build robot crabs. I'd love to call one Mecha Snips.
If they were child soldiers in training for the brotherhood, can we truly call them innocent?
who knows? and that's not a rhetorical question, i mean that no one in the game talks about it

Honestly find this more forgivable than the mirelurk emperor in that mod.

Well, on one hand:
[t]http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/7/7f/SquirePrwyden.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/242?cb=20160321041845[/t] [t]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kGv0Uoxtz04/VBkr2q1ZjgI/AAAAAAAACuk/CGFUMXaq1fI/s1600/hitler-jugend-1945-004.jpeg[/t]
Literally Hitler Youth. And like their nazi counterparts, it looks like the Brotherhood squires actively support the BoS war effort, which I think makes them a legitimate target.
On the other hand:

I'm late to the discussion, but I personally reckon that even if your Sole Survivor is the nicest guy in human history, the Institute's past actions have fucked up their reputation beyond all repair.
Given the shit they've done, I doubt that anyone would believe they'd actually pulled a heel-face turn.

Absolutely gonna still be a heavy anti synth sentiment among folks, and heavy distrust towards the Institute in general. Its silly to think any one person could integrate the Institute with the Commonwealth peacefully

Who said anything about peacefully? I have an army of terminators.

especially since the first thing you do taking over is get talked down by the rest of the people there who insist they have to make a show of force to the commonwealth.
but then bad writing 101, you don't have a choice to show the institute in a non-authoritarian light.
Who said anything about peacefully? I have an army of terminators.
As do i, Doesn't mean i'll be able to deploy them on mass. In the end they'll be stuck temperately in duties defending settlements from raiders.
Edit:
Otherwise those raiders, their camps would be settlements and there would be very little raider presence. I kinda wish this type of feature was implemented in a game like rust.

Okay, report on the abominations mod. There is indeed many crabs.
There's already mods that do that. Fallout 4 just has less dialogue that's all.
Can I get an example? I haven't seen anyone break the 4 response limit yet
There's a mod for that
It's fucked up. And hilarious.
This mod is actually really cool if you self impose some good guy rules over it. I try and have my character avoid killing the children as much as possible, instead scouting out raider groups, singling out the children and intimidating them.
Its good for some healthy roleplaying and adds a fun little challenge.
