Isn't it so that just stuffing items into the settlement inventory, taking them out and scrapping them increases the budget?

I built a 5 story housing tower in hangman's alley only for the AI pathing to never work. still looked cool though.
Since we're talking Red Rocket builds, here's mine from my last playthrough. Made possible through Scrap Everything, Place Everywhere and a mod that effectively removes the settlement budget.

What environment mod are you using?
Alternatively you could unpack OVT and overwrite, but iirc TOP covers everything OVT does already.
Yeah, but from what I hear OVT does it better so ideally I should want TOP to cover the most textures and then OVT to do a smaller amount of textures better.

See, my problem with the stupid placement standards is that I can't build a giant wall. I wanted to essentially make Egret Tours Marina one giant indoor warehouse, and I succeeded all the way up until I got around to trying to cover up the side facing the harbor and the one opposite that. I thought it'd be cool to turn that little alleyway into a nice, totally defensible, little marketplace with places to sleep on the building insides and a fenced-in farm that could be reached through a pathway build to lead out of the alley.
Instead I created the Commonwealth's largest windtunnel.
How does everybody prefer to fortify Red Rocket Stop(if you use it as a small home/base of operations like I do).
I just have a small shack house on the top of the building with a bed, storage, terminal connected to power lines and turrets watching each blind spot. Set up some walls here and there to force any invaders to expose themselves to the turrets line of sight.
I also have a doghouse for Dogmeat to chill at whenever I have to take someone else. I may or may not build some shacks for settlers and make into a full blown settlement or renovate the whole place into a fort until I get to the The Castle.
completely surrounded by concrete walls
Saw an interesting idea on reddit, involving the degredation of your character. Beard/hair growth over time, those scars/bruises from the character creator appearing after gunfights and shit with various levels of transparency.
Personally, I've always obstained from adding that stuff to my character because obviously the only way to get that done right now is to go to the hair dresser/plastic surgeon in Diamond City and go "just fuck me up" and do everything manually and that kinda ruins it for me.
Would a mod that implements stuff like this be possible? I have a total lack of knowledge about scripting in Gamebryo/Creation other than knowing that too much scripting ruins your saves and that iirc F4SE is a bit behind because they're focusing on SkyrimSE.
[editline]a[/editline]
On another note since FO4VR got brought up again, I can't wait to jump off a highway after shooting the gunners in power armor and freak myself the fuck out because I'm in VR falling from a drop that would kill me
There was something like that for Skyrim.
I believe your character even aged.
I forgot what it was called, pretty sure it was made by Gopher?
There was something like that for Skyrim.

There was a mod that made beards and hair grow over time (with shaving as well) (edit: actually two, the more popular being Five O Clock Shadow which doesn't have hair growth, and the other being SkyDye which also has hair dying), and one that increased your weight as you leveled up to represent getting stronger.
There was also one that made you fat as you ate but it was an obvious fetish mod and I think there was a really shitty mod where you could start as a kid and grow up but it was buggy and weird
I'm sure you could probably get something like these going in Fallout 4
I wish we could get a mod that changes the terrain dynamically based on the time of the year, without the need to switch manually. It's Autumn all year round, it would have been cool if you could see what the Commonwealth looks like with a blanket of snow. Seems like something that would probably only be able to be done in a completely new game, since I'm sure it's impossible, or prohibitively complicated to try.
Far as I know the closest thing for FO4 is this which *sorta* works but I find it a bit too clunky to be worth it
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15271/?
According to the creator that mod took 1700 lines of code and he was experimenting with scars and aging. That was 6 months ago so I doubt there's any hope for that.

I know it's been posted a few times, but back right after Skyrim came out, apparently Bethesda had a week where team members worked on whatever they wanted, and somehow one of them was somehow able to get it to work. A couple groups tried to make it work, but they got abandoned for whatever reasons.

Might have been a proof of concept for a secluded cell, instead of having it function properly in an actual run.
My Red Rocket.
I was sure I had a more recent image. I now have a workshop, an armory and a fusion power plant on top of the large living room you see there on the roof.
But you get the general idea.

I don't get the protectron.
It's the most retro-future robot out there. I think there were a few other retro-future items too.
But then you get assaulttrons, those big multi-legged robots, and so on and so forth, and it's a wonder why anyone bothers with protectrons.
They've gotta be, like, super cheap to justify them existing alongside the other kind of robots.

You can put a Protectron in a playground and kids will be like "yaaaaay!"
If you put a Securitron in a playground kids will piss themselves more often than usual
Also stairs

We'd need source code access in order to make this work properly.

Even robobrains have logs on them missing parts and they are either put into repairs or dismantled meaning their cost must of been instantly low for something like a robobrain to be so replaceable.
No shortage of political dissident noggins to scoop.
I love new vegas but I realllllly dont like golden geckos. Something about them ticks off my anxiety and i dont know why
Got my final mod load order working (somewhat)
Occasional "LOOKUP FAILED!" showing up in loading screen messages is getting me worried, as well as a couple of categories in settlement workshop. Few things seem to be missing from power armour entirely, namely paints, servos, actuators, shocks and some bits from jetpacks (though the packs themselves I can craft fine and they work).
The mods i've got added a few workbenches, but they seem to be working fine. Kinda iffy about having so many though.
Fuck, at this rate I might as well give up and just modify the bloody .esps myself. Balls deep into modding once again.

Edit: oh yeah, the pipboy map is also misaligned (worked fine before installing all the PA stuff oddly), and the PA hud is missing part of the suit status indicator. Can't remember rn if the mod hides it deliberately when not damaged or missing.

Yeah there's something really freaky about them and the way they charge you and get in your face that I panic if I haven't blown their head into chunks from 500m (boone best defense)
There's something off about new vegas.
They improved on everything in fallout 3. Especially writing, which I care a lot for.
It feels worse somehow.
Level design?

If you are getting "LOOKUP FAILED!!!", uninstall anything that might edit vanilla strings IE Full Dialogue Interface or anything that changes text from one thing to another.
I wonder if/when we'll get a GameJam for Fallout 4? :(
I wonder if/when we'll get a GameJam for Fallout 4? :(
Did we ever get a game jam for anything else? Its something they should show to the public more often.
I wonder if/when we'll get a GameJam for Fallout 4? :(
They had an internal GameJam during the development, since Todd thought that it would be a good idea. The power armor jet pack is one of the implemented creations. They probably won't have another public one after the Skyrim GameJam backslash.
