Whatever happened to that FPer who was making the Service Rifle from New Vegas in FO4?
Pipe weapons aren't amazing, but they can be entertaining, and at least use an ammo type that you're guaranteed a surplus of and can just wildly spam.
Bleeding .38 rapid pipe SMG is still pretty OP
Rocket-Powered World Series Bat. Few things are as cathartic as slamming a 20-foot tall Behemoth off a cliff.
Its really not that weird. Its arguably the most iconic weapon of Doom. It is also arguably the most crappy weapon of Fallout 4
I used the Sawn-Off Shotgun with all the "critical damage increase" parts. It was inaccurate and not as powerful as you might expect. But I was playing survival, so what I did was get a critical hit build. I filled the crit meter with the 10mm or similar, and then switch to the Sawn-off shotgun for a crit shot. Every "tough" (Bullet-sponge) enemy got fucked really quick. Also helps if you have a weapon with the legendary effect that cripples enemies legs, like that unique wrench. But yeah, I only knew it had such a got critical hit effect because of the "Better Weapon Mod Description" mod, otherwise I would have never know. Why couldn't Bethesda get that right? What so wrong with showing the stat numbers for weapons/armor/mods? Will it scare away the casual crowd?
Hidden stats have been a thing for a number of RPG's for quite some time now; it kind of adds to that discovery factor, you know.
Started playing FO4 again recently, I'm enjoying it more than i did before. All I have to say is "You look nice today!" :dead:
*Pipe weapons are considered garbage and garbage is not a weapon
I strongly disagree, but at the same time it's a "mods can fix it" solution so... v:v:v
I don't like the explosive effect as much because it's too noisy and visually intensive. Bleeding's just more damage but doesn't clutter the screen with ten fuckzillion explosions.
I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I love explosive pistols and sniper rifles, but find explosive ammo in anything like a shotgun or a close range smg incredibly off putting.
I thought I was the only one who felt this way. I love explosive pistols and sniper rifles, but find explosive ammo in anything like a shotgun or a close range smg incredibly off putting.
Also awful against ghouls inside buildings because of the splash damage I've blown my own legs off with the spray & pray against some ghouls at point blank
I love my explosive double-barrel. Feral ghoul hordes and mirelurks stopped being a threat once I found it, since I'd either insta-kill them or blow their legs off.
Explosive shotguns are OP. Once I found one on my first FO4 char, it was basically my only weapon until the Gauss Rifle with that legendary effect that does more damage on the first strike.
I used to love explosive shotguns but honestly they kill me faster than my enemies. For some reason it's like everyone just knows to get close to me when I pull this thing out.
I thought I was the only one who felt this way. Kneecapper/Staggering anything with a fast fire rate makes short work of a threat. Rapid Gatling Lasers with the charging barrel end up with doubled fire rate, and Never Ending ones only ever use one power core. Never Ending Missile Launchers and Fatmen are just nuts, Never Ending Laser Muskets can achieve theoretically infinite damage, and seven pieces of Sentinel armor gives you invincibility. Legendaries can be fun but outright stupid at times.
Never Ending Laser Muskets can achieve theoretically infinite damage
That's not a thing that spawns in vanilla is it how does that even work
That's not a thing that spawns in vanilla is it how does that even work
Doesn't happen in vanilla but Legendary Modification can fix that easily. As for how it works, copied and pasted straight from the fallout wiki: "The Neverending mod can make certain weapons unstable. For example, a Laser musket with the effect will consume all ammunition for the gun that is currently in the player inventory. However, as the musket uses its "energy reservoir" to store the crank charge, and this mod sets the reservoir size to the amount of ammo in your inventory, the mod effectively removes the crank limit. Since the damage of the weapon is based on how many cranks you can give it, this gives that single shot a devastating amount of damage. For example, at 200 cranks, a single shot can do about 30,000 damage."

Or just not have them because they're silly and out of place in an RPG

i never thought anything about benny from new veags until i learned he was voiced by matthew perry. what the fuck, how did he deliver the lines so poorly?
i never thought anything about benny from new veags until i learned he was voiced by matthew perry.
Fun fact, Matthew Perry got the role because he was a massive fan of Fallout 3. He said he would play it until his hands were sore from holding the controller. He gave Ellen Degeneres a signed copy of FO3 when he was on her show one time.

how do I move the overseer's desk after placing it in Vault 88 in Fallout 4? The overseer doesn't want to leave the chair, so I can't move it. nvm just melee'd her enough times to go hostile, and then yielded and quickly moved the desk before she could sit back in it.

Back out and grab the item again before the NPC sits back down in it.

I learned this when I thought to myself "Hey, what happens if I press and hold E on the origin piece of the vault I'm building?" A large framerate drop and NPCs falling from their furniture is what happens :v: Also, pics of first floor atrium and cafeteria: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/186170815309589827/4B6CC2B89752DFDAEF71C16E9664F8532416E952/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/186170815309589658/04F4404D1CAB0A8B889A73062B761A13C394063B/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/186170815309589070/14CEAA68CDBFC5FB220CC4AD60C5CEE006F646FF/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/186170815309589483/57C5D7086C0C17498B142F6F7CF8A6537AB3D3C4/[/t] [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/186170815309589315/87067AF535232773B3E79DF8B0D8371BF8DEF80B/[/t] I'm thinking about putting more furniture for NPCs to chill in the Atrium, and there will be a mini-meeting area in the common quarters area for announcements and things. what do you guys think?
I didn't have enough patience to finish building the atrium. The pieces are so temperamental, it was just annoying.
Yeah, I wish the atrium pieces were more friendly with designs that have more than 2 floors. [editline]4th January 2017[/editline] Also I found this mod to be suuuper nice for lighting. Now I don't have to spam an assortment of lights to get my vault actually lit. Here's the difference between old and new: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/186170815309589827/4B6CC2B89752DFDAEF71C16E9664F8532416E952/[/t][t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/186170815310179655/DD22FD6F4A63407C26190AE0180F2D4975F516D4/[/t] I might need to remove some lights tho.
i never thought anything about benny from new veags until i learned he was voiced by matthew perry. what the fuck, how did he deliver the lines so poorly?
Dunno, knowing that Matthew Perry was Benny before playing FNV actually made me tolerate the apathic voice acting more. After all, it's Chandler, i would never expect much from him. Plus you get to scare/kill Chandler and that's a plus. Some people argue that the bad voice acting is intentional because deep down the Chairmen are just tribals pretending to be cool cats in an awkward and forced manner but i would never give Matthew Perry that much credit. On a similar note i got sad when Jed Masterson/Lee Everett died during the beginning of Honest Hearts for the same reason.
