It's a war crime.
Have there been any mods yet to make feral ghouls look closer to their Fallout 3 and New Vegas counterparts?

Now all we need is cazadors!
Concerning the story [sp]How the hell did Kellogg make it from the west coast all the way to the northeast? I get that he's a bonafide badass and what have you but he would've crossed paths with Caesar's Legion, or what was the beginning of it if he lived during the timeline of Fallout 2 or slightly earlier.
Kind of wish there was a DLC to go deeper into his memories and see what else he saw in his travels.[/sp]

[sp]My head cannon has been Caesar sticked to the lower half of the US and that old fruit loops got over by travelling along the US-Canada border line, same as everyone's favorite tree man did (again head cannon)[/sp]

[sp]It's not like the Legion kill everyone they come across, they're a nation like any other. He probably just paid his way through like the traders who work there.[/sp]
Who ever said he had to fight Caesar? There's probably plenty of ways to get through.

Or if not Caesar then surely he would've crossed paths with some other up and coming nation states?
I feel like we could've got more out of his memories than just reusing what already exists. Bethesda had a opportunity to build more of the world and plant a few seeds to be used for later but didn't.
out of all the things in the wasteland i think nation sates are perhaps the easiest things to sidestep

Caesars legion was formed roughly the same year Shaun was taken from the vault, and it's well established that Kellogg had been working in the wasteland for several years prior
it would have been mostly tribals and the brotherhood he had to worry about, and tribals are generally poorly armed and the brotherhood will ignore you if you don't have any good tech to steal, which at the time he wouldn't have had.
It's not like there are borders either. Even if Caesar's Legion / tribals (which range from literal tribes to just towns of outcasts that resemble your regular settlement) murdered everyone that came near them, which most don't, he'd probably be able to just sidestep anything in his way.
Caesars legion doesn't go murdering every passerby they come across, only those they consider sinners.
If you are just some random passerby, they will only tell you to go and "spread what has happened here" , just like the first time you encounter them in Nipton.
Besides, I think captain crunch is the type of guy who can travel from point A to B without being noticed if he wanted to.

From that one particular memory it seemed like General Mills drifted from town to town. Over years, i could easily see him traveling as a caravan guard between major settlements until he reached the Commonwealth.
If the next thread name isn't "Fallout thread V31: Cereal brands of the Commonwealth" or something similar I am going to be dissapointed.
Im going to replay Fallout NV soon.
Any good mods you guys would recommend? I've really only played Vanilla, but I have played all the faction endings

Anything by someguy2000 (New Vegas Bounties, New Vegas Killers, the Inheritance, etc.) is top notch for questing
I've got it: "Fallout thread V31: Now with 31% extra wheat!"
"Fallout Thread v31: Shitting in the Institute's Cornflakes"

New Vegas Bounties 1-3, Russell, Weapons of the New Millennium, EVE, maybe a house mod or two if you like roleplaying or need somewhere to store your excess crap.
Can we have a mod that replaces all of Rice Krispies' voice lines to various cereal slogans? I really want to face him and hear "I'm going to SNAP! Crackle. POP! your neck!".
From now on I'm only going to resolve the confrontation with a junk jet and milk bottles.
First question: Is there a time limit in Fallout 2?
Second question: Why is it so much harder than the first one?

Because Enclave, They made the wasteland a friendly place by uniting everyone.

I'm still waiting with anticipation to see if he's gonna do anything for Fallout 4. His quests were by far the most fun I had while playing New Vegas.

If you're also wonder how long, I believe the game in vanilla has a limit of about 13 years. But there are some other instances where you have a time limit separate from that as well if I'm not mistaken. I think even after you complete the main quest it persists. I seem to remember a mod altering or removing it, but I might be wrong, since it has been a long time since I've touched Fallout 2.

I've never actually technically beaten FO1 because I saved at a bad time over my last save like a fucking idiot right near the end. I mean I technically finished most of the gameplay but I never got the experience of [sp]being kicked out[/sp]

I want to think he crossed it in a rather quick time but Lewis and Clark made it to the pacific coast after a year and six months so I can see it now.
I get that he could just expect tribals or brotherhood, but what about other mutant animals? I imagine Cocoa Puffs could've run into some midwest equivalent of a deathclaw or whatever is the top of the food pyramid if he wanted to sidestep settlements.
