Lost it a little at [sp]Mirelurk with tits and Savageclaw playing Blast Radius.[/sp]
Is there something like Skyrim's Random alternative start for Fallout New Vegas/TTW?
Or something that would let you choose your starting point/ faction like you do in S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Call of Chernobyl?
I know of and have tried Roleplayers Alternative Start Fallout New Vegas , and while it's an okay mod for roleplay purposes, I've found it to be pretty buggy, and it's not quite what I'm looking for.
All other alternatives I've found on the nexus for TTW, seems to be modified versions of the one above, and all of them seems to have bugs/kinks and not be working properly.
Anyone know of any hidden, functional gem that does what I'm trying to describe?
I don't, but given NV's startup, is it even necessary? As soon as you leave Doc Mitchell's house you are free to go your own way. Been a few times where I full-on massacred the town and went Legion, or RPed a bandit.

The faces on the redesigns are so true it hurts.
.Though I am glad my homeboy Hancock liked it.
[sp]ITS ALWAYS FUCKING GREEN EYES TOO. NEVER BLUE, NEVER HAZEL JUST GREEN[/sp]

Well if he wanted to play TTW and start in DC, he'd have to go through Fo3's intro sequence, which'd suck after the second or third time.

Wow, they actually got Courtenay Taylor to come back.
They got Wes Johnson as well, he voices the Silver Shroud and other roles.
Necessary? No not really.
But I have completed both Fo3 and Fnv way to many times, and after I played Call of Chernobyl with the random character/spawn-point options and hardcore mode enabled, I found it to be a really fresh way to go at the game.
I managed to find the needed mods for this on Skyrim, and it made me go at the game in a whole new way.
It just feels nice to start a new game, without knowing exactly how the first 1-2 hours of the game will play out.
fair enough, good points all around.
I can see why Far Harbor is seen better than Nuka World
I haven't finished it yet, but Nuka World is just missing something. It feels too freelance, there's not impending danger or anything mysterious.
Does it get better after [sp]I "capture all the parks"[/sp] ?
Oh not to mention the voice acting for the main character? Absolutely garbage. I don't know who was directing him, but they did a terrible job. Most of his inflections or emotions are out of place.
To be honest, they completely FUBAR'd the place. It had potential, it just seems they were lazy with the whole area compared to Far Harbor.
Hell it might have been a tad better if the new creatures weren't just model edits of the deathclaw, radstag, brahmin, molerats, and radroaches. That's why strangely enough, I liked the new blood worm. The ants were ok, but come the fuck on this is Fallout, they're supposed to be the size of a car! :scream:
You can't shoot through warehouse windows? what kind of bs is that

I will never forgive Bethstud for giving gulpers the deathclaw skeleton; it's way too thin for a salamander, mutated or not.
those flying ants were neat except for some reason they just one hit killed me every time
The ants were ok, but come the fuck on this is Fallout, they're supposed to be the size of a car! :scream:
They aren't referred to as Giant Ants though, just simply Ants.
still: why are they so tiny compared to everything else

First encounter with them when entering Nuka World I died just about every time on Survival. Should have taken it as a hint because an hour later I was [sp]trapped in a boss fight with a fucking water gun[/sp] and my last 3 saved games locked me out from exiting the place. Had to console command my way through that one. Felt so dirty afterwards I didn't even go back to the game.
Nuka World kind of fucks it up, but I would just do it in release order

nifty new vegas mod
I just cant stop thinking of the giant lobster van enemy from Far Harbor whenever I try to think of cool, unique shit in Fallout. That one little unmarked enemy made the DLC for me because I 100% did not see that coming. You can really tell they put a ton of love into Far Harbor, I have absolutely no idea what's going on at Bethesda other than time+budget constraints when the first half of Fallout 4 can be so incredible, but then the rest is shit. Then Far Harbor is incredible, but the rest of the DLC pales in comparison.
Far Harbor had me ridiculously optimistic for the state of Fallout 4 post-DLC. I really thought that it'd elevate the game to a whole new standard.
I really really wish they were doing more DLC. They shouldn't have done any workshop DLC and squeezed out another, tiny story DLC just to add a bit more meat. I'm still surprised we never got any spouse revival or moonbase DLC. Would have taken either of those over Nuka World.
Nuka World really isn't that bad, it would have been just fine among 3-4 more DLCs. Not as half of the season pass, basically.
I still don't know why they upped the price for the season pass when only 2 of the DLC's are actually "big" like 3 and NV's DLC's
