Fallout Thread V30: The universe where everyone is left handed

On my second run of FO4, up to level... 37? now. And when I was level 7 or so, I found one of my all-time favourite legendary weapons, an explosive pipe revolver.
Now I've got 4/5 Gunslinger, 4/4 Demolitions, plus perks put into sneak stuff so I have 4x sneak attack damage, a hefty boost to suppressed weapons. I've named it "Big Bertha" and, hoo boy, I adore her.
One thing I adore about the game is the weapon customisation and names. What are some of you folks' favourites?

That shit existed for FoNV, yes. But I don't remember the front page being plastered for months with titty mods and total garbage content like slutty outfits until recently. There are more mods for Fo4 than any other game I can think of aside from Doom or Duke Nukem, and so much of it is trash. Despite this giant bustling modding frenzy, I haven't really seen any big groundbreaking mods yet. Only a couple of months ago did some big rebalance mods come out, and there's a few overhauls of some aspects of the game, but there's hardly anything on par with Project Nevada or FROST and it's been over a year or so. I was wrong about Skyrim though, it has about the same ratio of shit to good stuff as Fo4 does.
[editline]goddamnitihatedoingthis[/editline] I went through the Top 100 Most endorsed mods of all time list for all three games on the nexus and I came up with 7-8 nude mods (not counting face textures, hairstyles, non-nude outfits, or low quality mods) for Skyrim, 8-9 nude mods for Fo4, and 4-5 for FoNV on the first 100 mods. The NV ones were way lower on the list while CBBE was #1 for FO4 and #4 for Skyrim. This is all listed via number of endorsements. Yes, I have nudity and anime mods blocked, but unblocked them temporarily to check the top mods list.
I honestly don't see why nude mods are so fucking popular. When I'm playing a game, I'm probably not in the mood for a fap while walking around Diamond City looking for adhesive. If I was, I'd pause the game, go in the overlay, and look at some titties on the internet for 15 minutes, then get back to the game. At least those (most of the time) look better than low-poly badly textured giant balloons that just don't fit the game at all.
For the record, I have 596 hours in FO4 and of those, 225 or so were modded. FoNV has 705 hours and almost all of those were modded. Skyrim is similar to FoNV with 631 hours and was also modded to hell and back for 95% of that playtime.

This shit right here is why I don't really download sex mods. Like.. I don't want tits that are bigger than a globe in my game. Or a ass that has it's own zip code. I will admit that I downloaded CBBE mainly because the default female body was pretty terrible.
Skyrim has the best quality sex mods and other lewd shenanigans.
Fallout 4's sexout add-on isn't quite there yet and even new Vegas adult oriented mods where rather shit in comparison.

NV wasn't nearly as pretty looking as fallout 4 or Skyrim though

Definitely not, I think I remember the hands in NV looking quite similar to pork crackling.
The textures where awful

for some reason this just made me really hungry
I'm having a very strange issue in FO4:

It's what should be on the ground outside the Nuka World train station thing in Nuka World itself. I've no idea what's causing it at all and I can't disable it in console.

Is it actual grass or is it just the shadows of objects? One problem in Fallout 3 and NV was ambient occlusion like SSAO shadows could get detached from objects or flicker.

I'm like 90% sure it's the actual grass and rubble that should be on the ground because when it was bright the ground looked bare.

That looks like actual grass to me. To my knowledge, that usually means someone fucked up their .esp and edited something they shouldn't have.

I've absolutely no idea what .esp could be doing it. Off the top of my head the only mod I have that has any affect on Nuka World for sure is Vivid Weathers.

Bug update:
Friend has a similar mod set up in his fallout. Said he wasn't sure how he fixed it but it was likely to be something as stupid as literally closing the game and restarting my PC.
Lo and behold the issue was fixed. I'm actually very confused right now...

Some very vague proof:

You'll have to take my word for it when I say I swear I didn't disable any mods or change my modlist in any way shape or form. I just restarted my PC.

That's exactly what I thought it was at first too, then I realised it's Fallout and it's stationary and that would be too many.

Is it bad that I thought this was a flock of birds before I zoomed in on it?

You're not the only one to say that. Read above your post a bit

welcome to fallout, the game that rng's on whether to run stable or not every day
the real question here brosef is how long have you been working on this sick bird mod and why are you cold-revealing it by lying about it
If I was working on any mod it would be a companion mod that would shoehorn myself into the game for my own personal amusement and that of some friends. Then a radio station thrown in the mix with some old Irish songs and a couple of not so old songs.
But unfortunately I'm too fucking lazy to do that and I have no means to decently record my own voice.

i honestly don't know which mod even did this
That looks cool, but you'd probably still hold it like a pistol and that's terrible

Unfortunately, that's exactly how it works. Could be fixed, but the author would probably need help from someone more experienced.
Maybe it's one of my mods, but does anybody else when venturing to Nuka World find that whenever they go to the outskirts of the parks, it starts to rain? I noticed whenever I'd venture out of the park, it seemed like more than half the time it would start raining. It happens so often I don't even know if it's normal.
Speaking of rain though, I noticed a unique effect relating to it. When you're by the Grandchester mystery mansion, I believe north there are portions of the ground that when raining, will form a flowing water stream. I'm pretty sure it's a unique effect not seen in any other parts of the game, I could be wrong there, somebody would have to fact check that. If it is unique though, it's differentiated from standard slimy ground and wet appearance characters get. It's pretty unfortunate they only used it for one area.
That looks cool, but you'd probably still hold it like a pistol and that's terrible
It looks cool but the rifle barrel isn't really flush with the pistol barrel.
It looks cool but the rifle barrel isn't really flush with the pistol barrel.
The texture on the barrel is also stretched out horizontally.
It looks cool but the rifle barrel isn't really flush with the pistol barrel.
Neither is the grip.
That pistol abomination that's reminiscent of Alyx's Gun reminds me: I'm surprised that the 10mm submachine gun didn't make a appearance in this installment of the series.
Yeah, again I'm surprised at how many weapons from previous Fallout games (hell, even 3) weren't carried over. Weapon customization while nice doesn't solve the lack of weapon variety the game seems to have.
FO4 is 0/10 because no BB Gun.
It is still really impressive how limited the gun selection in 4 is, I'd say. It's hard to say if there are even endgame weapons provided that aren't rare random legendaries like wounding miniguns and two-shot assault rifles. I mean, in 3 every character ended up carrying the Blackhawk, the Terrible Shotgun, and the Xuelong assault rifle, but at least those guns were notably useful. In New Vegas, I had different characters that didn't even ever see the same guns.
