Is it wrong that I don't actually mind the look of that Bandito gear?

The guy needs to learn how the heck a gun barrel works.
I mean I can take the Nicola 12 F3ing a SMG, but a shitty pipe gun would break the barrel die to the weight or have a bullet smash into the fucking barrel before it would hit something.
Also, those ponchos would look a lot more faded and a bit more dirty (and by that I mean Not muddy)

Is that a double-barreled, with the barrels of another double barreled wedged on the front?
A double double-barreled?
I'm actually quite impressed by the Varia Suit power armor.
It's a shame that it's inside a meme mod (and shaped for the average Nexus Bodies).
I decided to run through the whole mod because i hate fun, so here is quick review of the parts of the mod that aren't strictly skimpy outfits.
Overall? Really fucking silly, and barely able to hold itself together. 90% of the stuff still has to be crafted anyways, so he would have been better off not having made the new areas to explore.

I miss Novajam
It isn't in the subtitles, but at the end of this line the character whispers 'sorry'. I laughed because I wasn't expecting it. I've never done this option as a male character so I don't know if he says sorry either.

The male voice actor doesn't do that, unfortunately. Beyond a few lines that I don't like the sound of ("Looks like it's growing well") the female voice actor is much more into her lines.

I highly recommend picking up the pacifying perks, or at least listening to a compilation of them on YouTube. Most people pass up the pacifiying perks and there are a lot of fun lines in it.
I fucking love hearing that line, her delivery is perfect.
Guessing it might have been improv, or perhaps an outtake they decided to keep.
I know that most people here despise the Quantum X-01 armor, but it has some terrific synergy with the jet pack upgrade.
The effect cuts down on the recharge time by a fairly significant amount. Instead of waiting for it to recharge over several seconds, you're ready to go in three or four. Combine this with perks that restore AP and you can spend most of your time airborne.
In case anyone here doesn't know: when using the jet pack, if you tap the jump key instead of holding it, you can gain a very respectable amount of altitude as well as horizontal distance. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop with it is probably one of the most fun things you can try at the late game stage.
Just make sure you have lots of fusion cores, since you will burn through them rapidly using a jet pack even with nuclear physicist maxed.

They only hate it because it being supposedly Pre-War X-01 power armour is an anachronism, not because of its ability.

I am aware that it's mainly due to story reasons, but I also know that it's a pain in the ass to get and that most people will pass it up out of unwillingness to collect every single star core.
Besides, I remember reading that there may be a difference between the X-01 armor and the Advanced Power Armor developed after the war by the Enclave, but I will leave that to people more knowledgeable in the lore to discern.

X-01 is way more advanced than anything pre-war; T-51b was the best they had in regular service, and T-60 might've been a new prototype or more advanced T-45 armor or something; neither was anywhere near the level of X-01.
Also it looks very nearly identical to the FO2 spritework and the name X-01 strongly implies it's the proper name of the Advanced Power Armor MK I (as opposed to the MK II, which was suggested to be the armor seen in Fallout 3 by a terminal entry).
edit: the Quantum X-01 is probably just X-01 so it'd be useful to late game players
should've just made it a really buffed up T-51 set tho
[sp]or astronaut power armor[/sp]
I still think the lore behind T-60 power armor should have been that it was developed by the brotherhood after adams air-force base, as they integrated tech scavenged from fallen enclave soldiers into the brotherhood's own power armor.
Instead it just kinda gets dropped into the world with a few loading screens saying "Oh this? it's been there all along!, it was used before the war! we promise!".
Bethesda seems to have this weird idea that because fallout is post apocalyptic, nothing new can be developed in the present and everything- from new chems and robots, to new models of power armor- *has* to have been around since before the war.

Bethesda's approach to Fallout storytelling is a lot like a wasteland-dwelling tribal finding some technological artifact of the time before the bombs fell. It has all these intricaties and functions in the hands of those who know what it is, but to the tribal it's a shiny something with a bunch of old symbols used to keep his animal-skin tent from blowing away.

Having the T-60 be a post-war Brotherhood invention would have also made it so that there's a real reason for it to look more like the T-45 instead of the T-51. The East coast Brotherhood used T-45's so it would make sense for any power armour upgraded or manufactured by them post-war to be patterned after the T-45. Instead not only is the T-60 just dropped into the lore with no set up or even any consideration for existing lore (e.g the T-51 still being referred to as the pinnacle of pre-war PA tech in loading screens... Except now it's not all of a sudden) but it also shares more features in common with an inferior model.

It's such an obvious direction to take it
Huh if you convince Paladin Brandis to return to the Brotherhood, he joins you in the final mission.

Also, if you complete the missing food mission, knight lucia and the logistics sgt join during the walk from the airport to CIT
Just got a minigun while using the legendary farming savelock trick.
I am aiming for an explosive prefix, but is there another one which would be better? I am looking to take on very tough/armored targets.
[editline]11th May 2017[/editline]
Just got the explosive minigun, but I am leaving the autosave open in case anyone has a better idea. I will be benefitting from it due to my demolition expert perk being maxed out.

explosive minigun is pretty much a game killer in the respects that it makes everything ever a non-issue, it's also technically the best dps weapon, given it's firerate mixed with the proc, constant extremely powerful mini explosions in a hail of maintained and direct fire, the explosive/bleeding shotgun is a close second in this regard, given it's spread, but the constant stream of firepower that the minigun can put out outranks it proc wise, for both explosive and bleeding.
It's like having a mini Deathstar in the palm of your hands and everything else is Alderaan.
Just asking around to get people's opinions on a modification I was planning.
I think I asked something like this a year or two ago but it doesn't really matter. :downs:
Anyway, how do you guys feel about a mod that overhauls the weapon modification/crafting system? Adds tons of new mods, new slot/attachment points and gets rid of all the gimmicky receivers?
(The gimmicks would be on new mods instead)

Although well executed that mod idea is great, here's another idea.
There's plenty of guns, mods and ammo conversions - There really isn't ANY melee weapon overhauls.
If you could add a bunch of new melee weapons that don't look like shit and are actually REALLY mod-able (think Dead Island/Dying Light) you'd get tons of praise.
Cause who doesn't want to run around with an electric chinese sword.

the idea in my head is that it was created in the boston area and ready for use but never taken to battle, which would still let t51 be the pinnacle of fielded power armors without compromising the idea that t60 was pre-war
Revisiting Fallout 4 after a NV run and for some reason, in my latest save, my Pip-Boy radio completely stopped working. Tuning into stations does nothing but play dead air, but in-world radios still seem to work just fine weirdly.
Tried waiting and sleeping for a day but nada.

I ended up keeping the explosive minigun, and got a few ranks in the Heavy Gunner perk. Your description is incredibly apt.
The damage output is nothing short of completely insane. On very hard difficulty, I effortlessly cut down all twenty gatorclaws in Dry Rock Gulch, an additional handful of yao guai, several other exotic deathclaw variants, the entire welcoming rush of the Far Harbor critters, around fifty super mutants, double that number of high level raiders and ghouls, and of course, myself (after misjudging my firing angle and shooting a burst of ten rounds at a ledge in my face). :v:
I have already destroyed the Prydwen for the Institute in my playthrough, but I am eagerly anticipating my next encounter with a vertibird and some T-60b equipped paladins.
Replaying Fallout 1 (I never actually finished it, usually gave up around the Hub), I forgot weapons have a minimum strength requirement.
I tried to min-max my stats so hard that I dropped STR to 2, because why would I need it, right? I can just use my companions as pack mules anyway.
Well, as I found out eventually, companions are so half-baked that trading equipment is literally bartering.
I made my playthrough hellish. I had to take buffout to just be able to put the power armor in my inventory, and up until now even the 10mm pistol would roll terrible damage because of my poor strength, lol.
I'm too far in, I won't restart.

I've already planned to let you stick machete blades into boxing gloves, don't worry. Melee will be taken care of :toot:

i always just go heavy in luck and agility and combat usually fine because of action points, sequence and crits.
