I want to replay Fallout 4 again and I wonder if someone of you knows about a mod that somehow lets you wear both an invisible armor for the stats and visible clothes without stats. Like in Terraria where you have decoration armor slots to override the visible armor. Because there is so much unique looking clothing in the game you (or at least I) never wear since it is not as useful as some armor. I mean did anyone really ever played the game as seen in the trailer?
As soon as you get ballistic weave, armor becomes practically irrelevant. But speaking of mods that make the game nicer to play in the long run, there's this one which removes health level scaling, removing the bullet sponge problem from enemies and normalizing gameplay for the player. Combined with any mod that lets you ballistic weave anything, you can play a pretty strong character without having to don full heavy armor, and still be at enough risk to keep the game fun.
which removes health level scaling, removing the bullet sponge problem from enemies and normalizing gameplay for the player
Always thought the RPG element was about you becoming tougher than anyone else and not the other way around - pretty dumb how humans can take more than 2 bullets of any mid-high caliber to the head and live. Mutants and creatures okay, but the strength of raiders should be numbers and AI. There's no reasonable way to explain this kind of resilience, which could be perfectly integrated with the use of chems, helmets and heavy armors..mini bosses among the fodder, if you will. Now, having a skinny-ass ragged junkie take a .50 cal to the teeth from a block's length, only to run towards me with a switchblade...
i always just go heavy in luck and agility and combat usually fine because of action points, sequence and crits.
I mean, it's playable. I have 10 luck, 10 agi, 10 int, and 8 perception. The carry weight and "you are not stron enough to use this" have been really annoying. I put jinxed on top of it all for laughs.

I really liked the mechanic as it gave STR a purpose besides carry weight and unarmed damage, if you want to carry a big gun then you better be bigger than that gun.

I think the STR requirement system would work better if it wasn't applied to literally every weapon in the game but only to weapons that actually would feasibly require a strong body to carry. Like it's really odd how there's apparently enough weight difference between a revolver and a 10mm pistol that a man of somewhat weaker than average build would struggle to even lift one up to a target using both hands. And it's also really odd that weapons you'd expect to require higher strength for proper usage (such as throwing weapons) all have a strength requirement of 1 - except the tomahawk which has a requirement of 3 for fuck all reasons.
if i was making a fallout style game (which i really want to do when i finish this semester), i would have str requirements on every weapon, however it would work a little differently. 1-2 str difference would reduce accuracy by 15% (lowered by 0.25% for each point of agility), lower crit chance by 30% and increase crit failure chance by 10%, 3+ str difference would gain an extra 2% to each chance and deal self damage when used which can be mitigated by armor class. [editline]13th May 2017[/editline] and i would include a perk with a few ranks for low str, high agility builds that reduces the effects of str requirements.

Picking up a .50 BMG Rifle is one thing, but firing it standing is something else entirely.
Another Overhaul was released by Dragbody, this time for the brotherhood. [t]http://pre06.deviantart.net/7a48/th/pre/f/2017/132/7/0/bosreforged_by_dragbody-db90ngu.jpg[/t] http://www.gunetwork.org/t13746-fnvrel-bos-reforged-drag-s-bos-overhaul

Is Apprentice Watkins motherfucking Sherry Birkin?
really makes me with fallout 1 and 2 were playable on mac. when this semester is over i'm putting windows back on my pc and marathoning all the fallout games.
But doesn't Dosbox have a Mac port?

Do you know how long Bubsy the Bobcat has been out of work? Last I heard he was doing after-dinner speaking and even that's falling through.
Oh for fu- seriously? Can't be bothered fixing them up, just gonna replace them with characters from different games instead, yeah that's good.
The way I see it, all it does is mean more video game characters as races you can select, so I could reapply the original Bishop texture, and play through DUST or something as my boy Lance Henriksen. Besides, he's been doing this for various factions, so eventually all semi important NPCS will be various game characters, so I suppose if you get all of them it will be a bit less jarring.
But doesn't Dosbox have a Mac port?
i'm spoiled from the steam versions working right out of the box. i forgot about the old ways of patching fallout 2 and running it through dosbox.
Especially if you don't recognize the where the models come from, like Sherry and Bishop were the only two that really stood out to me and I could immediately place from that selection up there. Edit: Whoops, my merge.
I am planning on restarting a raider warlord playthrough, and while I am more than thrilled to reach for my trusty AK and start conquering, the raider base building has me concerned: The singular problem that cripples the raider outposts is a constant lack of food. This is rectified by either having members of the outpost farm (lowering happiness) or subduing a different settlement to supply yours as a vassal. Enslaving settlements is fun and all, but problems arise if there are no nearby settlements with settlers to enslave. This leads to the perplexing situation where you build up settlements specifically to enslave them later, all the while more and more raiders show up and erode away your food reserves. While the theme of being a slaver warlord is appealing, it seems highly counter intuitive that I would have to do almost double the amount of work to ensure that these raider outposts are properly built and supplied. Why Bethesda didn't simply allow you to enslave people with collars or use robots to farm on the raider outpost is beyond me. Are there any mods that fix this?

Anyone ever play Fallout Online Reloaded? I got back into it an am currently making bank slaving people. 2 players found me, accidently burned me to death in an encounter, then gave me 1000 caps back at the Den. They wanna do caravan runs with me once I hit level 9. :D
Good thing I don't know any of these characters so they dont bother me.
Yeah I was wondering why people were rating it funny, I genuinely thought it looked really good. :v:
I think someone asked the other day but I didn't see any responses. Anyone know if there's a mod that enables robot settlers to be vendors? I want my own Takahashi but I haven't been able to find any on my own
Yeah I was wondering why people were eating it funny, I genuinely thought it looked really good. :v:
I mean one the Morrowind mods, for example. Has bunch of celebrity faces and video game characters replacing the default faces, Kinda funny at times. You're running in the abandoned tomb and Morgan Freeman is at the end wearing cornrows.
