I've heard turning off Cloud sync for save files can potentially boost load times. Plain ol' ENBoost might help too.

Alt-tabbing is a big chance, though. Most of the time I come in just fine, but one every five times it makes a gap down the right side of my screen, squeezing the HUD. Hell, sometimes the HUD and GUI get squashed into a tiny resolution in the upper left of my screen, whereas the world and the gun is shown normally.
Just had my second ever crash in like 238 hours of Fallout 4. First one was like yesterday or the day before when a behemoth smashed my character's head out through his ass, today I was merely fast travelling to the old church where the Railroad hide. No idea what's causing this shit that's happening lately.
Run loot and fo4edit if you have mods. I have like 120 and I haven't crashed a single time besides for hardware issues.

Loot doesn't say jack other than "You have not sorted your load order this session." and I don't have fo4edit

You know, always keep back up stock incase the first sells out.
The railroad puzzle was kind of underwhelming. I wish developers would make challenging puzzles instead of just the narrative idea of a puzzle. There's no risk of hurting your players because the internet is a thing, those who don't want to figure it out can just google it.
i liked following the red line, even if it was babby's first clue.
It kinda makes me wonder how many people followed that trail and how many people died trying to get into the Railroad.

tbh i made a wrong turn the first time i tried following it, stopped giving a fuck, and proceeded to dick around in the rest of the world until i decided to get back into the main quest.

I've been trying out the mod Maxwell's world for the last while and so far it feels underwhelming and I don't quite know why. Could be the lack of ambient music as I venture around, the lack of a map to know where I'm going or the frequent lack of/slowly updating compass markers to add to the issue of no map. Overall it feels like I'm going around the place doing stuff with not much happening in between and a story I'm just not getting in to. I'll admit I'm still near the start but there's nothing that's grabbed my interest.
