What about something like the stock on some WH40k plasmaguns (but a bit smaller) as a short or lightweight stock or something? [t]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/warhammer40k/images/6/6e/PlasmaGun.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130303230019[/t]
Yeah maybe something like that, though a shorter stock means different idle animations (tons of work) unless you're OK with floating stock syndrome I will probably end up doing some kind of padded stock, but gyrojets were renowned for having little to no recoil (not sure if the game changes when you're dealing with such huge rounds though). Funny how the 40K bolters are basically gyrojets on steroids
Depending on how you want it to look, I'd suggest something like the recharger rifle or other such energy weapons. I think you should go for a bit of colour too in the texture as well, like a painted red to give it that rocket-like scheme of red rocket and such. Make it a lovely retro-future paint scheme.
Ah thanks but I'm probably going with a similar material scheme to the concept; [t]https://i.gyazo.com/ff178aec2fc4f00a453a45231b12e316.jpg[/t] Slightly bronzed metal with a 'prototype' look to it, bare and weathered with lots of screws showing and some wood on the side to give an antique feel. Want the weapon to feel dangerous in many senses - the stock on the recharger rifle does look interesting though, maybe a bit too unorthodox for a ballistic weapon. edit: that said, material swaps do exist. I might do a red painted version Tell you what, I'll post a few stock types I thought I might go with; [t]https://i.gyazo.com/685a6003ba23504eac47daf07ffb08c5.jpg[/t][t]https://i.gyazo.com/1f0827f3c27a26aac82b78f7b20c272c.jpg[/t][t]https://i.gyazo.com/387fb049589a54a445eeb57d3f9dd57f.jpg[/t] Sythetic, wood and some kind of weird prototype-looking stock, which I actually really like. Synthetic might be a bit too modern, the wood one will likely work as a lightweight stock
Honestly i'd much rather more fallout games over more elder scrolls. Yeah it's been awhile since we had a real new TES but the fantasy market is so oversaturated compared to whatever you consider fallout.

As for recoil, nothing wrong with a little artistic licence right? 40k its self already does it with bolters. Unless your intention was to have it function authentically and have low recoil that is.
Posted the gyrojet on the nexus for the first time. Bit more updated than page 1 of this thread, so check it out if you want! Anyone have any decent ideas for stock variants that are different from a wooden stock?
I'd add some sort of lightweight/wire frame stock like the M1 Carbine paratrooper stock [t]http://www.thespecialistsltd.com/files/M1_Carbine_Paratrooper.jpg[/t]

Going to go for a similar rpm as the M60
I'd add some sort of lightweight/wire frame stock like the M1 Carbine paratrooper stock [t]http://www.thespecialistsltd.com/files/M1_Carbine_Paratrooper.jpg[/t]
Looks cool, but bear in mind the gun is incredibly blocky, so the wires won't be as thin as that. Might do two wires or something? Can make it work [t]https://i.gyazo.com/5b90bb31b2fbe8aec9c26999c2f311a9.png[/t] Also pictured; the beginnings of an AA sight
I wouldn't mind seeing more energy weapons. It seems like everybody and their grandma is doing nothing but 1911's and m16's.
So this might just be my weird hangup, but is anybody else bothered that the pipboy doesn't tell you the day of the week anymore?
I wouldn't mind seeing more energy weapons. It seems like everybody and their grandma is doing nothing but 1911's and m16's.
I think most people just find normal guns to have more of that cool factor which energy weapons kinda lack. Not saying energy weapons aren't cool, just that their less interesting to most people.
I'm surprised there isn't a beam cutter tool/weapon (that totally isn't a light saber I promise) in the game
like a laser knife? because im totally sure theres something like that in old world blues
If there is one thing I absolutely despise in any of the recent bethesda games it's the god damn obsession they have with randomized loot in literally every container. Clutter and enemies I can understand. But safes should not be random. It doesn't even take that long to remove the random factor for dungeon/locked chests and tailor them instead, it takes so little effort there's like half a dozen full fledged mods dedicated to it just for Skyrim.
I honestly wouldn't mind seeing more variety in terms of chests and and other stuff
I'm surprised there isn't a beam cutter tool/weapon (that totally isn't a light saber I promise) in the game

like a laser knife? because im totally sure theres something like that in old world blues
The Proton Axe is sort of this as it isn't so much of a laser blade as one fully made of electricity.
Proton Axe was probably one of my favorite melee weapons. That or the sword that was made out of a bumper.
Ballistic Fist represent
i'm a sucker for the rebar club myself.

I don't think anybody really wants to because it actually requires work.

Is there a mod for NV that adds markers above quest targets, similarly to FO4? I'm talkin these little things
You mean like this?
Single favorite weapon in the entire franchise with the skeleton liberation device™ being a close second.
Single favorite weapon in the entire franchise with the skeleton liberation device™ being a close second.
Oh yeah, that gun!
Single favorite weapon in the entire franchise with the skeleton liberation device™ being a close second.
Probably This Machine I'd wager, or the Terrible Shotgun as a close second
My favorite wep has to be the Brush Gun.
Dead money was very jarring for me at first. Going from endless player freedom and aimless wandering to tight streets with hazards you had to avoid in a timely fashion was a bit shitty for me at first, but once the ball got rolling and I started meeting ghost people and characters I started having loads of fun.
God damn that .38 revolver Now whenever I see a .38 revolver or anything that resembles it (like a colt positive .32) I get Dead Money flashbacks and I feel irritated at remembering how many shots those little punks took to die

Is there a mod yet that adds in-world quest markers for that giant fetch quest in Nuka World?
Is there a mod yet that adds in-world quest markers for that giant fetch quest in Nuka World?
Maybe one of these? I'm just about to start NW now, so I can only assume. Yeah that looks right
Snip-O
Honestly, It's kinda the same with Fallout New Vegas but there was a truth someone once said on that subject and they simply said it was easier to model an existing item than to design it. On that subject, I wouldn't mind seeing recreation of weapons from Fallout New Vegas like the recharger pistol as it was mighty useful.
Oh, cool. This might actually make me use cooking stations more. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12104/? [t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/12104-0-1484470827.gif[/t] [t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/12104-0-1484462784.gif[/t]
