Honestly, It's kinda the same with Fallout New Vegas but there was a truth someone once said on that subject and they simply said it was easier to model an existing item than to design it. On that subject, I wouldn't mind seeing recreation of weapons from Fallout New Vegas like the recharger pistol as it was mighty useful.
It feels like that in general with Bethesda games. Everybody wants to take the easy route and not actually create something that looks better than whatever people are putting out
The blue tape has started a duct tape mod frenzy. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21346/? [t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/21346-0-1484564795.jpg[/t] http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21350/? [t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/21350-0-1484572361.png[/t] Geddit? "Sex tape"? Har har.
They will never be the OG kush Blue Tape. I have started something I never intended for. How do I stop it?
Remember the t-shirt phase? The group that can be labeled "Nexus modders" might often be talented and creative but they tend to dogpile onto bandwagons and turn things into stale memes for the sake of endorsements.
Oh, cool. This might actually make me use cooking stations more. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12104/? [t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/12104-0-1484470827.gif[/t] [t]https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/12104-0-1484462784.gif[/t]
I admire the amount of work this guy puts into his mods for the level of immersion alone. To be more specific, he has features on his workstation and other settlement object mods where you can toggle who can interact with it (settlers, followers, player only, etc) to help keep settlers out the player house or for whatever other reason. The fact that bethseda couldnt think off having that as a feature in the workshop interface is kind of bothersome for how simple of an idea it is.
Any good mods that disable the requirement to use ironsights? I really find having to use them in this game annoying. I like how Wolfenstein TNO does it. You can hipfire perfectly fine but there are ironsights available for if you really want them.

Just had the thought for a mod I can hopefully make one day. Basically merchants can have expanded stock or access to more items relevant to their designated products by having a relevant crafting station nearby. For example, more cooked food items from a food vendor if a stove, spit, or other cooking station is nearby. With doctors, a chemistry station nearby would allow them to offer combination chems (if they dont already, if they do then just a more diverse selection). An added kick would be to be able to assign the bench to a store, and have the merchant occasionally use it. Alternatively, assign the bench to the store, then assign another settler to the bench (kind of like a laborer working for the merchant).
At least classic FPS hip-fire is an option now unlike how in 3 and even New Vegas basically none of your shots would hit a target that way and only on a blue moon they would, forcing you to either constantly hold M2 or decide to rely heavily on VATS. I can't be the only one who noticed that Project Nevada and other mods that made recoil and spread more "realistic" only made that problem even worse.
Does anyone know any good FO4 quest mods? Trainwiz' Shuddersome Railways and Ransacked Relays was fun and I'm looking for more minor area type deals. I've already installed Ellen.
It would be cool if someone made a random raider base generator. We could redo fallout 1 and 2 by making some sort of travel system that uses that. Either that or the impossible dream of an actual conversion, but that would need to take many liberties with placement. I mean, look at this, it's huge: [t]http://games.thehawkonline.com/fallout/fallout2/maps/f2-worldmap.png[/t]
"Huge" doesn't really apply when you can't actually see most of the map and it's basically just a glorified menu with slightly more waiting.
"Huge" doesn't really apply when you can't actually see most of the map and it's basically just a glorified menu with slightly more waiting.
Yeah, it's one thing to have your game world rendered and all, it's another if you're going from specific locale to specific locale with random but pre-scripted events along the way. The only way to theoretically recreate that in the modern FO games would be to essentially do the same thing via a bunch of isolated cell areas that the player travels between via some scripted map screen, except you'd probably need a lot of skyboxes for horizons and all due to the 3D perspective.
So I used the Homemaker trading caravan post in The Castle and suddenly every named merchant is inside and I don't know what to do.
So I used the Homemaker trading caravan post in The Castle and suddenly every named merchant is inside and I don't know what to do.
What? You mean the ones that have the Bunker Hill merchants? Also I've never seen this homemaker piece so I'm even more confused.
Sorry; but there is no way to beat automatron without cheating on very hard. that shit sucks
What? You mean the ones that have the Bunker Hill merchants? I also have that bug, but I decided to stop paying attention to the 4+ bhramin that stockpile in a single entity
Sorry; but there is no way to beat automatron without cheating on very hard. that shit sucks
If you have master level hacking (rank 3) you can gather up the voice files for the override of the lift which goes into the back of the Mechanist's Lair. This lets you skip the fight at the end and a small amount of fighting leading up to it. Other than that there aren't really any easier ways to go about things. Maybe build an OP robot and have it do most of the fighting as your companion.

I imagine all you'd need for automatron's final battle is a plasma rifle, plenty of jet/psycho-jet, an overdrive, and a load of stimpacks for good measure. A combat rifle would probably still get the job done too. Most bipedal robots will be fucked if you cripple even one of their legs. I think even a basic plasma rifle under the effects of overdrive and jet slowdown will still be incredibly potent even with very hard's damage reduction. But since you're playing on very hard, you still shouldn't be having trouble since you can heal incredibly fast if you stack stimpacks. Whenever you take loads of damage, just go into the pip-boy and take like 5 or 6 stimpacks at once and you'll heal very fast once you leave the menus.
What? You mean the ones that have the Bunker Hill merchants? Also I've never seen this homemaker piece so I'm even more confused.
Yes, that one.
The Mechanist battle isn't hard at all. Just long winded and irritating. Especially if you can hack robots, just run up to each of them and shut them down. Avoid self destructing them as they will just charge at you. And don't forget to be the Silver Shroud during all of it. I'll just say it makes you OP.

But the rest are like cannon fodder
I'm thinking about replaying New Vegas for no reason in particular
I've changed my mind.
You can still convert the mod, I'm sure it'll work in New Vegas. [editline]edit[/editline] And like you were going to be playing the game anyway, that mod is pure fetish fuel, hell I can't believe it's even on the Nexus, I'd have thought that sort of shit was more Loverslabs thing :v: [editline]edit[/editline] Then again I suppose the Nexus back in the day wasn't really against more exotic mods, Oblivions modding community was a freaking minefield of weird shit.
https://facepunch.com/showthread.php?p=51442432#post51442432
I'm fairly sure that counted as cheating
I'm fairly sure that counted as cheating
I think it adds to the fight tbh, less cheating and more accidental feature. You with your army of robots vs the mechanists army of robots. [editline]edit[/editline] Plus you still have to invest in those robots and that shit aint cheap.
Actually surprised there hasn't been a reference to Attack of the 50 Foot Woman yet what with how giant insect and arthropod movies have been getting all the love since the first entry of the series.
