Fallout Thread V30: The universe where everyone is left handed

Speaking of New Orleans, I'm still worried about that.
If it turns out that the next Fallout game by Bethesda is New Orleans I'm gonna be disappointed, cause I'll get the distinct feeling that that means every sequel is just gonna be whatever city the fans all pick to gang up behind and speculate about for years.
Didn't want Boston, don't want New Orleans, and I won't want Chicago or Philadelphia if people pick that next either. I am firmly attached to the West, 'cause the West is the place with the story and setting I actually care about.
If it was up to me, I'd either pick Phoenix, AZ, Seattle, WA, or Portland, OR. Or, alternatively, go back to California altogether. I'd be down for a whole game set in New Reno, now that we could depict it with more than just isometric pixel art.
I say let bethesda have the east coast and let obsidian keep the west coast.
Despite it also being my favourite setting, I'd be happy to never have a game set in the west again unless either obsidian makes it, or bethesda really bucks their ideas up.
Id be more satisified wity Bethesda keeping the east coast if they could just get their shit together, especially story wise.
I honestly believe that both DC and Boston were great locations to base their games in as they could have a lot of potential. It's just a shame that Bethesda didn't really take advantage of it and failed to make any really interesting conflicts/factions.

I think the next beth game should be in florida. Instead of having one of the theme parks be dlc, they could be built into the vanilla game, but be completely separate from the main story. Tbh i was disappointed that you couldn't really go on any of the rides at nuka world, even after restoring power.

It would be interesting to see what they would do. They could have different factions occupying different theme parks that all have rivalries with each other(holy shit have religious zealots in Holy Land). Then the main neutral faction hub could be based out of the Orlando convention center. I think it would be neat to see my town too, or at least to see how they condense it down into 5 buildings. There are just large expanses of nothing too, they could probably fit a bunch of other stuff in there as well.

I feel like within that space theres enough they could do. Hell, Lake Apopka's already shitty and irradiated.

As long as they don't pull a Fallout 4 and make the lake take up a huge chunk of the map with absolutely nothing there.

If they were to do Orlando I feel they'd just cut the map off around 429 and turn Lake Butler into some Point Lookout type swamps.
The Elder Scrolls thread thinks the exact opposite of this :v:
i hate to bring up melee again, but i understand people's concerns about TES melee.
the thing is, despite how janky it is, how bare bones it is, it works. it functions. there's pretty much no strategy involved, but you can fight with it.
the problem with FO4 melee isn't really how the player does it, it's more how everything else reacts and plays with it. the player is so fucking fragile while attacking, any enemy can tap you with their gun and knock you straight out of your attack, whereas in Skyrim your attacks were only cancelled (i.e. stopped dead, no connection) if an enemy used a shield bash, which they generally don't do too often. again, to contrast, in FO4 a single melee attack can knock you out of yours, every enemy has access to one and they will use it the picosecond you close into melee range
what's really tragic is that when the melee does work, it feels great. when you crack a raider across the head with a baseball bat, it feels like you've just smashed all of his teeth in. in skyrim, you don't get the same sort of feeling, the crunching of bones or tearing of flesh.
as another user mentioned, all that would need to be done was to make the player less fragile when taking hits, perhaps relegating stagger to power attacks, heavy/slow weapons and power armoured folks, as well as making blocking overall less effective for enemies. i don't know how you could achieve this, but i think it could be done .. somehow.

Mutant alligators, fuck yeah.

I figured the Clermont area would be good to have since its hilly and it would keep the entire map from being flat as fuck. Also I think if they cut it off at 429, the map would end up being smaller than FO3. Unless they added more stuff east of Orlando, but theres really nothing there either unless they wanted to put in UCF.

I wouldn't put it past Bethesda to bring the Fallout Tactics 2 plot about a corrupted GECK popping out man-eating plants and giant mutant swamp life back. But have the sea-levels risen in Fallout? I want to say they should have, but I don't think there's much evidence of it in the games. If it had, I think Florida would be pretty well underwater, along with much of Georgia. Of course, more of Boston and DC would be too, so...

Parts of Boston are partially flooded, and there's numerous changes to the coastline (though at least some of these are probably due to whatever seismic activity fucked up the landscape everywhere). It seems to have happened, at least a little bit.

I'll be honest, I'd really like to play as a guns akimbo in a Fallout game, but I can totally see this never happening

I guess cities like Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville would be flooded, but Orlando might be ok? if Boston or DC arent completely underwater, I dont think all of Florida would be.
A DLC that took place in St Augustine would be really cool though. Could have the the Castillo de San Marcos and Flagler College and the historic district. I think it would be neat.

As much as I enjoy the concept of post-apoc Disney World, I think something like the original EPCOT would be cooler.

While everyone else is going "aw man dual fat mans" I'd be using a sword/sawn-off combo.

It would be funny if they did that and did like Robocop and made EPCOT like Delta City and Orlando was a complete shithole overrun with crime.
Two SMGs playthrough, best playthrough.
We might have already had it in NV:

Nothing ever came out of that though.

that would fit with fallout's narrative so much better too. like your home in fallout 4 is a planned community itself, we have seen similar dream complexes in other games

The Nexus is getting out of control. For once, with the hot files we get a full screen dick. No titties, no pussies, but a banner size cock, albeit unerected.
So the guy who made the gundam power armor mod is going the extra distance it looks like.

I wonder if he's going to add all the gundams from the anime shows
Well if he sticks to UC he has a couple hundred moblie suits,
if he goes to all the gundam universes that is a couple thousand mobile suits,
if he stuck to specifically gundams as in just gundams themselves that appear in TV and OVA and movies that would be more manageable but he would still have to deal with the mess that is G gundam and that is a lot of gundams.

Seriously doesn't translate well into Fallout 4.
Also what's with Asian mechs having giant calves and feet? It looks really dumb.
