I'm still waiting for them make more varied enemies.
But there's so much variety! -Bloodthirsty psychopath -Bloodthirsty Supermutant -Bloodthirsty Normal Mutant -Bloodthirsty ghoul -Bug
Honestly there are worse things in the game then that. Like whatever dude its a pile of rocks in a shooting gallery
yeah, the shooting gallery aspect of the whole world design is far more egregious than anything to do with the environment.
But there's so much variety! -Bloodthirsty psychopath -Bloodthirsty Supermutant -Bloodthirsty Normal Mutant -Bloodthirsty ghoul -Bug
Hey, there are more than just bugs. There are also bloodthirsty bugs. [t]http://cdn2.twinfinite.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/bloodbug-1000x600.png[/t]
What do you guys think of this? http://fraghero.com/rumor-fallout-new-vegas-2-details-leaked-reveal-planned/
Hey guys, I'm making the sights for my plasma caster and I need some ideas [t]http://i.imgur.com/8GJIGVP.png[/t] The part highlighted in red is what the sight is attached to and the bit on the bottom is where it is mounted. But I'm struggling to come up with some nice looking designs for it If anyone is kind enough to put forth some ideas I'd be really grateful, even if it's a shitty mspaint drawing
I think a good sort of reflex sight for it could be one that looks like the HUD on a jet. [t]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/54/a5/7c/54a57cc91b336ef3dac343aad750a055.jpg[/t] Just a simple two metal arms with a piece of glass sloped towards you. Make the metal arms curved, and blade like to match the overall theme of the plasma caster, and make the reticle green (because plasma, obv). Not too sure about scopes, but since it's a heavy weapon it doesn't really seem right to put them on. I love the look of it though, it's a lot nicer to look at than the car battery with a fondue fork welded on it that was in New Vegas.
Ghouls and Mirelurks were cool to face against this time around due to their differing strategies. Stingwings felt too much like Cazador-lite and weren't much of a threat oddly enough. Wish Floaters could make a return and still have a weakness to flame based attacks and resistance to electricity, along with weird levitating mutated flatworm battle tactics (or whatever else animal they would want to base it on this time).
I still can't get over how fast the ghouls fucking fling themselves at you. Still catches me off guard.
I still can't get over how fast the ghouls fucking fling themselves at you. Still catches me off guard.
My only gripe with Ghouls in FO4 is feral ones all look like water logged, bloated corpses while all the sane ones look like people with a special body texture. It'd be nice to see a mix on both sides with some ferals look like regular ghouls in some armor bits and maybe some "ratty" armor variant and some sane ghouls look like the bloated corpses.
Haven't picked the game up in more than a year and I completely forgot how addicting the settlement building elements can be. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/FvtXlr2.jpg[/thumb] [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/wqz2yqC.jpg[/thumb] Three stories high and sleeps fourteen, but I haven't even put the radio tower up yet.
I wonder if it is possible to take the capital wasteland and port it to F4 with new textures and lore n shit.
Aside from maybe project nevada, what are some totally essential and/or great ass mods to use for Tale of Two Wastelands?
Kind of discouraged from posting these here since nobody has left a reply when I'm asking for critique or ideas and it feels a bit hopeless but here you go, it's pretty much finished just needs a few touch-ups here and there, as well as some textures [t]http://i.imgur.com/lX84Y0r.png[/t] album here
Late to the party, just wanted to chime in to say this looks amazing. One thought: assuming you're planning on some weapon mods, maybe consider one mod without the wings/blades for a more "realistic" weapon look? Or, alternatively, a mod that replaces the wings with meaner looking blades like in the minigun mod?
But there's so much variety! -Bloodthirsty psychopath -Bloodthirsty Supermutant -Bloodthirsty Normal Mutant -Bloodthirsty ghoul -Bug
I mean.. To be fair, you can summarize the types of enemies you'll encounter throughout the whole series pretty easy, and doing so makes it seem like there isn't much variety at all. It's pretty much always been hostile humans with varying levels of equipment, robots, mutated humanoids, mutated animals and insects, and the occasional mutant abomination that doesn't exactly fit into either animals or insects.
New Vegas didn't have much enemy variety, at least not when wandering around. -Fiends/Jackals/Vipers -Geckos -Deathclaws -Cazadores Everything else is either too rare to consider or only becomes your enemy when you choose to piss them off.
The NCR
Excuse me but you misspelled The Legion.
Plus the other basic enemies: Ants Radscorpions Molerats Turrets Robots Bloatflies
With those lot, I can only think of one spot where those appear and I'm not sure they come back after you kill them once. I did forget Nightstalkers though, but so did you.
New Vega is mostly filled with people, but they took the time to give those people context, and different ways to interact with beyond raider/green raider with lasers and robots/gangster raiders with ghouls. Actually, now that I think about it, thanks to Automatron, we have two factions of green raiders with lasers and robots.
Excuse me but you misspelled The Legion.
But the NCR have better armour and weapons so you have to kill them.
I did forget Nightstalkers though, but so did you.
I think everyone wants to forget nightstalkers
Besides Enclave, Institute and I guess BOS.. is there even a faction that uses energy weapons and such?
Besides Enclave, Institute and I guess BOS.. is there even a faction that uses energy weapons and such?
Is that not enough?
Is that not enough?
No.
Besides Enclave, Institute and I guess BOS.. is there even a faction that uses energy weapons and such?
Well if you want some examples, here are some from New Vegas, minor suppliers (Or major since they are the main suppliers in the Mojave for energy weapons) like the Van Graff family, the Fiends use energy weapons, though obviously not to the level of those stated particular factions as the weapons they obtain are looted and rare and you'll usually only find one or two with an energy weapon and the others will be using bullet based weaponry or hand to hand weapons. The Bright Brotherhood, the Ghouls who want to go to space use energy weapons, recharger lasers in particular, I'm sure there are more I'll think of later on.
Pictures of people's settlements are neat and all but I like video walkthroughs, so I did one of my place.
Besides Enclave, Institute and I guess BOS.. is there even a faction that uses energy weapons and such?
Zetans.
Energy weapons being a special class of weapons has always made sense to me. They're the cutting edge of the Fallout universe, after all. Of course there'd be less of them since they're that much more expensive to maintain and only just recently began development before the bombs fell. I think the way it's worked up until this point makes sense from most angles you could look at it. Makes sense they're rare, makes sense there's less varieties of them, and makes sense that not many factions use them.
Actually, Laser weapons were produced before the great war, the Wattz 2000 laser rifle, as an example was mass produced and developed before then. (Which bothers me because it never fucking show's up because Bethesda) It's the AER9 laser rifle that's the more rarer and more powerful variety of which was produced and manufactured and issued to select military units, both domestic and foreign, the U.S Military was already preparing for the full-scale deployment of the AER9 as the standard weapon platform for the entire military and given the number of AER9's in circulation, I think they did actually produce enough, but, that's however, when the bombs dropped, eventually over time the places that were producing the AER9's were looted and that's why Laser weapons are "rare" but not rare enough that it's impossible to get one, the AER9 was also designed to be easy to maintain because the U.S military built it to be a sturdy, reliable weapon, instead focusing on ruggedness and usability over performance, while some of the components might be a tad hard to get, this thing was built to last. So while not every faction is going to be kitted out in Energy weapons sure, they aren't so rare that it's not impossible for it to happen. [editline]edit[/editline] Also, technically speaking we could have more variety if we bring in other manufacturers from other countries that perhaps worked on other energy weapons, like the Gauss Minigun that was developed by the Chinese, it would certainly be interesting to get some different rarer varieties in that regard, like as an example here, it would be neat to find a old Chinese spy ghoul or whatever, who's given up having lived through the end of the world and decided to just live life now, forgetting the horrid past and he has one of those rare as fuck Gauss Miniguns as a reward for doing a quest or whatever.
Do you have enough deathclaw heads?
No, the two walls either side of them are bare. Those need to be filled, too.
Most of the humanoid enemies in New Vegas you can negotiate with. Fiends (at least somewhat), some super mutants, Powder Gangers, and Khans namely. You can walk up to almost any NPC in the game and expect to either initiate dialogue or get a warning to stay back. In FO4 it's a bullet to the face from almost any random NPC you encounter outside of a town. You aren't talking to a single Gunner, just their mini nukes.

You should come join us here: https://discord.gg/sxRpUUm if you want some more instant feedback and all that. I have to ask do you plan on adding mods to it?
