Following up on earlier, since I'm home now, take a look at this comparison between Millennia's C96 and the real deal and you'll see what I mean about not being able to play with it: I have nerve damage in my left hand so holding the camera stable was kind of a challenge, sorry :v:
And keep in mind a lot of the stronger guns in FO3 and NV (moreso in 3, iirc) had a really bad recoil animation where they would kind of slowly move back into place after firing, giving them the same if not more delay after firing.
I can agree with 3's animation being a bit poor, but NV nailed it down with the recoil. It gives the weapon a lot of feedback that makes it feel like a powerful pistol. By the way, that's how recoil works. Fast kick back, then a slow return to target. That's why I have a lot of beef with hitman's firing animations, the recoil returns too fast and the weapon ends up losing feedback, and contributes to the issue of the weapons looking weightless, etc. etc.

[sp] USE THE FUCKING EJECTOR ROD, THE CASINGS EXPAND AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO JUST JERK THEM OUT [/sp] As for the revolvers having the same if not lower fire rate than 4's revolver, that's not really the case. The revolvers in both of the previous games fired a bit faster, with NV's 44. magnum being the fastest, 3's a little slower, and 4's firing the slowest. Which is why I prefer NV's iteration of the .44 magnum, it looks powerful, it feels powerful, it sounds powerful, and most of all, it is fast.
Dang this looks good.
Can I get that modlist, because I wanna experience what your experiencing :mindblown: Edit: Scratch that, I checked the description which I missed but I see the modlist now. My Bad.
Anyone having a weird issue where Thickett Excavations on Survival difficulty keeps respawning it's items when you leave the cell then enter it again? It's not even respawning enemies, just items and containers. Just quick trips from sanctuary to thickett, then back to sanctuary and repeat gives me all the loot I want, which is weird.
Doesn't that defeat the purpose of Survival though? But hey, I don't see Beth fixing their shit anytime soon, so I guess I'll just look into that mod
Until Bethesda can make a game capable of playing without game-breaking bugs, I'll stick with my console and quicksaves so I don't lose progress to game stupidity. And to be honest, I'd say the point of survival is all the shit they added and tweaked, rather than the things they restrict you from doing that you could do on your own without the mode.
When the Institute went to get lil' baby Shaun from Vault 111, how come they just didn't take everyone else that was frozen too? Like more bodies to study for a wider variety of synths and you can question them about pre-war life and tech and such.

F4 really ruined revolvers and hunting rifles.

I don't know what pisses me off more.. the magazine or the trigger finger
WHAT IS THAT

So, this adds a chinese machine pistol, its a nifty little thing, weights only 3 kg. it fires the pretty common 5mm but still packs a punch, its not as strong as the default 10mm but it fires a bit faster and its alot lighter... and cooler. you can find it in a "light box" in big town red's clinic. -copyright- ask permission first before doing anything with this. ---------
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/13897/?
3kg fires 5mm
:wow:
Install 200+ mods, works fine, game runs fine, rains, look up at the sky Why do weather mods hate me, even in Skyrim I have this issue.
....How does it fire?
you make the "pew" "pew" sounds yourself and the baddies slowly drop to the floor clutching imaginary wounds as to not seem like a dick
I got nostalgic and reinstalled Fallout NV, I remember someone posting a vid ages back where the gunplay had been modded into a semi-reasonable state with recoil and various other things, any chance any you remember that or can lead me in the right direction to mods improve the gunplay?

Or has there been something more recent by that guy who added two pistols and that gun that ragdolls you when you shoot it. If you're planning on using TTW for double the gameplay, you need to go to the TTW FAQ for a link to the TTW version. Unless you like the Unfound Loot thing, I would advise against getting the TTW Project Nevada Extra Options since it only has a version with that option used and I don't think you can turn it off. [editline]16th February 2017[/editline] This may help you on your quest:
I don't know what pisses me off more.. the magazine or the trigger finger
For me it's the fact that even he was holding a mag-loaded handgun, the magazine would still backwards
F4 really ruined revolvers and hunting rifles.
And shotguns. I'm upset that the double-barreled sucks so much. I would've liked it if we could've made it fucking badass through a workbench to get it to gibbing-raider-torsos levels at the end of its upgrades.
Also Bethesda's inability to add pump action shotguns to the game and lever action rifles that aren't broken and require modders to fix them.
has anyone made this yet [IMG_thumb]https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/2e/7a/43/2e7a43e71fad0c49eb3967afcdcf0b8b.jpg[/IMG_Thumb]
This but unironically. This pistol and the gun from robocop are my favourite examples of guns that totally belong in fallout as unique weapons. I know a lot of people really like the new retro weapon designs, but having the occasional iconic movie prop show up alongside them in this crazy wasteland shooter appeals to me so much. [sp] perhaps we could leave out the wire connecting to the battery down Arnold's sleeve if anyone does get around to putting his gun in the game tho[/sp]

The .223 / 5.56 Pistol is literally just the LAPD 2019 Blaster from Blade Runner, with the NV iteration making it even more obvious (the prop from that movie is also already cobbled together from other pre-existing weapons in a rather similar way to how the prop firearms in the original Star Wars trilogy were handled). Between this and all of the 10mm Pistol iterations, I wouldn't really be surprised if there's going to be another 80's action movie influenced handgun with a retro twist in the future.

Fallout is such a crazy melting pot of different pop culture influences that I feel it loses some of it's charm when it leans too heavily in any one direction. Imo the best way to handle the art direction would be to have another game set on a frontier. Have a setting with more fortified, established and civilised settlements exhibiting the 50's retro future vibe, Places where life is almost as it was before the war, women with well maintained 50's fashion hairstyles and make-up, men with laundered attire in good condition- separated by large swathes of lawless radioactive wasteland populated by crazy leather-fetish raiders and crawling with dangerous mutants. Idk I feel like fallout is just one of those settings where you really can have your cake and eat it in terms of art direction without making everything look unfocused and lacking in direction. Why not take advantage of it?.

If only there was a dedicated sarcastic/80's action one-liner dialogue path in Fallout New Vegas... Wasn't there a mod that added a lot of sarcastic lines? If there's one thing writing-wise that Fallout 4 bested Fallout New Vegas in, it's the proliferation and execution of zingers and jerkassery. Not to say Falllout New Vegas was all dry choices of dialogue... [editline]16th February 2017[/editline] Maybe something like, "Benny~! My old chum! I haven't seen you since that time you shot me in the fucking head!"
I learned the hard lesson of never living and in power armor, and to stay out of the water while in it. My character starting walking over water... well walking isn't the right word, more like gets into a falling animation when he tries to get into the water. I found someone's solution to the same problem and that is was to reload an old save or start a new game. I hope my new character doesn't run into the same problem.
Gonna be trying this Tale of Two Wastelands thing.
Finally got around to trying that Tale of Two Wastelands thing. Fallout 3 was not saturated in green. It was frightening. White Lucky Harith. Racist. Three people in Megaton were walking on air and grunting in pain. I shall not be eating from that noodle bar. I closed the game and uninstalled TTW.

Most of the [Sarcastic] lines seemed more like [Stupid] lines imo. There are only so many times you can have my character say "Haha! I hope the Radiation gives me super powers!" before I start looking for mods that enable him to shoot himself in the head. I only remember one [Sarcastic] line that actually made me laugh, and it was in Nuka world during a conversation with Gage- "Hey boss, can I ask you a question?" "Didn't you just?" "Oh my god I think I might just shoot you instead."
